Our third Canadian edition is now four colour and takes a more student-friendly visual approach. It uses tables and diagrams to explain concepts in place of lengthy text explanations and its narrative has been streamlined and revised to a more conversational tone. The result is a text that is easy for students to read and follow. Additionally, Chapter 1 has been revised in response to feedback from students and instructors. It now provides a more succinct review focused on the foundational math skills students need to succeed in the course.
