I very much enjoyed these stories. In each one, characters went through all kinds of struggles, but the Lord helped them through all of them. I was happy to see a story about a married couple. I think it is important to learn how people get past the parts of a relationship that are difficult. A lack of the right communication can be detrimental. But God can give us the wisdom we need to help us through those times. Very well done, as always!
Legacy Lane by Robin Lee Hatcher is a delightful Christian contemporary tale about family, love and priorities. The reader witnesses’ characters living out their faith. “Jesus wasn’t merely an example for her to live by… Jesus was real.” Knowing Jesus is about having a relationship with Him. It is knowing that He walks beside us every step of the way. Bad things may still happen but Jesus walks beside us through it all. Prayer is talking to Jesus. “Help Angie catch a glimpse of you.” Prayer is natural as breathing. When we know Jesus, we want our loved ones to know Him too. Prayer is powerful. “Our church’s prayer chain has been storming the gates of heaven.” Where two or three are gathered, Jesus is there too. We need to have correct priorities. Wealth, positions and possessions do not make us rich. Relationships with Jesus make us rich beyond measure. The beauty of a small town is that everyone knows your name. In the middle of a big city, surrounded by many people can be a lonely place. People are often rushing by. In a small town, we can make time to smell the flowers. Legacy Lane is a wonderful start to the Hart’s Crossing series. It can also be found in the collection Here In Hart’s Crossing. Veterans Way by Robin Lee Hatcher is a delightful contemporary Christian tale with the dual themes of first love and second chances. It is the second book in the Harts Crossing series but can be read as a stand-alone. The leading characters are around seventy years old but young at heart. The reader sees that there are no retirement plans in God’s kingdom. “Even at the ripe old age of seventy… God still had a purpose for his life.” If you are still breathing, God has a plan for you. God speaks to our hearts if we would just be still and listen. “God spoke directly to her spirit.” We need to have lives in tune with His. Prayer is powerful. “They were women who believed in the power of prayer.” When we have decisions to make, we need to consult with God in prayer. Prayer chains are vital in supporting those in need. The tale explores the theme of love as laid out in 1 Corinthians 13. We need to live out lives of love. Veterans Way was a delightful read. You can find it in the collection entitled Here In Harts Crossing as well as a book in its own right. Diamond Place by Robin Lee Hatcher is a sweet tale about little league baseball and second chances. It is book three in the Harts Crossing series but can be read as a stand-alone. We witness characters living out their faith. “He suspected her faith ran deep.” When we base our lives on God, there is no need for words. His love will shine through us. There is the tenacity and determination of a ten year old girl to become a pitcher. Her goal is clear and she is focused. Life is sometimes hard. When there are things we cannot do in our strength, we must lean on God. We are told to “worry about nothing. Pray about everything.” This is wise advice to live by. If we build our lives on God and press into Him, we cannot fail. Using the literary device of pathetic fallacy, a storm mirrors the turmoil a character feels. This was another charming tale from Robin Lee Hatcher. It can be found in the collection Here In Harts Crossing or buy it individually. Sweet Dreams Drive by Robin Lee Hatcher is a powerful tale about becoming parents to twins. It is book four in the Harts Crossing series but can be read as a stand-alone. The reader witnesses the strain of tiredness and finances on a marriage. Being a new mum should be a time of happiness but tiredness can overwhelm. We see the importance of being honest with each other. We also see the importance of making time for each other as a couple. We need to see our partners as God sees them. Life is not about having the biggest house or the most money. Life is about focusing on God and others. We need to be content with what we have and not play the comparison game or try to buy the next best thing. If we chase things, we will never be satisfied. Our happiness will Always be in a ‘who’ and never a ‘what’. It is important to make time for God. We do not want our relationship with Him to diminish. We need to put good daily habits into our lives of prayer and bible reading. We need to start the day with God. This was another delightful offering from Robin Lee Hatcher. You can buy it alone or as part of the Here In Harts Crossing collection.
