Blogging for Dollars💃💋📝!

Emma💃💋📝 is a newly unemployed reporter. Her second job at night to pay the bills costs her her intern reporter 📝job because she kept falling asleep at work. it's a catch 22 situation!
Over massive quantities of cheap 🍷wine, her best friend suggests she try publishing an online news blog to become her own boss.

Brice🐺🍆🌋🏈 is an ex NFL🏈 QB, who was a total party boy before a bad leg injury ended his career. He had it all and he lost it all.

He wises up and goes back to college, gets a degree, and starts a player agent business. Pretty soon Brice🐺🍆🌋🏈 is representing a lot of great 🏈football players and he's making a lot of 💰money.
But all the late night playboy antics have caught up with Brice🐺🍆🌋🏈 at age 39. He finds himself asking the age old question. Is that all there is?

Emma💃💋📝 has a lot of research on a serial killer she wants to publish. The paper would never let her publish the story. With her own blog, she can publish all of her crime stories.

A call comes from Emma's Aunt. Her father, the coach at the high school where both Brice🐺🍆🌋🏈 and her older brother, Tyler, were 🏈football stars, has died suddenly. In Emma's mind, Brice🐺🍆🌋🏈 left them all hanging years ago when he went off to college on a 🏈football scholarship. Emma💃💋 was only 12, but she had a huge crush on Brice🐺🍆🌋🏈, and she's never forgiven him.

Her dad's funeral brings it all back. Brice🐺🍆🌋🏈 has the nerve to show up at the funeral! Emma💃💋📝 thinks she still hates Brice🐺🍆🌋🏈! Brice🐺🍆🌋🏈 thinks he really wants to get to know her now that she is all grown up, beautiful, and outspoken!

ARC Received via Bookfunnel.
I also bought the book📑 for my kindle library.

Interesting and very well thought out Adult Romance novel. The author has several stories going on at the same time in this book. Time, and writing experience have made each of his 📚books better than the one before! Recommend.

Emma💃💋📝 is figuring out who a serial killer is and needs another job to make ends meet. Brice🐺🍆🌋🏈 is burned 🔥out on his successful business and wants to do something else. Neither one is looking for 💘love, least of all with a childhood friend!

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review and holy moly, I just keep getting more and more amazed by this author and his versatility! This is DEFINITELY a 5+ star book with an intriguing plot, memorable characters, extreme steam, and a dangerous mystery!

The plot in this book is very different from previous R.R. Banks books but it was handled with his usual aplomb and care. I would say this is a slow-burning story that fully ignites into a glorious, passion-filled tale of not only love, but intense danger.

I was pulled in by and promptly cared about the characters. I enjoyed watching the growth in their attitudes as the book progressed. I loved the interplay between the protagonists; several times I laughed aloud at something one of them said or thought. I appreciated the little bits of humour in an otherwise serious, and thrilling, book.

Spoilery parts!

This is a romance written around a murder mystery so there are a few sort of violent parts that might trigger someone. The details arent super gory, and its NOT superfluous, so no worries. I will also say the research and attention to detail that went into this book is readily apparent and highly appreciated! This IS an amazing and well told story that will leave you wanting more of Brice, Emma, and many of the endearing supporting characters. I loved it and more than recommend it!!!

This book had a lot of potential but it could have been much better.

Emma and Brice are the main characters. They grew up together, Brice was Emma’s brothers best friend, but they haven’t seen each other in years. That changes when they’re both called back to their hometown for her fathers funeral.
Brice can’t believe how much Emma has changed. There’s an instant attraction, on his end that is. Emma hates Brice. She finds him selfish, entitled, and arrogant. But things start to change and heat up and Emma finds herself letting down her walls when it comes to Brice.
When Brice buys the paper that Emma was fired from and gives her a job doing crime journalism, Emma’s life is put into danger. She’s on the trail of a serial killer and he knows she’s on to him. Brice will do anything to save Emma and Emma will do anything to get her story and bring this killer to justice.

