Great resource but there is so many features not covered. If it did the book would be over 1000 pages

The "Adobe After Effects CC Classroom in a Book for 2019" is a pretty straightforward, step-by-step book for learning After Effects. Adobe Press offers an online version of the book with purchase. The online version provides quizzes and review questions that help reinforce what you have learned within the current chapter.

The book provides an excellent starting point to learn what After Effects has to offer. There were a few minor changes from the 2019 version of After Effects, but none of the changes prevented me from completing the lessons in 2021.
