M/M YA Romance

Colin Goodwin objects to the notion that he is Cinderella on general principal since he’s a guy. But aside from the different gender, maybe it makes sense. Wyatt Monroe is certainly Prince Charming. That’s what Colin thinks when his boyfriend whisks him away for a romantic vacation.

The normally hard-working teen thinks it’s finally time to have some fun. Except for one problem. His boyfriend isn’t around very much...

But someone else is.

Colin doesn’t want to complain. The glamorous vacation home has everything: a fully stocked kitchen, a lovely garden, and an impressive swimming pool. And where there’s a pool, there’s a pool boy.

Instead of Prince Charming, what if Colin belongs with the stable boy instead? Or in this case, the pool boy. Can the sensible, careful teen take a chance and follow his heart even if it leads him into another man’s arms?
***

Colin's coming of age story includes flirting, friendship, romance, and humor. This gay young adult story is about 45,000 words.

This book was tough to get through. Not because it was badly written, but because all the characters were unlikeable. Colin, although should have come off as the best of them, was still so naive and ignorant. Not very likable traits considering he wanted to be a doctor, but came off as stupid throughout the book.
The story was a mix between a Korean drama from ten years ago and a hot fantasy of sex with the pool boy.
Each character, even Arthur came off as remarkably flawed and gullible and Strange. I am not sure if the author hates rich people, but the Monroes in this story were stereotypically rich assholes. I thought when Colin told off the family, it would have been a bit more to the point besides, his lack of thanking someone for a gift. It left me unsatisfied. Also, Wyatt's have weird return with flowers just shouted how much he didn't have a clue who Colin was.
But Colin was unfaithful. Too chicken to tell Wyatt it was over. He liked the nice house and pool, staying meant more than even the pool boy. He was a guy with little or no honor in my book.
Honor and good guys are what make us love romance. We all want Mr. Darcy, not Whickham.
There were no real goods guys here. No real feelings, at least honest ones, even at the end, Colin didn't tell Wyatt no, but went on to kiss Reese again and start a relationship.
I wouldn't want Colin as a doctor...not trustworthy.

A cool boy by the pool. A hot boy in the pool.

Love is relative, meaning based on relationships. And the kind of love varies based on who is a relative, who is a friend, and who you want your special relationship to be with and who wants to be with you.

A poor boy has what seems to be the love of his life, but life without his love raises questions and opens opportunities to let the eyes, mind, and heart to wonder, wander, and wow! A rich boy has everything and takes it for granted, especially his captive, cute, cuddly poor boy who is holding out for the perfect opportunity to demonstrate love. A month of leasure to share becomes a month of lonely waiting by the pool.

A pool with a vision rising from the mists of another struggling boy working to survive in the gardens of luxury while living in the near poverty of most students. A perfect distraction to a wet boy dream of personalized swim lessons and more with trips to the beach and shopping.

Friendly neighbors and unfriendly boyfriend parents complicate the vacation, but boys can work things out together. I have got to get me a pool with a hot boy....

A different twist to a love story

I have read all 3 of the “summer” series. The first one caught my interest. The second on almost lost my interest and this one brought it back. The story line is a bit different. I am not sure I ever really understood how the rich boy met the common boy but the way things were going seemed about right for an un-matched couple. I know things can work out, but the way it was described in this story was how I usually see things going. Lots of drama, you will find your self pulled into the story. I am beginning to wonder about how the author brings a story to an end. All four of his books have left me wanting. Guess I will try another and see if I feel any different.

I'm a sucker for swimming boys but this was... Nope. This story needs some hardcore editing: when I first read "jelously" instead of jelousy I thought, ok, just a typo, but when it's written at least three times in the same page... There's deeper problems here. And English is NOT my mother tongue.
Oh, and there's cheating if that's a no for you.

I loved this book! Pool Boy has so much wit, humor, and emotions! William the bad boy, rich boy who crashed his expensive luxury car finds himself working as a pool boy for his family resort. Here comes Vanessa trying to enjoy her trip to the resort that she received part of her divorce settlement. She’s hurt that shes been wanting children for years and she finds out her husband having a pregnant girlfriend.
She’s trying to move on but while she’s on this trip might as well play a bit. You’ll find William falling for Vanessa, even if he’s s younger. Can he win her over? Can Vanessa trust anyone again?
You’ll enjoy this book!

Solid Story

I fully enjoyed this story, the theme, the plot. The characters were all very interesting, including the "villain".

The ending seemed to be abrupt and not really explored. Was actually confusing at first but I get the gist of it. There are spelling grammar and punctuation issues, and sentences are jarring in places, along with incorrect word placements (reversed order) and missing words. However, the story itself is solid and I did enjoy it.

Thank you!

Beautiful!

How could I put this book down. Just a wonderful story about a boy learning lessons the hard way. Isn’t that the way things should be? Bravo!
