From Wall Street Journal and USA Today bestselling author Lauren Landish comes The Virgin Diaries, a series of take-charge alpha heroes and the sassy, innocent women who bring them to their knees.
I have a confession to make. I hate my math professor, Connor Daniels.
From the moment he walked into class, he's been a thorn in my side, nitpicking every little thing that I do. It burns me how he expects me to be just as perfect as he is. I get that professors are supposed to challenge their students, but he's such a . . .
He's a dick.
Cocky. Big-headed. Egotistical.
So why can't I stop fantasizing about him? Standing up there in his tight jeans, his bulge practically flaunted in my face. I picture the victorious way he'd smirk as he bent me over his desk, flipping my skirt up and taking me. Like it was inevitable.
But here's the thing . . .
I don't want him to just take my body, or my virginity.
Lauren Landish is a WALL STREET JOURNAL & USA TODAY bestselling author and her books have garnered a legion of praise from her readers.

Daisy is a college student. She loves math. She doesn’t always like her math professor, but she fantasies about him. Connor also loves math. He’s a college professor. He loves teaching math, but he’s a tough professor. Connor fantasies about one of his students and her name is Daisy. So Daisy and Connor fantasy about each other, but it’s forbidden. They do grow closer when Connor tutors Daisy. They talk a lot and also about what they feel about each other.
I really liked Connor and Daisy. Daisy is smart, talented, kind, innocent, determined and shy. She studies hard, because she knows what she wants to do later. She isn’t too happy with the points she’s getting from her math’s professor, but she’s happy when Connor teaches her some more to get better points. Daisy is definitely attracted to Connor, but she never expected that he could feel the same about her.
Connor is smart, passionate, honest, controlling and tough. He pushes his students to be better. Connor thinks that Daisy is excellent in math, but he still wants to get her better in it. He believes in her. Connor wants Daisy so much that he wants to risk his job to be with her.
Connor and Daisy’s love is a forbidden one, but they have a solid relationship. When someone tries to jeopardize their relationship, they will fight for their love. They want to be together forever.
Satin and Pearls is a good first book in Lauren Landish’s new series. This book is fast paced, hot, sweet and quick. I can’t say exactly what, but I missed something to give this book more than 3 stars.
-- My honest review is based on an advanced reader copy of this book. --
A naughty professor story? Sign me up! This forbidden romance was a hot and quick read. Connor was cocky and arrogant and the hot nerd that nerd girls like me are always gaga for. Daisy was a virgin, but she where she lacked in experience, she more than made up for with curiosity. It was instalust and it was yummy! There was drama typical of a hidden relationship, but it didn't stop these two from burning up the pages. With likeable characters and an irresistible trope, Satin and Pearls gave me just the type of thrill I was expecting.

Daisy has been crushing on her math professor but at the same time she cannot stand how critical he is of her work.
While Connor is feeling all kinds of sexual things for his student, and he knows it is beyond wrong as he has never wanted nor craved to cross that line with anyone before her.
They both want each other and when they finally start revealing their desires things heat up and it becomes a monster to control.
There is a small scene where Daisy believes he is interested or being persuaded by another student, but it's quickly shot down and we know from his POV, all he wants is Daisy.
I appreciated how Connor was ready to sacrifice his reputation and career in order to protect Daisy when another student started blackmailing them.
I also saw the blackmail and who it was coming from a mile away. Glad she got her ass handed to her.
The book ends with them getting engaged and her revealing that she is pregnant.
Despite the fact that this was a novella, but it felt longer? Idk why but it felt like it had enough elements to make you believe their story and care for the characters.
Connor and Daisy make a great couple even if they are slightly taboo being Professor and student. The book hooked me in from the beginning and I for one can't wait for the next book in the series. Connor is the hot math professor and Daisy is his exceptional student, they are both well developed characters and I loved them dearly. The secondary characters are also well thought out and really add to the book as well.
I love Novella's. Sometimes you just want to get to the good stuff quickly.
