Goliath Girls #3

Goliath Girls #3

by Sam Humphries, Miralti Firmansyah (Artist), Jodi Wynne (Letterer)

Issue #3 of Goliath Girls! Where monsters will rise, cities will fall...but best friends are forever! Zelda, Eunice, and Juliet are three best orphans of the Kaiju Generation, and adoptive mothers to their own baby Goliath! For years they've searched for the elusive King of All Goliaths, the one fabled to bring the Forever War to an end. But they're not the only ones on his trail. From Sam Humphries (Harley Quinn, Green Lanterns) and Alti Firmansyah (X-Men '92, Star Lord and Kitty Pryde), comes a story about hope during wartime, and the power of sisterhood. The fate of the world lies in the hands of three teenaged girls and their pet kaiju, as they fight to save us from the goliaths, and save the goliaths from us. Created by Sam Humphries and Alti Firmansyah. Simultaneously available in Japanese same day in Japan through Amazon.jp and worldwide. This explained more of the past and what lead up to this series, and there was lots of action. :)

I read all of these together so it's hard to remember what happened in each to review, but all in all I liked the story, the artwork and the goliath designs

quick read action

I enjoyed it for it to be a short quick read. Rating graphic novels for me is tricky but overall a 3 star is not bad.

I read Issues 3, 4, 5 in quick succession so I don't remember what specifically happened in each one. I enjoyed this first set of Goliath Girls comics and I look forward to more of their stories!

This was super cute! I still really love this art style and these characters. I’ll definitely be continuing this series soon!

When the world is taken over by giant creatures called ‘Goliaths’, do you choose to fight them, or protect them? Three badass FMCs fight to protect their Goliath who they’d raised from birth with the hope to live with the Goliaths instead of at war with them. Another group of girls oppose them with the opinion that humanity will be saved when the Goliaths are all dead. These two groups are deeply connected in complex relationships including childhood friends, sapphic relationships and bitter hatred. This was such a fun, beautifully illustrated read. I can’t wait for the series to be continued!!
