It’s all in a day’s work for librarian Ripley Van Raden. Ripley expects to encounter ghosts when she moonlights as a haunted tour guide around town, but a plethora of spirits at the library isn’t something she wants to check out.
Sure, Ripley receives text messages from the deceased former librarian who haunts the library, but Annie Gibson is a friendly ghost. Evil spirits are an entirely different chapter. When Ripley discovers a dead guy on her front porch and loses her job at the library, she realizes this might not be the happily ever after she wanted.

This book was really full of action. Maybe even more than the rest of the series. Tons of ghosts also. There were a lot of grammar issues but the book was so good that I was able to overlook them. Looking forward to the next one!
I’ve read many books by this author and I have always enjoyed them. This book was like it had not been edited. The same exact phrase used in back to back sentences, conversations between characters that made them seem like they were in sixth grade, and the lead character doing the stupidest things she’d ever done in any of the books that’s far. A huge disappointment!
Rip finds a dead body on her front porch & things just domino down from there. Mrs Agnew finally fires Rip, who is heartbroken, but expected. Mrs Agnew was always looking for an excuse to fire Rip, & after all the publicity of the dead body on Rip's front porch, & her accusations toward Rip for being responsible for all the paranormal activity, she got her chance. Then Rip finds out that Mrs Agnew already had a new Librarian lined up to take her place, who was none other that the wife of the dead man. On top of that, she also finds out that the wife used the services of a witch to cast a spell to give her the job at the library...at a much larger salary.
Now the ultimate question, what is the connection with the dead man? Another great book by Pressey, but a lot of gramatical errors. Misspellings, words left out of sentences, wrong words used in sentences, using "ing" instead of "ed", & including remarks from 2 different people within the same quote (which caused confusion). That said, I enjoyed the story, & have already started her next book in the series.
Not one of my favourites in the series. Still a fast action packed read. Although she loves her job, she couldn't wait to close. It was pouring and she still had to cancel her ghost tour. However the last patron gave her a bad vibe and as she watched him cross the road, the woman waiting for him gave her an even worse one. Then when she gets home, cold and wet, she finds a dead man on her porch! Demons, an influx of ghosts, losing her job, nepotism and attempts on her life follow her as she tries to unveil the plot that has been hatched. Can they foil it? Can the demon be sent back to whence it came? An okay plot but just some loose ends that didn't get cleared up.
This is a great book; this is the eighth book in the Ghostly Haunted Mystery series written by Rose Pressey. It’s all in a day’s work for librarian Ripley Van Raden. Ripley expects to encounter ghosts when she moonlights as a haunted tour guide around town, but a plethora of spirits at the library isn’t something she wants to check out. When Ripley discovers a dead guy on her front porch and loses her job at the library, she realizes this might not be the happily ever after she wanted. This is a great book with a wonderful story and well developed characters. This book will keep you reading long into the night. If you are looking for a great book, then you need to read this book. I am looking forward to reading the next book by this great author.
Always a 5gold star for Rose Pressey and this amazing series A Ghostly Haunted Tour Guide Mystery Series. I like this Paranormal Series because it brings together everything paranormal and friends, family!y to help take care of things. There is nothing bad in this series that won't have young adults on up reading this series. If you like Paranormal Mystery's then Rose Pressey is the Author for you to read. All Rip wanted was to keep working in the Library but after a man is found died on her front door step she's fired. Now with her friend by her side and her boyfriend the detective its up to them to figure out why Rip was fired and to stop a demons before Rip is out of the picture for good.
Ridley sees ghosts. As the librarian in a haunted library she speaks to Annie the resident ghost. When a demon ghost shows up it is imperative that the portal is found and the ghost demon sent back from where it came. The demon ghost shows up at the annual Halloween party and causes quite a ruckus until finally Ripley and Brannon send it back through the portal.
Ripley certainly knows how to investigate a murder; too bad she is not a detective or a PI but a librarian. She also can see and talk to ghosts so what could go wrong? This story moves very quickly and is full of suspense especially with the lady in black. If you have enjoyed the other stories about Ripley, you will really like this one.
So far my favorite book in the series! They just keep getting better and better! The story line and plot in this one were so riveting and intriguing that I couldn't do anything else, but keep turning pages. All I can say is WOW!!!! Great ghostly mystery!!!!!
Definitely a great series! Have inhaled it! Read the first and just had to keep reading. I feel as I know the characters and want to go visit and go on her ghost tour!
Rip is a great character and I love every book that she stars in. There is always a new mystery to be solved and ghosts to exorcise. Brannon, Tammy and the rest just add to the series as well.
This book will get you hooked from the beginning. I hated to put it down. Finally made it through.....stayed with it. I am loving ROSE PRESSEY.....truly gift writer who keeps you hooked until the very end!!
This was a fantastic book . Great storyline and very suspenseful. I would recommend this book to everyone. I can’t wait for another book in this series.
I liked this one the best so far. A few editing errors. RIP didn't come off as such a scaredy cat in this one. Looking forward to reading the next book.
Great as usual. Have it 4 stars instead of 5 due to author continues to make multiple errors of leaving out words and using wrong words etc. Needs a proof reader.
All Rip wanted was to keep working at the Library ,but soon she was fired because of a dead body found on her front porch. Now it's up to her and her friends to find out why this man was murdered on her porch and why she really was fired and why there's a demon after her as will as a killer. Time is running out for Rip and her friends to find the answers.
