Francine Paula Pascal was an American author best known for her Sweet Valley series of young adult novels. Sweet Valley High, the backbone of the collection, was made into a television series, which led to several spin-offs, including The Unicorn Club and Sweet Valley University. Although most of these books were published in the 1980s and 1990s, they remained so popular that several titles were re-released decades later.
I kind of feel for Jessica for having a sister like Elizabeth in this book. But she too had a hand in making things complicated by keeping the "truth" to herself. (I once thought she was selfless... but life is a little easier if we're all a little more straight-forward?)
Anyway, the story is about Jessica trying to break up the relationship between Elizabeth and Sam. In different ways, both E and S is a little whiny and long-winded. Sigh...
What I really don't like about this book is... that the story was a little "abrupt" near the ending. Besides, the rational "perfect-character" Tyler was suddenly not into hearing what Jessica's story is (I get it, he was tired of all Jessica's... "I've got to save my innocent sister from that monster of a man thing", but... I mean... it's Tyler... he's the character who got mostly everything right about Sam, why couldn't he get it right with the girl he's dating? At the very least, shouldn't he be stick around to figure Jessica out?)

It was pretty awful but easy to read. The twins are gorgeous, the guys they date are gorgeous and their parents have given them the freedom of 25 year old adults since the age of 16. Though, I think they are finally starting to age- they are 19ish in this one I think. I was a huge fan of SV and wanted to read some of the final books so I could close the series (sort of as they keep releasing more).