Daisy and Connor were great together. Daisy was taking Connor's math class and he kept giving her less than stellar grades because even though she would give the correct answer, she would miss a tiny bit of showing all of her work or she would be missing a character in her equation. Just nitpicky stuff that would drive Daisy crazy. But, Connor was doing it to keep Daisy's attention plus, um, yeah, she might need a little bit of tutoring, if you know what I mean.
Great story and a great epilogue.
A total must read.

Splash me with a bucket of cold water it was so sexy!
The typical story of a sexy, intelligent, built professor and a young, innocent, virginal co-ed. Instagram lust and next thing you know thievery are sneaking around because of the non-fraternization policy of the college.
The thing that sets this story apart was the sex scenes were super hot!!!
Daisy and Connor's story was a quite classic teacher/ student in love romance. It was steamy and sweet with a minor spin at the end! I really enjoyed it! Also, I really love the cover! It's a perfect match to the story!
Lauren Landish does it again! Book 1 of her new Virgin Diaries series is absolutely awesome...Satin and Pearls has a terrific storyline; excellent characters; lots of action with a few unexpected twists and turns; and the HEA? Ohmigod, it’s a real treat! Grab your copy today! (I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book and loved it!)
This was a short sexy fun book about a college professor and his student. The characters were both very likable. It was a little predictable and I knew that the other female student would be a problem right when she was introduced. The ending was happy and sweet.
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.
Connor Daniels is the hottest guy on campus. He's sexy, cocky and has a huge ego, he's also Daisy's math professor; the same professor who teaches the class Daisy is barely passing. It seems he is intent on giving out C's no matter how hard she works. Math is Daisy's major. She needs to figure out a way to fit more studying into her schedule in order to bring the grade up. In the classroom Daisy is just another face. Nothing special. Maybe she's not as smart as she thought. There are other students that seem to be doing well and they aren't even trying as hard as her. When Connor's subtle glances and light flirting get Daisy's attention, she's thinking that maybe it's just her imagination. There's no way Professor Daniels would take a second look in her direction, especially when he could have any woman he wanted. Daisy doesn't realize it yet but Connor Daniels has ulterior motives and has, in fact, already picked his woman. He's her professor and that could mean losing everything he's worked for. How much is Connor willing to risk? FIRST OF ALL-THIS BOOK WAS HOT ! ON FIRE ! SCORCHING🔥🔥🔥 ! NOT THE USUAL RUN-OF-THE-MILL TEACHER/STUDENT TABOO READ. THIS STORYLINE WAS ORIGINAL AND COMPLEX. AMAZING CHARACTERS THAT CAME TO LIFE ON THE PAGE AND DREW ME IN FROM THE START ! SEXY AND FLIRTY AND OH SO GOOD ! ! ! LAUREN HAS DONE IT AGAIN ! This is Book 1 of THE VIRGIN DIARIES SERIES, I am impatiently awaiting Book 2 !
A good read from start to finish. Daisy is a student at college. A maths major who wants a perfect score but thinks her professor is a hard man who just wants to not pick her work and give her a score she doesn’t deserve. Connor Daniels is a maths professor, loving his job but wanting tenure he does everything he can to make that a reality. What he doesn’t bank on is Daisy and his increasing attraction to her. As they embark on a relationship, someone blackmails Connor for $100,000, straight A’s and what else they want. Will the blackmailer get what they want? Will there be a HEA for these two? Will Daisy get her perfect scores? I can’t wait for Arianna’s book.
This was a decent student & professor relationship story just not one of my favorites. Some things felt a little off I think it was some of the wording and him assuming she was a virgin and how they both said the same thing in their mind was a little weird for me. I felt like we could of learned a bit more about the characters but if you’re just looking for a smutty story I’m sure you’d enjoy it!
An amazing cocktail of witty, sexy, and innocence that can intoxicate you. I couldn't put this preciously delicious book that I devoured within one day. It had everything I love; cliche's, older man and younger women romance, and a good little bit of drama.
