Jessica Wakefield thought living with Mike AcAllery would make things perfect between them - but now he doesn't even come home at night. What will she do to make sure he's really hers?
Elizabeth Wakefield is torn between the mysterious Tom Watts and the romantic William White. She's not sure how Tom feels about her, but William is a sure thing....
Tom Watts loves Elizabeth with a force that scares him. By the time he finds the courage to tell her, she's already involved with another man.
Elizabeth's friend Nina Harper is the victim of an ugly racial attack. Who is the evil mind being the secret society wreaking havoc on campus?
Francine Paula Pascal was an American author best known for her Sweet Valley series of young adult novels. Sweet Valley High, the backbone of the collection, was made into a television series, which led to several spin-offs, including The Unicorn Club and Sweet Valley University. Although most of these books were published in the 1980s and 1990s, they remained so popular that several titles were re-released decades later.
Is Mike McAllery a gun toting, wife beating, secret society psychopath or is he simply misunderstood? Is Tom Watts going to drop the ice cold Lone Ranger act? Can Todd “dull as dishwater” Wilkins get any duller? I’m going straight to book five to find out!
The many overlapping storylines were a bit overwhelming at times, I’ll admit. But it was still a fun time. I’m not as into SVU as SVH, From what I’ve read so far it’s just not as interesting. But it’s still Sweet Valley so I like it. Also, Don’t care for Tom, Todd Wilkins FTW.
SWEET VALLEY UNIVERSITY Written by Francine Pascal General Review for series as I cannot remember each novel.
I read Sweet Valley University when I was in junior high school to high school. While there is sexual content it is very mild (not explicit) compared to teen books today. If you like the Sweet Valley High you will love this series as it continues with the twins' story as they attend University and are away from their parents. I am not sure how they would relate to teens today as this was before cell phones were common and social media. They are fun teen romances with "real-life" situation. I did not complete the series as I started to save for school so I wasn't able to collect them any further (they are out of print). I still have the books I bought and may try to read one again (I did reread the series a few times).
Remember in my review of Book Three, I said to not read the synopsis blurb? I was serious about that, especially in this and the next book.
In this fourth installment in one of the best series of all time, violence and mystery enter into their already dramatic college world. Jessica still struggles with the man in her life, and Laurie John writes a realistic and intriguing love triangle for Elizabeth. If you've ever been in love, then you know sometimes you really will do anything for love.
Check out this book, but start with the first of the series--Thriftbooks has a great collection of used books. You can also head over to Amazon or any other used book outlet.
