"It came out of nowhere. A sweep of emotions. Love, pain, trust, doubt. It was all in a pattern, hard to describe, but somehow like when you finally understand someone who you’ve been trying to figure out for a long, long time. Everything clicked into place. There was beauty, purity, bravery, the ability to suffer, sacrifice. It was all there, enveloping me with perfection."
When head-driven Med student Adam has an emotional vision of Claire, he doesn’t yet understand the dimensions by which his life is about to change. This is my absolute favourite book so far in both series. I have read all of the wings trilogy from Claire's perspective and reading it from Adams in spark has just thrown everything I thought I knew, out the window. It showed me all the characters in a new light. And gave me feelings for those I never had feelings for in the books. I love this book and was captivated from the start, so much so I had to read twice to ensure I didn't miss anything the first time. I was enraptured right away and cannot wait for more! Definitely recommend.
I loved the Wings trilogy and read them three times. I was so excited to see this version in Adam's POV. I read it through once and now am going to read it through beside White. I love the story and the characters and can not wait for book 2.
I thought the trilogy originally was great but have Adam’s perspective is awesome. I always thought him a little cold now I see him in an entire new light. Thank you for giving me both sides of the story it is amazing!!!
Might be spoilers involved..... #1 The ending of book #1 i was ugly crying. WHY?? WHY did you end it like that? Both 1 and 4...so mad. #2 The author is great with young female/male perspectives. i read book 1 then 4 so i wouldnt forget the sequence and i can remember claires view, which by the way....humans are stupid...and now i guess i have to include baby/newly winged angels in with the mix. Human emotions get so jumbled and because we dont say what we feel and what is going on with pure honesty, both parties are just grrrrrr....but the story is good and frustrating all at the same time, because of so much missed communication there are now sooooo many questions. Although i already had Maureen figured out in the first book, but i love in the 4th book, it made even more sense. And i think I've got Ben and Jaden figured out, too, but we'll see. Im not a fan of claire, she annoys me, it could be i forget how stupid i was at 19, but I love adam and his family, they are what keep me reading. Even though hes dumb too, but its no secret boys are dumb and come pre installed with super hero complex, so it doesnt come as shocker when you find out neither his dad talked to him, nor he talked to his dad about what was going on, even though they're a close family. Now i just need more information about Ben, Chris-Dad, Ben's mom (sorry, my brain is on hiatus at the moment), Jaden, Sophie, and Noel (not sure why, but i really like this character). Im going to read #2 and hope this doesn't fall short of me wanting to stop reading the series... I hate not finishing series. The description did mention people who enjoyed The Twilight Saga liked this series... while i loved Twilight, I did dislike Bella at times, too.
I don't like giving bad reviews so I like to think of it as feedback.but really I'm so disappointed first of all I have just read back to back the first 3 books so the story is still fresh for me sadly it was to much twilight for me (loved twilight the books) so I already felt like I have read this series before I started it was set up the same just with wings. This book is a repeat of book one but from Adam that's ok it there was allot more information in it (kind of like behind the seen) there was a little bit bit much also the Maureen thing really he is worried about Claire who got taken by demons finds out Maureen is one and don't tell her? Plus he only knows about angels from the same book why not tell her? I thought he was honesty.
This is the guy's perspective from White. I liked it better than her perspective. I debated whether I should read the complete trilogy in her perspective before starting it in his, but I started reading his and liked it so much better I didn't stop. Definitely fills in the gaps, and have some ideas of where the storyline is headed. He's 21 to her 18 or 19 which is a little better than I had thought initially, but still a little weird balancing the college vs high school student thing.
Spoiler if you haven't read White...
Why is his dad so oblivious?!? If Adam is so attuned to people's emotions, what happened to him?

Loved reading this book! This book deserves 5 stars! I absolutely loved reading this book in Adam's point of view. It's good to get both sides of the story and really get into his mind about his own thoughts and feelings. As always I thoroughly enjoyed Angelina's writing style and she truly is talented and it shows in every book I have read. I am really excited to see the rest of the series through his eyes as well, and I can't wait to see what else Angelina has in store for her readers! If you enjoyed books 1-3 you will definitely enjoy this book as well!
I like that this is a good read about two young people who wont / don't give up on each other , even when finding out that one of them has a pretty peculiar "transformation" that he is undergoing. She obviously is scared, but because of their love for one another, they put their trust in each others faith and with some help from Adams angel family and Claire's Guardian Angel Jaden, they can turn things around for the good for ALL involved....with a few surprises of new family members to be welcomed.
Book 4 in Wings series (1st of Adam's POV trilogy) - Audiobook Review
Great narration for the characters.
The first three books in the Wings series are from Claire's POV. This begins Adam's POV trilogy. Adam's POV book adds so much depth to his character and the internal struggles he faced. I had a behind-the-scenes look into his awareness and perception of emotions and how he learned to cope with all the turmoil.
He always felt like he was searching for a lost puzzle piece. This book is about the desire to find a balance of forces, good vs evil. I loved having all the background for angels. This book contains a lot of foreshadowing also, which was fun to catch.
Seriously one of the best angel books I’ve read. Story line is kinda slow but captures you. I couldn’t put the books down. I read all 6 books in less then 2 weeks. I extremely enjoyed Adams POV the best. I still have so many questions. What was Ben thinking ?? I need more of this story! Love it!
DNF. I read the other part of the series and thought seeing it from a different perspective might be fun. It was not. The original POV was not super interesting and this one was like reading the same book over again with just a few different words..
So what was the point of this??? Not sure about anyone else but I don't like reading the same story again. The point of view change doesn't matter to me. I skimmed a little then I said NOPE. The original story was pretty damn boring already, no point in re reading it.
This is the story but seen from Adam's point of view, his spark that lead to his wings showing. His struggle with his new identity, while this thing/relationship that is happening.