I enjoyed the initial story line. A hate to love romance plus a crime thriller, perfect combination for me. The book started out great. I liked the characters and the interactions between them were good, not cheesy or annoying like most of these romance novels. Towards the middle of the book however, I began to lose interest. It was like the author got bored and tried to speed up the story. The romance was suddenly full force and there was no more build up even through Emma literally hated Brice only a few chapter ago. I would have liked to see their relationship evolve a little more before diving right into “I love you, I want to spend the rest of my life with you”.

The thriller aspect also started out good. But again, the author seemed to speed up the story line and ended up leaving out details and not tying up loose ends.
Emma started her investigation by connecting several murders of young girls and deeming it to be the same killer. She instantly suspects a well known man in the community, Carlyle Hawkins, with no real reason why. She then breaks into the mans house and magically finds everything she needs to know to prove he’s the killer but can’t do anything without admitting she broke in. Carlyle is onto her and somehow knows she knows his secret with no explanation as to how he knows. He follows her, threatens her, and gets the police force to do the same.
There was a part in the story that was inconsistent and made no sense. Emma releases a story about the murders, never naming her suspect. Suddenly the police are harassing her and the comment is made that she is “making things hard for Hawkins”. Hawkins was never mentioned in her article and no one ever points out the fact that the police just gave Hawkins and themselves away. It just goes unnoticed.
Once again, the author speeds up the story. It’s mentioned that Emma releases several more articles but not what they were about. We find out that the police are getting upset about the articles but there’s never another story line into that either.

The book started out good and at a good pace but then seemed very rushed towards the middle and end. Emma’s brother and best friend from the beginning of the story are never mentioned again. Not even when Emma is in the hospital after almost begin killed, not when Brice proposes, and not when Emma finds out she’s pregnant. What happened to them? They seemed like staple characters at the beginning of the book and then just disappeared. There was very little consistency later on in the story.

I know I’ve said this a million times but it was too rushed! Sadly I had to give two stars even though it sounded like such a good book and had so much potential.

When is R.R. Banks going to have his books submitted to be turned into films??  This is yet another that I would go to see!  This is so much more than any mere romance.  We have an addict recovering from his injuries that stopped his football career and changed his life forever more.  Brice turned his life around and invested wisely and turned himself intro a very successful businessman.  When he hears that his best friend's dad has died, who helped him as a young boy/man to  get into professional football, he knows that he must support his friend and show his respect to the man who was so important to him.  Whilst there he also sees Emma, his best friend's younger sister who has now blossomed in every way his x-rated mind could possibly imagine but she looks at him with almost hate in her eyes which confounds him.|Emma had crushed on Brice from afar whilst young [way too young for him at the time] but now the age difference is meaningless and he's even more gorgeous than ever. But he never came back and she feels so betrayed.  meanwhile she has lost her job and is in dire straights and when Brice hears about it [all the while her using her nickname for him which is 'a@@hole'!  He plays hero to her when her abusive ex attacks her and she tends to Brice's wounds at home. This is when the story really heats up. This is a Book by R.R. Banks  so when I say heat - I mean HEAT as in scalding!  There is certainly plenty of passion between them but she immediately regrets it. But Brice wants more. He's never felt this way about any woman before but she won't give him a chance so he's obviously going to have to be sneaky to get a second chance with her...and he knows exactly what he's going to do!  Brice is no fool  but he's  a man on a mission and that's to see if there is any chance of something being very real between him and Emma. He's got the money to make things happen so he can solve her employment issue and help his business acumen simultaneously.  But Emma has a real 'story' that her previous editor wouldn't touch. But her fabulous new editor is a woman of vision and she thinks Emma is worth the risk so encourages her. But it's not long before threats are received.  With kidnapping, new passions, real love, mystery, more murders and a creepy break in.  Who is behind these murders?  Is Emma too close to the truth? Can Brice win her love and keep her safe??  If there is one book that you buy this year - this must be it!!!!!  Magnificent.  This book illustrates perfectly why R.R. Banks is one of the USA's best selling authors.  I received a reader's copy of the book and voluntarily leave my honest opinion of it here.  Magnificent - Definitely Recommended

