Allegedly based on a true story (this cannot be confirmed nor denied)...
Many moons ago in a seedy alley that cut through the heart of Toledo, Ohio, Seester McSeesterson and Seymour Snatch stumbled on their way to a hotel room from an evening of drunken debauchery. In that moment, Seester noticed a leather bound journal illuminated by the bright moonlight next to a dumpster.
She never knew that when she opened it their lives would be forever changed. Contained therein was a journal of a man named Larry. For hours they pored over tale after tale of revenge of the highest order, the ultimate in chicanery, and lived out a romance for the ages, coupled with the most electrifying profane lexicon either of them had ever bore witness to.
They searched for years trying to locate this rockstar of revenge and purveyor of profanity, only to come up empty in every search. Soon after, they decided it would be selfish to keep to themselves this epic saga of one man’s transformation from every day office drone to freedom and f*ckery. So they transcribed his journal in order to release it to the world.
ADDITIONAL WARNING: You should NOT read this book. This book contains the most offensive stories of all time and should be banned worldwide. Seymour and Seester are not responsible for any material contained herein and are merely vessels transporting these stories to the masses. Please proceed with extreme caution. You have been warned.
I have to say, season four of Larry is by far my favourite one. It may be because Timmy and Kaley are becoming more like Larry, and I love watching how he handles these tiny versions of himself. It may also be because we get to see more of the bromance that is LarDon/Lonnie/Darry (Larry and Donnie, you get the picture). And of course, the ever-present, Susan. Bane of his existence. One scene in particular had me cracking up at her, shall we say, quirkiness? She really is a piece of work.
Once again, if you are a fan of the underdog getting theirs, and like a bit of debauchery, then you will not be disappointed!
If you thought Larry couldn't be a bigger asshole since season 3...well you'd be wrong, dead wrong! Larry has invented a whole new level of tormenting. He aims his wrath on anyone who mistakenly crosses Uncle Larry, no slight goes unanswered! If you think Jim from The Office pranks but with a malicious twist and you might being to understand Larry. Coping with a son who has an OCD fascination with the number 9 and a little daughter who could teach tactics to terrorists if she didn't frighten them to death first and a pot smoking best friend, oh and you can't forget his "lovely" pill popping wife, Larry is just trying to get through life with a few entertaining pranks. And if you believe than Larry has a special treat for you! This is a satirical look into the life of a middle aged man exasperated in his marriage but doesn't leave because of his kids (he does love them, really he does!) If you've ever had one of "those days" and dreamed about getting even but you knew what you were thinking would get you fired, sued and thrown in jail...well Larry does it for you! I laughed my butt off at his unbelievable feats of revenge that Larry come up with. Not a book for the feint of heart :)
Raunchy vulgar hilarity! If you don't mind the potty mouth Larry has, you can enjoy reading about his daily struggles. There are aspect included that you may not be able to follow if you haven't read the previous seasons of the Larry Chronicles, but at the same time, you will be able to pick up pretty quickly and get a somewhat good idea about what is mentioned. Larry is a man who is unhappy in his marriage and basically hates his wife, yet he puts up with her for fear of losing his kids (who, in his own words are the devils spawns.) He hates his job and his colleagues and honestly, most everyone, except for his neighbor and good friend, Donnie (who often helps Larry in his crazy antics.) Larry is not to be messed with and if anyone crosses him, he'll get his revenge. Most of the things he does as retribution are often illegal and I'm still waiting for him to get busted, but so far he's gone unscathed. These books are a diary of his daily life and all his wrongs and how he made them right. If you can look past the foulmouthed hooligan, you can enjoy his struggles. We also see a little bit of a soft side to him as well. It is a to-be-continued saga. I think it's safe to say, that do to the language, this book is meant for mature readers who aren't easily offended.
Larry has been on hiatus but is back with a vengeance. The vulnerable targets this season are mostly Jim from the office and Larry’s wife, Susan. I have to say that Mother’s Day had me laughing hysterically. I don’t think Susan will ever be able to go to church again. I also quite enjoyed Larry taking Timmy to his first major league baseball game. The next time I go see the Cleveland Indians play, I will remember this chapter.
As with the previous seasons, if you are easily offended, this book is not for you. But if you enjoyed the first three seasons, this one will not disappoint. These must be read in order so if you have not indulged in the Larry chronicles and you enjoy reading and laughing at the same time, I highly recommend this series.