This was a pretty average read, landing squarely in the 3 star territory for me. Although to be quite fair, I’ve never gravitated toward the professor x student trope as I have with others, and as that’s the main romantic trope of this novella, it was on me.
But taking in the novella as a whole, the main characters were mostly likable, I definitely felt their chemistry, and the spice was done well on the majority, although some elements were overplayed at times.
I also felt that the resolution to the taboo nature of the main couple’s relationship was iffy. Iffy in the sense that it felt so manufactured to turn out in the favor of the main couple, or at least the MMC, that I almost would’ve preferred there to just be smooth sailing until the end, although I guess that would defeat the taboo element LOL.
But overall writing wasn’t bad at all, and I would definitely read something else by this author!
Maths never been so hot! Nerdy, sexy, forbidden and so damn .... addictive
That's what this story is. Is like a rain in the middle of the summer. You crave it, you fantaze about it and when you feel the first rain drop on your skin, you are in heaven. This is a teacher-student romance, so the forbidden is the main point of it. But what's forbidden is usually extremely tempting too. So the explosive attraction once it out, keeps developing. And what's started like a pure intimate need, quickly turns into something more. So much more. What Daisy and Connor gets it's a hungry chemistry, it's deep, it's demanding and it's so hot. The story goes a little too fast for my taste, but has all the right elementars to be a really good and naughty novel. *ARC volunteerly reviewed*
Sexy book, virgin student, sexy, hot math teacher, great combo. I really enjoyed this book. Cute, short story about math teacher and his student that has a very hot attraction for each other. Once they touched each other they couldn't stop, even when they got blackmailed. If you like a little naughty book then read this one, I guarantee a smile.
Audiobook Review: Satin and Pearls (The Virgin Diaries Series, Book 1) by Lauren Landish (Author), Melissa Moran (Narrator), Tor Thom (Narrator)
Call it taboo. Call it spicy. Satin and Pearls is addictive reading. Landish has a way of enticing the devil on your shoulder while laying claim to your hearts desire. With the help of Thom and Moran, she breathes life into a wicked fantasy.
Solid 3.5/5 — Sure there were some issues, but it’s still worth the read. Look I was going to rate this story a 4, maybe 4.5 but that epilogue ruined a perfectly good story.
~ TEACHER x STUDENT x VIRGIN x HEA
This quote from the book basically sums up their story:
“We didn’t just cross a line. We obliterated that motherfucker and left it so far in the dust that I can’t ever go back.”
Conner is a university math professor. Daisy is a virgin math major and student of Conner’s. Daisy has it bad for him, he has it secretly bad for her. It’s all great and they have a really solid relationship. Professor Conner teaches his student more than math and it’s sweet and filthy at the same time. Yes she’s a virgin but the series is titled “The Virgin Diaries” if you’re one of those people who’s over the virgin and experience man romance this isn’t the book for you.
They get caught and there’s some blackmail drama for a minute, I like the way it was handled.
Check it out the smut in this book is legit. It’s pretty explicit and I learned something I’m going to save for a rainy day. In the epilogue we learn Conner does anal or likes to and wants to with Daisy but she’s still an ass virgin, we should have gotten an anal scene, it would have made up for the cheesy ending.
+ WARNING THIS LAST PARAGRAPH IS GOING TO CONTAIN SPOILERS + + + + + +
What I didn’t like about the story that fucked everything great about what was happening was the damn EPILOGUE!!! Why do authors feel the need to get their couples engaged or married or have a baby?? Aaaaarrrgh, Daisy is in college, they’ve only been together for a semester and a half. She wants to get her PhD and she’s an undergrad. He wants to make tenure. Why do they need to get engaged and then the last sentence drop the bomb that’s she’s knocked up? WHY!?!!
It’s me but I hate when really good romances have to end in marriage and/or a baby. Neither of those things are inherently romantic. Oh and PS Conner isn’t getting anal anytime soon seeing as Daisy has a bun in the oven.