Another hot item from R.R. Banks,,,,,,

Brice Kelly is a 39 year old ex quarterback, who couldn't play anymore after an injury,,, he also has a degree in Sports Management and has started his own business called "Cutting Edge Management" and he lives in L.A.,,,, his second in command and most trusted employee is his best friend Pete Paulson,,,,,his best friend in high school was Tyler Simmons and they played high school football under the direction of Coach Simmons,,,, Tyler went to Texas A+M and Brice went to USC,,,,,and now Brice has just heard the news,,,, Coach Simmons has just died,,,, Brice was practically one of the family at Tyler's,,, he HAD to go to the coach's funeral,,,,, back home to Morro Bay he goes,,,,

Emma Simmons is 12 years younger than her brother Tyler,,,, she is 27 and was working at the Long Beach Times Daily, but has recently been caught sleeping thru her lunch hour,,,,, AGAIN,,,, now Helen Arnolt, the Editor-in-chief, has caught her and is taking Emma into her office,,, Emma is only like part time and in order to make ends meet, she helps at a sports bar at night, called The Hot Spot, not getting enough sleep is a big thing,,,,she went to Morro Bay State and graduated but hasn't been hired full time in journalism yet,,,, but, she has other problems now, her mother died of Cancer years back and she just got the call that her dad had a heart attack and died,,, she has to go home,,,,,

This was kinda an emotional book, but was was a good read,,,, Brice is going home and Emma is no longer Tyler's little brat sister,,,, Brice is looking at Emna and can't believe how she looks,,but he can't think of that now,,,,after all, her father just died and she's Tyler's little sister,,,, go out and grab this book,,,, go to your favorite reading perch and sit down for a book you just can't put down,,,, I would totally recommend this book to anyone,,,,,

Reading this story was like falling into an old feather bed: it just engulfed me in an environment that felt so comfortable and natural that I never wanted to leave. That’s not to say that everything was quiet and boring in this story… nope, there was plenty going on in this pulse-pounding thriller. But RR Banks always creates such an interesting and dynamic place that I can’t help but want to be there with his characters. I never want his sexy reads to end.

I don’t even want to try to hit the “highlights” in this story. I’m afraid if I try, this review will turn into a book on its own. I will say the best parts of this book to me are the well-paced plot, the great writing, and the dynamics of the richly created characters. Brice and Emma, in particular, are full of interesting personality traits—not all of them so endearing. They carry baggage from a history that was tough on them, but they had excellent people in their past as well who helped shape them into strong, resilient, insightful leaders. Their chemistry sparks like heat lightning in a summer storm, and their intelligent banter brings an entirely different kind of fun to their story.

Readers will find plenty of awesome steamy heat in love scenes and some adult language/situations. Sensitive readers should be aware that trigger scenes are possible concerning kidnapping, making this a story that can be shared with your best friend. Mostly though, this is a beautiful story about broken souls finding healing within the concept of second chances, standing up for what you believe in, and making amends.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Wow! This was an awesome book, one you NEED to READ—you won’t regret it! This book is packed with murder, mystery, suspense, drama, intrigue, and kidnapping. This book will continue to keep you glued to the pages of this fascinating story. I wasn't expecting the turn this story just took; it has quite an unexpected surprise in which I was holding my breath, but it is jaw-dropping good! This book was impossible to put down, and it will have you on the edge of your seat. From the very first page, I was spellbound by these fantastically described characters that are so believable that you will find yourself falling in love with—or not. R.R. Banks has become one of my favorite authors—you know that his books will be salacious with an engrossing love story, an interesting plot and dialogue with strong conflicts. I loved the characters of Emma Simmonds and Brice Kelly. Brice is drop dead gorgeous, enigmatic, sexy, wealthy businessman, and alpha that cannot take no for an answer. Emma and Brice are drawn together like the proverbial moth to the flame and their chemistry is palpable, reflected in every look, every touch, and every word uttered between them. You will need to read to find out what happens, but it will be worth reading. The scenes are well written, fast-paced and flow smoothly from one scene to the next. This was an enjoyable book with an interesting plot and dialogue, and it keeps you reading to the end to find out what happened—it will pique your interest and drawn you in.