Larry Season 4 picks up where season 3 left off. The hilarity and hijinx continue with Larry and Donnieballs. This season had me laughing to the point of tears. Larry continues to dislike and seek revenge on all those that wrong him or his friend and children. Timmy is still off his rocker with the nines and Kayle is turning out to be a chip off the old block, but one thing that resonates throughout is the love Larry has for his children and his friend Donnie. Sit back and enjoy some laughter at the pranks and antics of The Chronicles of Larry Season 4. I so wish I could give this book 9 stars. Until next season, toodles!
First let me say you NEED to read the previous seasons of Larry before you get started on season four, with that being said you’ll learn the personality that is Larry. I feel this book was more revolved around Larry (of course) and Donnie and their adventures which I couldn’t stop laughing about. One of my jaw dropping moments was the cupcake incident, couldn’t stop laughing. Towards the ending things take a turn and I have no words other then I cannot wait for season five to find out what happens. This is my unbiased and voluntary review.
Larry in a nutshell, I couldn’t have said it better! “One day people will learn. You can't cage this f*cking animal known as Larry.”
Larry 4 picks up where #3 left off with all the participating players! Susan, Kaley, Timmy, Jimmy, Walter and good ole Donnie! Mothers Day, Country Club Golf and Cinco De Mayo will never be the same for me. A quick read that may get you kicked out of bed for lolling if you read while your bed partner is trying to get some sleep.
If satire is your jam, this is the series for you! I’m giving #niners #HipThrusts for this read!
If you ever need a laugh, this book is for you. Larry is twisted, demented, and down right hilarious. His antics get better and better with every season. You'll laugh, shake your head, and just wonder how in the heck the author comes up with these things. Larry isn't for the weak at heart. He cusses a lot, does immature things, and his relationship with his kids is not your everyday NORM. With a son who has a thing with 9's and a daughter who blackmails like the best of them, you're in for one heck of a story with Larry. Sit back, grab a drink, and laugh your butt of, Jimmy Tits.
The Chronicles of Larry is like The Office crossed with Office Space that goes off the deep end. I have never laughed so hard while reading a book. Larry hates life or at least the one he has. He can't stand his wife, his daughter is EVIL & he can't trust her & his son is OCD. Larry does like his neighbor Donnie. Together in Season 4 they cause a little trouble. Larry's daughter shows how much evil is in her. His son is growing up & testing the water even more. Larry's wife wants to make things work with him but he just can't behave around her. Work is still the same for Larry too. Larry does show a side with Donnie that most people don't see. I can't wait for Season 5.
The usual warning, if you don’t like dark demented juvenile humor, you may want to skip this but for the rest of us, our favorite anti-hero is back along with the nines, a devil daughter, his friend Donnie, and of course Susan along with some unfortunate recurring and guest stars. Foul-mouthed, poorly mannered and sucking down ‘livet to take us through another series of his upside down life where he does what he wants because you don’t mess with the king.... unless your his daughter.
Satire books are not my thing but somehow this author's way of portraying this rude, inconsiderate (except when defending/helping his son) man has me coming back for more. I was expecting to read more about Jane but I guess (or I hope) it will happen on the next book. Highlights: baseball game and going to church. This book is not a standalone so make sure you read books 1-3 first.
Not a standalone book, so read the other 3 first. Larry and his shenanigans. Sheesh! I have a hard time deciding if I want to punch him or laugh with him....and then feel bad for laughing. The poor therapist though. The cupcake incident had me rolling on the floor.
Ahh....Larry, what can I say. Between giving the ole nine and the hip thrusts, I think Larry just keeps getting better and better. If you're having a bad day, pick up this ebook and let the laughing begin.
I have not read anything by this author before. With that being said this is the first Larry book I have read. This book was unlike anything I have read before. It held my attention from start to finish to see what all happened with Larry.
As always Larry will leave you laughing and wondering what did I just read. You must have a sense of humor and not get easily offended to read this book. Also to understand what's going on read the first 3 books. Loved it
And he's back - bigger, brasher & more outrageous than ever,. Everything that you have come to expect from Larry is here, but boy does he ramp it up. I loved the deeper insights into Larry, Donnie, Timmy, Kayla and just how they continue to exact whatever revenge they feel like with poor Jimmy, Susan & Walter. Highlights - Cleveland Baseball, Farmers Market , Snack Day & Cinco De Mayo to name a few. Step into Larry's world - you won't regret it!
