After surviving a brutal attack that killed her father in the secluded Wolfmere Mountains, Sunny Armstrong finds herself stronger, faster, and hungrier than before. Determined to get her pound of flesh, she swears vengeance on her father’s killers.
Sunny is thrust into the middle of a deadly war between the Disciples of Wolfmere’s resident biker gang, and the shapeshifting Nokado tribe.
With the help of her new shapeshifting friend Igasho, Sunny sharpens her new skills only to come up short and unable to fully shift.
In the search for revenge and understanding of her new wolfish side, only one thing is certain: blood will spill, and heads will roll.
For fans of werewolves, all things paranormal, and star-crossed lovers, Crave is part one of Tiki Kos’ Ladies of Death quartet.
Author Tiki Kos was born and raised in the Alberta, Canada where she found her love of all things spooky, writing and tv bingeing.
She has an obsession with coffee, sour candies, Doctor Who and all things related to the Paranormal. When she isn't writing about fighting creatures or sassy women, she can be found playing with her two children and eating sushi.
Before I start I just want to say that it usually takes me a week or two to read one book, this book took me 2 days. It was so flawless and amazing. All the scenes made me clapping and on the edge of my seat. The story picks right up at the start of the story and just flows after that breathtakingly. Sunny Armstrong was a neat character, I loved her attitude. Her past/parents relationships made me sad.
The ending made me need more. I needed more about Sunny's Mom. I need to know more about Mary. Sunny went through so much in such a short time. Everything in the book was interesting. This was my first ever book about Shifters, and I am now a big fan. I loved reading about Sunny's training. I was so rooting for her at the end, I knew she'd be able to shift. Sunny's hair color was neat, I loved the colors. Sho was a nice character, I was very happy that they got together.
Mrs. Kos blew me away, it is one of my favorite books now, and I will be reading the rest of the series. I can't wait to read more about Sunny.
For fans of Shifter's and Action-packed Fantasy this book is a must read!
This was the most graphic shifter book I’ve ever read. There was so many surprises along the way and a massive twist I was not expecting. Well written with a huge dose of realism.
I really enjoyed this book, managed to read it in just a day. Sunny is a young girl just trying to get through the last few months at school before she can leave when suddenly her father tells her they are leaving town, but they are attacked by wolves. Sunny is bitten and her father is killed. She does to live with her mother who is part of The Disciples, people that Sunny wants nothing to do with. Strange things start to happen such as eating raw meat and having strange things. Sunny finds out who is she and what she needs to do to stay alive. I will definitely be reading the rest of the series
What a great shifter book. I loved it. I think the twists and turns of this book made me want to keep reading too know what is going to happen next. I am so glad that I got too read this. Keep up the great work.
Kos has crafted a fascinating, darkly romantic tale double-dipped in spooky. Crave (Ladies of Death) has elements that are straight out of the horror genre, injecting a dark tone into this coming-of-age romance, with *just enough* gore to please fans of dark speculative fiction and horror.
If you took everything I love about sweet romance and spooky horror and smashed them together, you’d have Crave. Dare I say Kos has created a new book genre? It’s paranormal romance, sure, but PNR doesn’t make my heart pound like dark speculative fiction and horror do. Talk about a howling good time…
Crave features supernatural creatures, like shapeshifting werewolves, which were extremely entertaining to read about. Their “change” was well-detailed and original, (adrenaline rushes/sprouting fur and claws, etc.), sometimes even humorous, (the chasing of the tail scene cracked me up), and I enjoyed this author’s take on the werewolf trope.
The protagonist, Sunny Armstrong, is witty, strong-willed, and a fighter. Like Kos’ other novels featuring strong, kick-butt females, Sunny doesn’t disappoint. There are many secrets to be revealed, some that utterly shocked me, and I enjoyed the journey as Sunny unravels the truth. Sho is a charming, albeit a mysterious hero, among a cast of diverse characters who will keep you guessing until the very end.
OMG!!!!!! This is such an amazing story writen by a newly founded amazing author that is now one of my favorite authors. I am so glad I read this story I was so impressed with the strong characters and well writen story line. I am so in love with this story want to read more. I can not wait to read what comes next with this author. I highly recommend this story to everyone who loves the paranormal and if you buy you definately will not be disappointed at all. This is my honest and unbias opinion of the story.
This was one very intense tale! From start to finish intrigue and betrayal run rampant. Not everything nor anyone is truly whom you believe them to be. Sunny tends to be one sad teen who struggles with fitting it. Her dad is her whole world. If you love wolf shifter stories and gore doesn't bother you, make sure you pick this up!! There are a few editing issues but they in no way take away anything from the story. Ms. Kos is one imaginative writer who can keep you upon your toes guessing what's next to happen until the very end.
For paranormal readers who enjoy shorter reads. I loved the darkest scenes, loved the underlying mystery throughout the entire plot, and enjoyed how the author tied it all up. I’m also eagerly awaiting the second book in this series. It’s a great idea the author is running with, and I can’t wait to see how it turns out.
Rated four stars because I’d have liked some scenes to have been further explored, but all in all, a very well enjoyed read. I’d recommend to paranormal, shifter readers of all ages.
I love the mythology the author explores, and the twists and turns made it impossible to put down. Tiki Los really knows how to keep readers on the edge of their seats! I love the raw, mystical urban fantasy world she has created here, and am looking forward to see what happens next. If you love werewolves and shifters, with a touch of magic, this is the book for you. I can't wait for the next book in this series!
Sunny is reeling from her father's death only to discover the world around her is full of supernatural creatures.
The story is action packed and delivers a monster of a twist at the end. The next book in the series promises to explore even more things that defy explanation.
I liked Crave; especially how strong Sunny is, and despite the hardships, she learns to trust in her own abilities. Tiki Kos is a good writer and you'll enjoy this book.
A quick read with everything that made a PNR read a good book. A strong heroine that was witty, secrets (BIG ones!), and growing relationship. Add to it lots twist and turns all over the place, but they made the read even more entertaining - you were never lost in everything that was going on for more than a few moments! I'm on my toes waiting for book 2!
What a story!! Tiki Kos does a great job pulling you into this fantasy world! She really makes you feel for Sunny, having to witness her dads horrible death and having an absent mother, when she just wants to live her life her way and be loved. If your looking for a great story or a quick thrill I recommend this book.
This was a awesome quick enjoyable read. It was very hard to put down. I enjoyed the story about the tribes and what happened to her dad. I would recommend this book to those who love supernatural wolves
Quick, fun read. It is full of magical beings. The main character is wonderfully strong and refuses to let anything stop her for long once she has decided what she is going to do.