BE STILL MY BEATING HEART!!!
Wow! Talk about a slow burn. This little baby will take on the ride of your life. Banks lays this little guy out in full glory. No holds barred, no stone unturned, throwing caution to the wind. A rollercoaster of emotions to sort through along with a few kinks here and there. You get all the drama, heat, spine tingling, heart pounding, adrenaline pumping, thrilling scenes that have you on the edge of your seat. This page turning bombshell captives from the start with all the suspense and danger at every turn. You will not part with this little jewel for an instant until the last word. I read it twice and I will read it again. Yes, it's that good. This is one fantastic storyline with all the pomp and circumstance to hold your attention. The characters are complex, well developed and so realistic I felt I could just reach out and touch them. Their personalities are unique with qualities that play off one another in perfect balance. The scenes are graphic and detailed it paints a fantastic backdrop with such realism you have no trouble picturing it in your mind's eye. The twists and turns are exciting with all the mystery and danger dogging their heels. Banks did an exceptional job bringing this read to life flawlessly. Fantastic job Banks, thanks for sharing this awesome read with us.

Affaire d’intrigue et d’amour

To be frank this is another cool story from Mr. Banks, but this time this book is though out a completely in a different way.
A very memorable, fascinating twist of wondrous excitement of danger. A discovery of never ending intrigue and passions.

I thoroughly enjoyed sampling those characters. Emma with her feisty, Sassy, no nonsense attitude toward Brice. Nickname and all.
Brice, He’s taking it in stride, he particularly knows who and what’s he’s about when his lady love is concerned in all affairs of safety, her bod and heart.

I was seduced in a murder mystery that kept me entertained and wanting to devour this book very quickly.

R.R. Banks’s outlandish outcome for this novel was such an amazing surprise.
Delicious and extremely appreciated. The characters have this great, tumultuous, sexy chemistry .
Keep them coming like that R.

Although I’m appreciative of the ARC, I always KU for such an accomplished author Best Seller that is R.R. Banks.
I wholeheartedly recommend this book of twist, adventure and a whole lot of interesting delights. Wink !

Emma Simmons and Brice Kelly are two amazingly stubborn characters that Mr. Banks has created to craft another outstanding romance, however, within these dramatic and intriguing pages, you will be floored with their powerful passion and courage. Jeez, I really don't think it is possible for Mr. Banks to release anything other than riveting and addictive storylines that draw the reader right in. I do not want to give away any part of this release, so I will try to summarize and not expose all of the goodness inside.

Emma had a huge crush on Brice, who was best friends with her Brother. After success went to his head and years passes, this journalistic intern received a shock that brings them both together again. What transpires after their meeting... well, you will have to read Saving Emma to find out. I truthfully loved every word of this release. I highly recommend anything by Mr. Banks and Saving Emma is right up there in the 'must read' list.

I voluntarily requested an advanced reader's copy of Saving Emma in exchange for my honest opinion and believe you'll be as enraptured as myself with this impressive book.

Once again this author amazes and delivers another read that is impossible to put down. Brice & Emma are amazing as is the story which flowed beautifully and kept me turning the pages. The opening is one of my favourites in any of the books I have read with Brice in the bar and what he doesn’t do or is even tempted to do which sets him apart from many other characters out there, it made me fall for him right away. Emma was a bit stubborn but rightfully so regarding her past with Brice but she comes around w/o too much drama...loved it.
A read with steamy oh my steamy scenes and two people who are perfect for each other. The story drew me in and what I loved loved loved was their relationship, the open and honesty between them, no over the top drama, no lies or secrets, no women coming between them, the protectiveness of Brice and how both of them embraced the relationship and what they were feeling....refreshing and I LOVED IT...and the bit of suspense that had me on the edge of the seat to see what happens. Worth more than 5++++++ stars.

Emma is a reporter and working as an intern for a newspaper. When her boss at the paper makes her stop researching story that seemed like there was something truly going on she was upset but needed the work so she set it aside. However after she was fired she picked it back up and stumbled into something dangerous with her research. Brice is an entertainment agent and is starting to feel restless working as the CEO of his own company and wants to make a change. When Brice comes back to town for a funeral of his old coach he runs into Emma and learns about the story she's researching. Sparks fly between them and Brice isn't about to standby and watch as Emma delves into something that could cause her harm. Will Brice convince Emma to give him a chance? Will Emma get her story out before it gets her?

