Rand Ketcham #2

Quest for Iris

They had to find themselves before they could find each other.

Iris endured the humiliation of standing alone at the altar, but she would not believe Baxter deserted her. Even after Father told her he paid Baxter a $1000 to leave her, Iris believed in the love she and Baxter had for one another. She just had to find him.

Baxter Dalton almost the third couldn't believe his misfortune. That Iris's father would have him bound and on a freight wagon bound for Arizona was bad enough. That her father had crammed a thousand dollars in his jacket to leave Iris was disgusting. That her father told Iris he'd left for the money even worse. But the worst part was he still had the money. He needed to face the truth.

Rand Ketcham had no desire to hunt down anyone. No. He wasn't interested for money or fortune. But when he returns home and finds his mother-in-law in town, things quickly change and he's on a quest for Iris.

What an intriguing book! I enjoyed their dedication to each other and the good deed that Rand did at the saloon, but most of all I enjoyed them coming face to face with their faults and their need for forgiveness and a Savior! Their self realization was better than hearing a sermon, yet the reader could see the hand of God gently nudging them to accept Him! A wonderful book and a beautiful testimony of God's mercy!

Can Love Win When Her Family Is Against Her Marriage?

Iris loves Baxter and they are getting married. She is humiliated when Baxter does not make it to the church for the ceremony. She is heartbroken and then angry.

Baxter has been tied up and thrown in the back of a freight wagon. To add insult to injury, Iris's father stuffed a thousand dollars into Baxter's pocket while he lay in the freight wagon.

Iris begins her search for Baxter. Will she find him? Will they get married after all? Read this book to find out. I enjoyed reading about Iris's search for her intended husband.

Definitely a Headstrong Heroine

Interesting characters in this story. The heroine was headstrong to the point of almost being obnoxious, particularly to the man she went to for help finding her fiance. The man she loved was also an interesting character. A lot of action, and a few twists and turns in this Christian romance.

Light clean Western

There is just enough gun fire to make this one a good Western without the fighting being overly done. The talkative and bossy lead character adds fun to the adventures. A great read to forget your troubles.

Quest for Iris is book two of the series by Patricia PacJac Carroll. It's a good book with kidnapping and suspense. A bit of humor along with it.