There are four novellas which tell stories of life in a small Idaho town. Hart’s Crossing is small enough to allow news to travel by word of mouth. But it is also large enough to provide livings for people. It allows families to live and grow in Hart’s Crossing.
In each of the stories the reader is introduced to people who face real life issues. Those people rely on their faith to help them solve their problems. Faith also allows each of them to share their love. There is romantic love and there is also family love. But, most of all we see the love that people have for friends and neighbors. Whether life brings joy or sorrow, love is brought to hearts and lives.
This is a charming book filled with four very uplifting stories.
So good. I love your books. I’ve read more of them and never found one that didn’t keep me reading. The way you include God and are so wonderful about teaching us about Hin and how He can work in our lives. I’m 82 and know Him but I still like to read your stories!
Good stories, just started slow working through the story, some repetition into finally getting to the resolution. The book then ended a bit sudden then when it seemed it could go on a bit more with the characters. Maybe just condensed for the grouping. I will definitely recommend it though!!
Easy, enjoyable and light reading. These definitely fall in Christian romance fiction category but occasionally I enjoy that genre. This is four novellas, all taking place in Hart's Crossing and many of the characters overlap in each story which makes it fun. I appreciate the emphasis on faith and yet it was done with a heavy hand. I've read other books by Robin Lee Hatcher and enjoy her writing.
This set of books were a great read. They had a great Christian perspective and allowed the reader to know the characters were good Christian people with a heart for those they loved. I didn’t want to put the books down once I started reading them. Love this author.
These stories are very well thought out and flow together well. I very much enjoy the characters and the way Robin Lee Harper weaves storylines that touch my heart. Living in a small town, I could relate to all the characters and will look for more of her creations!
One place to read four books previously written and put together. The town Hart Crossing with different stories of second chances/ new beginnings with characters with baggage. Christmas reading with school out for the summer.
Four novellas all set in the same small town, this was a very pleasant reading experience. The only story I felt was weaker than the others was the last one, which is the reason for the four instead of five stars.
Each of fout stories, all different but all can be read knowing peace and faith. My most favorite was the third as it had characters that I best related to but all were worthy.
Love this author. She writes about real life situations. Getting back to basics with love, kindness, & always keeping God first. We really need more writers like this in in these hard, cruel, & violent times. I am very grateful for her lovely books.
Ok, having said that, it probably wasn't the right book for me when going through a very tough time. The stories are good and always end on a good note. Probably a great lot of stories at a different time.
All four stories are genuine and inspiring. Each has a message interwoven throughout with God's love. Each one could have been expanded into a full-length novel. I wasn't ready for them to end.
Four sweet love stories about different people in a small town, but all of them connected to one another in some fashion. Each couple had challenges to work through, depending upon their faith, family, and friends.
I enjoyed reading the four novellas in this book, as there was no foul language, sex, drugs, or anything worldly to turn me off, and they had God entwined throughout the pages.
If you want a romance featuring real people in real life situations you’ll enjoy this book. It was a nice change of pace from my usual genre. I was born and genres up in a town like Harts Crossing. It was easy to relate.
I thoroughly enjoyed the stories in this series. I liked how the characters blended into each of the following stories, and I love a good romance. I highly recommend this 40-novella collection to all who love romance.
A nice group of interacting stories. Each on is focused around relationships and staying close to God. Good church and good family relations also played a part. Good job
These were wonderful stories about people finding love in a small town and making it their home. You felt like you were right there with them. A wonderful Christian story. Was hard to put down.
Wasn't expected this collection to be as good as it was!
Was pleasantly surprised at this collection of feel good small town stories about the people of Hart's Crossing. ..such a warm wonderful feeling when you read these...hope there are more to come!
Wonderful characters and stories. Finding love, working through problems with the help of family, friends, and God. I really enjoyed reading this series.
Four heartwarming stories of love, challenges, forgiveness. Heart's Crossing is full warm characters, young and old. A wonderful set of Christian novellas!
4 novella that show about coming home, and finding unconditional love and acceptance. The struggles are helped with friends and God, and peace in this small town. Well done.
