This was a good short story. Mallory decides to pretend date Liam. He needs to get people off his back. Of course they end up falling in love real. Thankfully in the end they get their happy ending.
Wow, this book was so cute and really made me smile! Only You by Heatherly Bell is a novella in the Starlight Hill series. It is book 8 but it can be read as a standalone. You do have visits from past characters in the book but all that made me want is to go back and find their stories. When it came to Liam and Mallory's story, I didn't feel lost in the least, and in fact felt welcomed by the great couples from Starlight Hill.
Only You is about Liam, an Army Ranger just returned who has to decide if he will re-up, or if he will return to his home state of Colorado. He goes to visit his relatives, the Turlocks, in Starlight Hill, for some much needed R and R and to make some decisions about his future. Once there, it soon becomes clear to him that he won't be getting to relax at all - because all of the women in his family are determined to match him with the love of his life - and they all have their own ideas as to who that is. Liam is definitely not there for that. When he meets Mallory, a clerk at a lingerie store that he ducks into to hide one day, the two of them make a pact to pretend to be together. Mallory has motives of her own. She is determined to make Starlight Hill her home, and in order to do that, she wants to have a good reputation. Being with Liam Turlock will accomplish that and stop everyone from seeing her as only "the sexy" at the store where she works.
It's a great plan - as these things always are. And it starts to work perfectly. Except that soon, both Liam and Mallory find themselves wishing that this love affair were the real deal.
I loved this short and sweet novella. My only complaint is that I wanted more. I wished that the romance could have been fleshed out a bit more, that we could have delved a bit deeper into both Liam's and Mallory's pasts. And it would have been lovely to see them having to "fake" their attraction for each other in a few more amusing situations. But I really did love the story and the characters, and there are a few genuinely funny, laugh-out-loud moments in this book. Now I'm going to go find all of Ms. Bell's other books because I need more and I intend to get it!

It is quiet in Tatas and More, the lingerie shop for full-figured women, and Mallory Gilham is folding boy shorts reflecting on how she arrived in Starlight Hill when she hears the bell announcing a customer. Only this is definitely not their normal clientele.
When she starts to welcome him to the store he first shushes her before crouching down behind the banana hammock's display. It is a rare occurrence to see a man in their store...especially one using their store as a hideout. And definitely gorgeous men who are built like a football running back.
Liam Tyrlock is visiting family in California for two weeks while deciding whether to re-enlist in the Army Rangers, but all the females in his family keep trying to shove phone numbers at him despite his telling them he is returning to Colorado and not interested in dating.
But he realizes the answer is right before him. He needs a date for the wine festival and all he needs is a fake girlfriend and who better than the beautiful woman in front of him.
I loved this book! It is very well written and the characters are fully developed and relatable. Although this is a standalone novel you will find that the secondary characters are recurring and have had their stories told in previous books.
Mallory is trying to rebuild her reputation in the small town that she landed in six months ago after leaving her life behind in Texas after her boyfriend hit her. Her bad choice of modeling lingerie after hours caused a scandal she was trying hard to overcome. The last thing she needs is to get involved with a man. Especially one who is leaving town.
Liam is having a hard time deciding whether to re-enlist or partner with his friend in a ski resort. Although he comes from a huge supportive family his guilt of leaving his brothers in arms is weighing on him heavily.
I loved this book! It is very well written and the characters are fully developed and relatable. There are tons of secondary characters in this story and all of them are determined to interfere in Liam's life. If you want a small-town rom-com with some heat this is a book for you. Highly recommend!
Liam is fresh out of the service and is on a two-week holiday in Starlight Hill. He is also trying to avoid all his relatives because they keep trying to set him up with a date. Little does he know just how his life will be affected when he ducks into the adult shop to avoid his cousin. Mallory is intrigued by the hot guy who is hiding behind one the lingerie racks in the store where she works. Only Mallory has sworn off men after an unfortunate event that happened a few months ago. She teases Liam into buying something and then tries to forget about him. Liam is drawn to Mallory, but he isn't wanting anything permanent, however he is wanting to enjoy his vacation. Liam decides to see if Mallory will be his 'fake' girlfriend and help derail his relatives. Little do Mallory and Liam realize what they are in for when they start 'fake' dating. See if Liam can figure out his future and see if Mallory can repair her reputation along with the help of a tiny dog, a bunch of friends and a crazy group of relatives. I thoroughly enjoyed this story and can't wait to read more by Ms. Bell.

We're back in the wonderful town of Starlight Hill for Mallory and Liam's story which is like a movie on the Hallmark Channel you'd love to watch. Mallory has really been through alot in her young life you really feel for her. I mean the whole town calls her baby are they willing to give her another chance? Liam ducks into the shop where Mallory's working looking to hide from his cousin. He's visiting from Colorado and he's trying to get all the matchmakers who want to match up the Army Ranger off of his back. He comes up with a plan to pretend to date Mallory that will help both of them out. It's just that pretend has a funny way of turning real will that be what happens to them? You really need to read this charming story to see what happens. I would recommend reading this book

Mallory is a "spitfire" and I just love her honesty. She certainly keeps Liam, the golden boy on his toes. They are so good together. Mallory is just getting her footing and Liam is trying to figure out which direction his life should go next. Their instant attraction is plain to see as well as their hearts becoming involved in a pretend and temporary relationship. To trust and love so quickly is scary but, so is being alone without the one you need. I love their story and the town of Starlight Hill. I highly recommend this book and the entire series.

