In the near future where printing a brain is only a click away, the city of Portland, Oregon thrives as the new metropolis of high tech. It also boasts the highest abduction rate in the world and a dark op agency suspects its Forest Park is the major scene of intergalactic crimes. But when those responsible fail to take credit for the missing, the covert agency calls upon the clone of legendary FBI Agent Caitlin Diggs to assist in hunting down the invisible enemy. Equipped with psi abilities, the dark agency hopes Diggs can stop the enemy without exposing an alien threat to the populace. Just underneath the radar, aliens walk in Portland under the guise of humans thanks to a morphic shaping technology. An alien posing as a biotech acquisitions specialist, Krista Shay, is hoping to find a peaceful way to initiate a first contact. Yet those back on the Zyri home world seem to have a different agenda for the planet Earth and it has nothing to do with extending an olive branch. The real Krista Shay is trapped in an alien body on Zyri and learns the sinister plans of a man she calls the Interrogator will only thwart a peace initiative. Can Agent Diggs and the peace loving alien posing as Krista Shay find a way to unravel the dark mystery of the forest and take down the invisible enemy before an interplanetary war erupts?

Another great book from Gary Starta. Number five in the Caitlin Riggs series. Caitlin is a clone from another version of earth. Woman are disappearing from a forest where you walk in but don't come out. Unbeknownst to people on the earth, there is a portal where you can travel from one place to another. Brains are being swapped to different bodies and are spying for the planet Zyri. Will Caitlin be able to solve the mystery of the disappearances? Who is behind them? Another intelligent sci-fi from a great author.

Another great Caitlin Diggs Story

Another great story by Starta, and I've read a lot of his work. He has a knack for bringing a great story to life. Now, insert Caitlin Diggs, an FBI agent who is the lead of another grand adventure and investigation. This story will keep the reader on the edge of turning each page. There is a twist within the story, and the story is very unpredictable. I enjoyed the first contact aspect of the story, bringing something new to the plots. A great story, and I enjoyed every word of it.

I decided to finish this since it was only a hundred or so pages but if it wasnt so short I wouldnt have bothered. The entirety of the book felt like the ramblings of 9 year old child with little to no imagination. Every character feels like a cardboard cutout who is only capable of one emotion.

Overall I would consider this book as a perfect thing to waste your life away. I try not to be to negative in my reviews but there is no redemption for this book.