This is an amazing story once I started it I couldn't put it down. The chemistry between Brice and Emma is off the charts hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

I received an advanced copy of this novel for my honest review. I could not put it down and read it in one setting. This is the story of star crossed lovers Emma and Brice. Emma is an aspiring investigative crime reporter and Brice is a wealthy former pro football player turned businessman. They knew each other from back home. When Brice left and became famous he abandoned his closest friends including Emma's family. The story takes off from their reunion at Emma's dad's funeral. Her dad was Brice's coach in high school. The plot takes many turns and Emma and Brice fall for each other. Their love is sweet, authentic, sexy and romantic but not without complications. Emma lands a job at a reputable newspaper and pursues her crime leads on a serial killer. She gets in too deep and her life becomes threatened. The mystery and suspense took my breath away. You must read to fill in the details. This novel is very different for Author Banks and he delivers an outstanding story.

Loved Emma and Brice. Emma is now an unemployed reporter who is now going to be researching her cold case file on 3 murders and doing her own blogging. When she gets a call from her aunt that her father died, she is devastated. Brice is an ex NFL football player but is doing well for himself and his own company. When he finds out his football coach from high school has passed away, he decides to go and pay his respects. These two grew up together and Brice was best friends with Emma's brother. She is much younger than the men but has always had a crush on Brice, even when she was 10. He ghosted their family back in college and she hasn't forgiven him since then. She thinks he's arrogant, self centered, egotistical etc, can a person change after so many years? You'll have to read the book to find out. I loved the storyline and how it developed as well as the characters within. It kept my attention throughout the entire book and it was hard to put down. Enjoy.

Storyline is great, execution not so great.

When it got to the heart of the issue, the book was almost done. I skimmed several pages just so I can get through it. There may be SPOILERS ahead:
Emma hates Brice for essentially growing up and moving on. She had a crush as an 11-year-old and gives him a mortal hell after her father's funeral, because he showed up to give his respects to the man he considered a father in high school. They have angry sex one time (after which she calls him a mistake and makes him leave) and Brice buys the newspaper she was fired from, just to give her a job. The relationship was too contrived and forced. There was zero chemistry between the H&h. When he was talking about the murders and the best amid reporting it was interesting. As soon as it zeroed in on the relationship it was ridiculous. I don't mind installment-love , or installment-lust, even love at first sight. This just wasn't written well enough to be remotely believable.

Fierce passion, suspense, redemption, and love- thats just the tip of the iceberg of what Brice and Emma's exciting story has to give.
When Brice comes back to his hometown pay his last respects to a man, who helped shape his younger years, seeing Emma all grown up is a shock to his system!
His best friends sister has some harsh feelings towards him from his younger days. But the intense magnetic connection between them- he cannot help but want to change her mind.
Too bad Emma isn't of the same mind, she has her own plans to pursue. They certainly do not include him! Brice will have his work cut out for him.
A sexy well-written beast of a tale, with a few twists and one helluva turn, I loved every crazy fast paced heartbeat minute of it!

Wow what an amazing story and it’s another hit by R.R. Banks and this is the story of Emma and Brice. Emma has always had a crush on her brothers best friend, they eventually went their own ways. Brice was in the NFL and now he’s a billionaire business man and Emma is a crime reporter. Emma is looking into a crime but it’s more serious than she can even handle and far more dangerous, Brice steps in and helps her out and he will do anything to protect Emma. There’s mystery, danger, suspense, love and some pretty hot sizzling scenes and there’s so much more to keep you entertained and turning the pages. An absolutely fantastic story a 5 plus +++++ ⭐️ read and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.

A really good romance with lots of heat. ❤️️😍🔥❤️️

I absolutely love this book! Brice and Emma knew each other because he was her older brother's best friend. But with twelve years between them, there was no way for anything to happen between them then. And he only saw Emma as a bratty ten years old the last time they saw each other. But now, twenty years later, life brings them all back together for a funeral and they have a chance to get to know each other as adults. 💞💗💞

It's an emotional romance with a bit of intrigue to keep you glued to your Kindle. The characters are so very well developed as is the world they live in. ❤️️

I received a free copy of this book via the author and am voluntarily leaving a review.

