I hear you thinking: Why are you still reading these books?! Well, I want to know how this series end! I'm just too curious and the books only take 1 hour and a half to finish, so why not?! I'm still not enjoying the books that much and I find even more things that annoy me... I know I'm not that kind right now, but I also don't really understand the 4.05 score this book is getting, as well as the other books, always 4 or higher. I just don't understand.

It's still a big compliment to Audrey Carlan that I still want to know how this series end, while I'm not enjoying the books that much. Maybe it's not my thing. Maybe I feel like being an escort is romanticized (is that a word?) in this book... Maybe these books are not for deep thinking and being overly critical, but I just don't feel the connection with the main character and the book while reading it. Combined with the sappy thoughts, loads of sex scenes and weird choices from the main character, I'm still not feeling it.

It took me forever to finish this one. I´m not sure if its the norwegian translation or what but there are A LOT of cliches, as in "I´ve learnd so much through this experience" in every chapter.

Un nouveau mois, un autre tome. J'aime tellement suivre les aventures de Mia au fil des mois. Nous sommes déjà au milieu de l'aventure Calendar Girl et je ne m'en lasse vraiment pas. Chaque tome apporte son lot de nouveauté et d'expérience diverses pour cette personnages principal préféré.
Comme c'est souvent le cas maintenant avec les tomes précédents, j'apprécie autant sinon plus revoir les anciens clients de Mia que de suivre l'intrigue principale. Dans le cas de ce mois-ci, Warren est bien gentil, mais il ne restera pas gravé dans ma mémoire comme les autres. C'est vrai, son âge y est pour quelque chose, mais je l'ai trouvé fade. Il n'avait pas cette petite étincelle habituelle qu'ont les clients de Mia.
La fin est plus surprenante que les tomes précédents, ça c'est sans conteste. Jusqu'à maintenant, chaque fin de tome était mignonne. Mais cette fois, Audrey Carlan change la donne. Une chance qu'un des hommes de Mia était présent pour venir à son secours! Mia aura appris sa leçon à la dur ce mois-ci.
Bref, un bon tome encore une fois. Très addictif comme toujours. On voit vraiment une évolution chez Mia au fil des mois et c'est ce que je préfère. Chaque fois que je débute un nouveau tome, je me demande quelle leçon Mia apprendra cette fois. Et je suis toujours surprise du résultat.

This was a month without great stories or great emotions, except at the end. Mia's work was the typical luxury companion of older men.
The final though dramatic, was necessary to give us a different point of view, that not everything in this profession is a sea of roses, was a wake-up call to reality.

I actually liked this book, I didn't like the fact that Fuck that guy!
It really gets better with time, and you get to see more of her personality and the struggles she faces.
However, I think I wouldn't have continued it if it wasn't for our bookclub.

This installment of Mia’s journey to earn the money to save her father is so much more than just about the money. In DC, Mia learns to “Trust the Journey” that is her life. She struggles with finding her home, taking care of those she loves, and letting her ‘family’ take care of her. The challenges Mia has this month really resonated with me, and I feel like she’s becoming stronger and stronger each month. I love the way her beauty shines through with grace and dignity know matter what happens.
I love Audrey’s writing style and I’m certain that I could be Mia in my next life :) ~ Heather, 5 stars

Warren Shipley is trying to do some good in the world by helping others in foreign countries with western medicine. His son is a Senator, so has connections, but what he needs is an in with other business associates. That is why he hired Mia, so he will fit in with the others, who all have a gold digger dripping off of their arms.
Mia looks a lot at herself and her journey so far this month. She does a lot of soul searching and decides this is the path she needs to stay on. Even with all the friends she has made thus far willing and able to help her out, she know she needs to do this by herself or she will never feel like she was able to take care of her family.
While I have not always agreed with Mia’s choices the past couple of months, I do understand them. Just like a real person, Mia is going to stumble at times, and possibly fall down. It’s what she does when she hits the ground that is the important part. Will she get herself back up, or give up and lay down? So far, Mia has gotten up time and time again, swinging and ready for more. I love that about her character.
There is a situation at the end of this book that some may find hard to read. I do not agree with Mia’s decision on the handling of the problem, but I once again understand her POV and the damage going further could cause. ~ Devlynn, 4.5 stars

Tja, uhh. Dit deel was gewoon meh. Mia is perfect en kan iedereen helpen bij hun relaties. O en alle oude klanten zijn nu in eens 'familie' van haar? Hopelijk krijgt ze ooit nog een klant waarmee ze het niet goed kan vinden.