If you want a quick smutty book to read then this book is for you. Personally, I enjoy plot along with my smut but preference are preference. I think what bothered me most about this book was how fast everything happened. They were basically confessing their love for one another after a month of going out. No. Ew. And don’t even get me started on the ending! I hated that bit of angst that was added to make it seem like the book had a plot. The smut was fine. It’s what you expect a horny teenager to write on Wattpad. That’s literally the embodiment of this book. Not to mention, the characters had no distinctive personality traits that distinguished one from another. I hated all the characters. Connor gave me the ick. Man was coming off way to strong way to quickly. Daisy was naïve. I mean seriously? It felt like her brain had shut off and she became a walking, submissive sex toy. Like what?
This is a reenactment of what went down at the end of the book (spoilers):
*Connor and daisy just had sex* *daisy finds a picture! Oh no it’s the two of them going at it* Daisy: oh no! Connor: oh no! Daisy: I know who did it. Connor: omg you’re so right. I know what I’m going to do. Daisy: okay I 100% support all of you decisions and I trust you so I will give no input at all because I don’t really know what’s at risk :) Connor: okay, honey. I’ll be back. *two pages later* Connor: yay! I defeated the bad guy. Daisy: I’m so proud of you. Connor: want to move in with me? Daisy: obvi *another two pages later* *their having sex* Connor: hey I know we’ve only known each other for about two or three months but… will you marry me? Daisy: duh! Connor: yipee Daisy: btw I’m pregnant. Connor: yippe! Because that’s exactly what we need right now!
Also the fact that Ariana and Daisy call each other “chica” is so weird and cringy to me.
I don’t even know what I read at this point. I’m disappointed in myself.

Where do I start? Having listened to the second book in the series, I jumped at the chance to listen to Satin & Pearls. This was just as good and perhaps even more smoking hot.
I really would have loved a professor like Connor Daniels when I was in school. I was hooked from chapter one. This was not a long listen but wow Lauren Landish packed a lot into this story and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
This story was extremely hot , taboo and a whole lot of naughty. It was full of fabulous scenes and honestly I was so disappointed when it ended. I want to know what happens to Connor and Daisy in the future.
where was the relationship?? the conflict was non-existent like this was a short stupid story. also ive gotten use to the interesting word choices these authors use but this one made me remember how fuckin weird they r. lemme share some.
“tasting her cotton-candy sweetness right from the source.”
"“Milk my cream out of me.”
"salty velvet"
"“they’ll hear my Professor fucking my student pussy and ass.” literally what- i need to read synopsises...
This is a deliciously steamy student/teacher romance that offers up plenty of emotional turmoil and drama. I loved the attraction and chemistry between Daisy and Connor. The scenes between these two just sizzled! I also really liked that there was a genuine affection between the characters. This is a very enjoyable novella length romance. This is my totally honest, completely voluntary review.
Wow, I feel like I've been on a roll here lately with some great contemporaries and this one just continues my streak. I was left fanning my face at a couple points in the story and I'm probably still grinning wickedly even now. Quick read but not lacking, super entertaining forbidden romance, with all the danger of discovery, and steam for days...
Daisy, our FMC, is a math major in college and has that type A personality. Failure is not an option.. despite all her Math professors attempts at keeping her down with his hard ass grading. If only she could concentrate on her lessons instead of fantasizing about him. Connor, math genius with a brilliant mind, can't stand half assing it. He wants to push his students to be better.. well he especially wants to push Daisy. He sees her brilliance and can't stand her cutting corners but more than that.. he can't stop thinking about her.. despite the fear that it could ruin his career and her future he can't help himself from falling for her. Unfortunately all secrets come to light eventually, but they can't stop now, its too late...
Fast paced and hot as it gets. Really great read from Lauren Landish who is now on my radar! Going to have to dig around and see what else of hers I can pull up!