The reason I enjoyed this book so much is because there are two parts. The first part is the brother's best friend romance, and the second is the suspenseful portion. The author did a fabulous job of lulling me into the romantic portion, and then boom! Things start heating up in a dangerous way. I loved feisty Emma, who had to process her self-centred childhood memories into something more adult. Brice saves Emma in more way than one. He has changed, grown, owed his mistakes and has tried to make reparation. She may have a pet name for him, but he's long outgrown that. The ending was beautiful; I’d love to something about Ava, who is an outstanding secondary character and imho, deserves a few more words. Excellent reading.

Brice and Emma reconnect, sadly, over a death in her family. She thinks he's still an immature a$$hole, and he thinks she's a beautiful narrow minded brat...so great start! They both have grown and changed as adults but grief clouds everyones thinking. As things heat up in their work life so does the magnetic attraction. When danger starts lurking, it cuts through the b.s. and amps up the chemistry. Great characters with flaws, foibles and a smokin connection...plus a fun dramatic storyline with twists and turns that will keep you riveted to the end.

Voluntarily read & reviewed an ARC of this book.

My goodness; my emotions ran the gamut with this tale. Excellent story line and well told. This reader was mesmerized by this story and just could not put the novel down until completed. Great characterizations, from the main male and female characters to all cast members. There are some great dialogues between the characters as well. This was a romance and a quite delightful one. I might add, but also an intense drama and a mystery to unravel. Excellent reading! I really enjoyed this novel and highly recommend it to all.

Outstanding & awesome story. This author has done a fabulous job in depicting the characters in this book. Brice came from wealth but he spent most of his time at Emma's parents house. Emma tagged along with her brother and Brice. There is over a decade in age between the characters and as Emma realizes her perception of Brice was that of a child. I consider this book to be a stand-alone romantic suspense with a HEA. This book keeps you on edge to get to the end. Well worth reading. I received a complementary copy of this book and chose to write a review. I look forward to reading future books by this author.

## JUST OK. I don't get these overwhelmingly great reviews. First of all, the set up of the story was too long. The hero and heroine didn't even come across each other until 23% into the story. By then I was already annoyed. Then, Emily was such a witch to the hero, I don't get why he wanted to pursue her. And their chemistry was seriously lacking. In addition to that, Emily seemed really unprofessional. She sleeps on the job, she's consistently using words like "yeah" and "um" and "huh" when speaking to her bosses. She is supposed to be a great writer. Words are her thing... So the many "uums" bothered me. Anyway, this wasn't bad, just not good.

5 Star For Sure!

Let me start by saying I'm sorry you can't give more than 5 stars! This book is by far my favorite of Mr. Banks. Once I started the book I could not put it down. And so I found myself laying in bed at 3:00 am with my heart racing. I had to put my kindle down, get out of bed, get a glass of water and take deep breaths. Yes, I found it a bit suspenseful. I had to tell myself, "Calm down, Amy. It's only a book not real life!" I haven't had a book do that to me in quite some time. So, yeah...definitely 5 stars in my book!

This is a solidly written book. As Brice muses, “I wasn't expecting it. I wasn't looking for it. In fact, I was actively trying to avoid it. But, you can't escape fate. When it's right, it's right. And this is serendipity.” Emma and Brice are a solid and mature couple. The story is a romantic/suspense/drama. It is steamy and invigorating. At every turn of the page you want to keep going. I would love to see Ava’s story written because I think because she, along with the others, were solidly built characters.

Brice and Emma have a past, one where Emma is convinced Brice has wronged her. A chance meeting has brought back the old anger, but also the attraction. Brice has done well for himself and is determined to help Emma with her job, and is determined to pursue his off the charts attraction to he best friends little sister! Emma is determined to prove herself on her own, but she soon can't deny the attraction between them and when her life is put in danger Brice will do what ever it takes to protect her. This is a great story line with characters that keep you flipping pages!!!

I enjoyed this story for many reasons, the developed characters, the chemistry, the writing, the glimpse into investigative journalism and the wonderfully mature male lead who had flaws and a past. I liked that Bryce had embraced his flaws and tried to make something of himself and in his own way, make amends for his past. I liked Emma and Bryce as characters, I also liked Pete and Ava too. Personally I would have liked to have seen more of Tyler and Bryce together in the story. This book held my interest throughout and I am leaving this honest review after receiving an ARC.