I kinda liked this book better than last month because there happened more. At the same time I was disgusted by the way politics were described. I can't really tell whether it is the truth or not, but it genuinely disgusted me.

Samen met Books Ever After lezen we nog altijd stug door in deze serie. Aangezien het al weer juni is besloot ik me gelijk aan dit deel te wagen. Helaas vond ik Juni echt een stuk slechter als alle andere boeken in deze serie tot nu toe. Zelfs Februari vond ik minder erg als deze.
Dit boek omvat echt alle clichés. Tevens ook niet heel origineel: personeel dat verliefd is op haar baas waarbij Mia dan wel even inspringt.. Dat kunstje kennen we ondertussen wel. Wes blijven verwijten wat ze zelf ook doet.. Ik hoop dat Juli weer iets beter is, want deze was echt vreselijk.

I wasn't really looking forward to this one, not sure I wanted to read about Mia being arm candy to an old guy. I was happy that the old guy just wanted Mia to pretend to be a couple with him. I found it interesting how Mia realized what was going on with the old guy and the house manager and how she pushed them to bringing them out in the open. I was shocked with what happened at the end, glad that Mia had people to stand up for her and for Mia to realize that through these months she found people who will be by her side and be there for her whenever she needs them.

I love this series!! Mia's adventures get better and better every month. DC is where we find Mia this month and the games are on. She is assigned to a big business mogul who must dress to impress and with Mia on his arm how can he go wrong!?! Audrey Carlan writes the best characters and I look forward to meeting them every month with this series. This is a must read!!

This one had a little more depth to Mia's life, hence the 4 stars! Still a very fun series that I am enjoying. I really do love the format of the monthly job and all the little life things that go along with each new family she touches!

Month six In Audrey Carlans Calendar Girl series takes Mia Saunders down a very new and very different path as she lands in Washington DC and finds herself navigating the political landscape. This assignment leaves her challenged and vulnerable in a way I simply didn’t anticipate.
The theme of the series, Mia’s journey, gets a shot of intensity and some darkness that changed up the tone of the story. This managed to make this the first time I’ve cried while following Mia’s year-long adventure. The story has had many moments where angst and heartbreak were key emotions, but in this part of the story we see Mia experience the dreadful feeling of fear, which is a far away from the feeling of love that’s dominated the storyline. Make no mistake, Mia does experience some fun and happy moments. She reconnects with the man who very well may be her soul mate and she discovers that she is able to hand out some great relationship advice affirming that she is sooo much more than a professional escort. She may have in future in politics as well.
June may have had a few harder moments in it, but with adversity we grow. Now we are left to wonder what July in Florida will bring for Mia.
My gratitude to the author for another stellar installment in the calendar girl series!! 5 Stars and series recommendation.

While Mia had her reservations about the prospect of escorting an older client, Warren Shipley is the epitome of a gentleman, and has no desire to sample Mia’s gorgeous wares.
The absence of a love interest on her June assignment, finds Mia dwelling on her time with Wes and what might have been, while reflecting on the relationships she has formed and her now extended family.
But an unexpected event has the capacity to destroy Mia’s faith in what she has achieved in her quest for independence and question what lies ahead in the future.
JUNE is a very emotional story and shows the depth of Mia’s personality and her inability to believe she is capable or deserving of long-term love. Hopefully by the time this journey ends, Mia will know where her heart belongs.

Very unrealistic way in which Mia just waltzes into people's life, questions their whole world during day two and always makes people realize that holy cheezes, they are in love.
