From the time she was old enough to form such bold opinions, D. Gabrielle Jensen has loved good music and robust storytelling, hated the sound of her government name, and yearned for the commotion and serenity of a major metropolis. She has won writing awards she forgot about long ago, and college was a string of 4 a.m. discussions and Greek mixers so she filed all of that away as inconsequential.

Out in the wild, D. can be found roaming rooftops and alleyways with her camera, screaming in the front row of a concert, or on the hunt for a damn fine cup of coffee. Or just hanging out at home with her cat. Follow her online, strike up a conversation, and she’ll gladly take all those black jelly beans off your hands.

Moving

I love poetry.it's part of who I am...but rarely do I find poetry that mas me cry. The first one in this book did. The second one also hit hard. All of these are amazingly written and hit the emotional parts hard.

M*th*rf*ck*ng PINK TAX

That motherf*cking “pink tax”, read this book if you’ve ever left a store pissed because you paid more for the pretty razors, if you’ve ever been shamed for that “little red stain,” if you felt for the girl on the news who is being interrogated as though it was her fault she fell victim to assault because she wore the wrong thing.

D. Gabrielle has pushed the boundaries as an ally and a voice for the disenfranchised with this one!
Each poem is seething with anger and frustration over inequality, shame, and hate posed toward those who are merely trying to live their lives!
She’s tackled the taboo, and come out shining, for that this one gets 5 stars!