Love this book! Totally enjoyed reading all the conflicts and situations that Mallory and Liam have in Starlight Hill. Liam and Mallory pretend to be together just to help each out for Mallory to restore her reputation and to keep Liam from being fixed up by his relatives. This book has engaging characters with wonderful dialogue. It was also great to catch up with the other characters in the Starlight Hill series. This book is witty, entertaining and sincere. I truly enjoyed reading Only You and highly recommend reading the book.

Only You is the eighth book in the Starlight Hill series and the first book I have read by Heatherly Bell. I picked this book up because the book description made me laugh and I was hoping this short story would do the same.....which it did. The story-line is a fake relationship to maybe real about Mallory and Liam. They each have a reason to make the deal and they each don't expect to fall for each other and then end up in something that feels way more real than anything ever has before in their lives.
I received a copy of this book and am leaving my honest review. My opinions are all my own.
A fun, sweet novella of two people helping each other in need. Enjoyed this storyline with this nosey town, who always knows what’s going on and who is dating who. This is Liam’s and Mallory’s turn of a chance at love. The setting is wonderful and the characters bring out the best in each other, as they both help one another, but they also grow, as each learns just what the other really means to them. Loved the ending as this temporary couple find their permanent ending together.

Mallory/Baby has a bad reputation in town just because she gave a guy she was dating a free lingerie show at the shop where she works so now she just wants to stay out of trouble until everyone can forget her bad behavior. When Army Ranger Liam ducks in the lingerie shop to hide from his family trying to set him up with a date he does not want he meets Mallory/Baby. They both need something from each other so they decide to fake date so she gets him to stop the town from calling her Baby and he gets his family off his back. What starts out as fake quickly turns into so much more.
Every one in Starlight Hill called her Baby. With that and the slip up with the lingerie, she was not a home wrecker, would they give her another chance. A military looking guy ducks into the shop,, hoping to hide for a few minutes, she wanted answers. He is Liam Turlock, and didn’t want any ones phone number, or anyone fixing him up. Could Mallory and Liam have a fake interest in one another. So he could have his vacation time and relax Cut romantic story.
It may not be long, but this book is absolutely packed to bursting with all the sweet emotions of a Hallmark movie. Mallory nearly broke my heart with everything she'd been through in her short life. And her crisis of self confidence was a point where I could easily connect with her. Liam comes across as just a great big teddy bear; everything that makes the best book boyfriend material, really. I loved these two together, and their holiday epilogue was the best way to closeout this book.
Only You ~ Starlight Hill #8 by Heatherly Bell. I love this series, haven't yet read them all but they are fabulous. Heatherly continues to write extremely good books. They draw you in from the very beginning until the end. The characters are so believable that you feel you know them and you too are there. Great series and I'm looking forward to reading the whole set. Thank you, Heatherly, for another great story.
A sweet, fun quick read with a couple that are both in need of a turnaround second chance. Mallory for long held personal reasons and some more recent bad decisions. Liam needs to decide where his life is going next and the “help” from his family is getting tiresome. Some fun moments, some sweetness and a little sexy all with the help of a very loyal dog.

Another fun segment in Starlight Hill. Mallory “Baby” works at Tatas and More and also teaches dancing. Liam Turlock come into Tatas to hide trying to avoid his cousin. He is an Army Ranger visiting from Colorado. To get all the matchmakers off his back, he pretends to date Mallory. How will that turn out? *Adult situations

3.5 stars. A cute and sometimes funny book. I liked the main characters. I would have liked to have a bit more character development for Mallory - some of her actions/choices/inner thoughts didn't jive or seem consistent to her experience. I also thought there was some timeline inconsistencies. Overall, a good book. *I received an ARC of this book from Booksprout and this is my voluntary and honest review.
This was a lovely story. Both Mallory and Liam were gorgeous characters with great chemistry. I loved the banter and the care they displayed for each other, and of course the HEA.

Mallory(Baby) is a beautiful woman working in a lingerie boutique. Liam is between going back in the army or staying out and working with his friend. I love how she wants to change how she is but he likes her the way she is. Wonderful story.

Loved how Mallory and Liam met. You never know how you're going to meet your true love. Many times it's in the simpleest ways. Thank you Heatherly Bell for a this sweet romance.

This another good story in the "Starlight Hill" series. It is a short, quick and stand alone read about second chances. This one is about Liam and Mallory who who have a fun first meeting. This story is fun and sweet with some drama, and new beginnings.
This was a great book to curl up with, this is the first one I have read but I will be checking out the rest of this author's books. I was sucked right into this book and could not wait to see what happened next, I would definitely recommend it I did not want to stop reading.
This was such a cute story! I thoroughly enjoyed following the growth of both Mallory & Liam. Mallory ‘ran’ away from home, and Liam is stuck on what his future will look like. Quick read, but well worth it. I love these quick romance stories that make my heart throb.
