I just read this with my five year old son for his bedtime story. We have already seen the movie but after reading this he is asking to watch all the movies again.

My first grader loves the book
It follows the movie pretty closely and it’s engaging for little minds. My son loves the book. Would recommend it for reading to a child or for a younger elementary school kid to read solo.

March 3, 2019I feel the storyline and characters were a bit weaker and simplified this time around, but the franchise has retained enough goodwill and created some spectacular visuals to merit our affections with this parting epilogue.
In the end I think they didn't want to go heavy-handed on any complicated, angry, political-moral message and made a conscious decision to just leave a great nostalgic experience for kids. I will always treasure these movies + tv series and experience their adventures with them vicariously over and over again... Thanks, awesome content creators!

Great book for every HTTYD fan and great for kids as well.
