About the author

Amy Spector

32 books125 followers
Amy Spector grew up in the United States surviving on a steady diet of old horror movies, television reruns and mystery novels.

After years of blogging about comic books, vintage Gothic romance book cover illustrations, and a shameful amount about herself, she decided to try her hand at writing stories. She found it more than a little like talking about herself in third person, and that suited her just fine.

She blames Universal for her love of horror, Edward Gorey for her love of British drama and writing for awakening the romantic that was probably there all along.

Amy lives in the Midwest with her husband and children, and her cats Poe, Goji, and Nekō.

A few years back I was reading Almost But Not Quite and while I was melting into a puddle, an evil stepbrother pops out of nowhere and we 're all like "what the shit is happening!".

I learnt my lesson then and now I know that whenever I read an Amy Spector book I can go from...

in ten seconds flat. Anyway, this is not even a short story, it's just an MM creepy, funny, sweet flash about that evil stepbrother we met in Almost But Not Quite. If you haven't read the original story, go for it. It's free and lovely!

This one is a bit dark. Matthew is the narrator as he has a visit from his boyfriend Timothy. I found it interesting that he sounds so rational and then we see glimpses that prove he isn't.

Disturbing, macabre, clever, and funny! If you like sweet chocolates mixed with unexpected ginger and lime, this is the book for you.
