Rancher Rex Braden has been fighting his attraction for veterinarian Jade Johnson for 15 years. The Braden and Johnson families have been feuding for years—and Rex is extremely loyal to his family. He feels strongly that he can’t act on his attraction to Jade. Now that Jade is back in town can he stay away from her?

In the first chapter of the novel, Rex helps Jade get her injured horse out of a steep ravine. I loved that Jade was sassy and spoke right up to Rex. The sexual undercurrent between the couple’s conversations is sizzling hot and sets the tone for this opposites attract romance. I adored their first kiss scene—it wasn’t what I was expecting—it was so very hot until Rex remembered about family loyalty. And Jade’s reaction? If Rex wouldn’t stand up for her—she’d find someone who would! The conversations between Rex and Jade were so much fun to read and gave so much insight into the characters.

The romance that developed between gentleman Rex and sassy Jade is perfectly written. Rex and Jade have a connection and they decide to go to dinner –they pick a place a few towns away. I knew Rex had fallen hard for Jade during their first date when he told her he looked forward to many firsts with her. Addison Cole does a fabulous job weaving the feud between the Braden and Johnson families, the Johnson’s financial difficulties and Hal’s concern for Hope with the couple’s romance. Loved Rex and Hal’s relationship with Hope and how she brought the feud to an end. I could feel Adriana’s presence in the jewelry store and in the barn –and the words on the charm brought tears to my eyes.
The storyline in Our Sweet Destiny is complex and well -paced. Addison Cole’s characters are engaging and relatable. The banter between Rex and Jade worked for me—it was honest, emotional and loving. Loved that the entire Braden clan was featured in the story—the strong Braden family connection is the foundation in this series. The last few chapters are emotional for both families.
I have been a member of Melissa Foster’s fan club for about a year. I have heard so much about Rex and Jade— Rex has a huge following! Now I know why!!! He’s sexy, loyal and romantic—the kind of man every woman would like to share her HEA with!
If you enjoy books by Samantha Chase, Emily March or Marie Force—pick up Our Sweet Destiny!

Our sweet destiny is a modern and less lethal retelling of Romeo and Juliet. Jade and Rex's fathers had a huge falling out many years before and since then they refuse to talk about what happened and to each other, which makes Jade and Rex's relationship forbidden on some level. Of course, that doesn't stop the sparks or the chemistry. It's there even if our characters refused to admit their feelings which was frustrating. I would have liked them to get together sooner, but instead, they are circling each other.

I liked reading about Jade working as a vet. Even though we see a lot of horses her been a vet is not brought into the spotlight often. She was a likable character and I liked that she stood her ground. She is the kind of heroine that doesn't get on my nerves and she easily won me over. Rex was a little me more doufus, but at least he wasn't bad. Both characters were good individually and I liked each for different reasons. I was happy to not see them fight for silly reasons and be understanding.

I have a feeling that my favorite couple in the series is going to be Josh and Riley. From the moment their names were dropped in the same paragraph, I knew that I wanted them to become a couple and I was happy to find out that their story is next. I am almost certain that I will enjoy that book. These two didn't steal the spotlight from Jade and Rex though and it was just a secondary plot in order to ease the reader to the third book.

Overall, the book was good. I wanted to find out the story behind the falling out way earlier than we did because I needed something to convince me that these were supposed to be off-limits to each other and I was mostly satisfied with the revelation of the past. Our sweet destiny is not going to be a favorite of mine, but I still liked it, hence the 4 stars.

Life consists of multiple twists and turns. It knocks us down, only to lift us back up. The tragedies we face and lessons we learn, shape us into the people we're meant to be. Our Sweet Destiny is an emotional tale of battle scars, heartache, second chances and the power that love yields. Jade is learning to be human again. A troubled relationship has eaten away at her self worth and she needs a change. Returning home begins a chain of events that will change the course of her life and heal her broken heart. From feuding relatives to determined hearts, Cole spins a tale of broken dreams, new hope and fresh starts. Rex and Jade wrap themselves around the heart so intensely, it's hard to break free.

What a great story - I felt tingles all over as Rex and Jade were discovering their feelings for each other.

You could feel the chemistry bouncing off the pages. I did tear up a time or two with the family feud standing between them and their happiness. And I loved that when the time came (both) family's choose to support true love 💖

Now I'm anxious to see how the next book brings a smile to my face just as this one did.

Another sweet and spicy read by Addison Cole. This is the second book of the Braden series. Our Sweet Destiny focuses on the relationship that’s been brewing between Rex Braden and Jade Johnson since the time they were teenagers.

One of the main themes in this book is about family loyalty and the lengths people will go to remain fiercely loyal to those that matter most to them. But what happens when those that matter most begin to include someone that you aren’t supposed to talk to, let alone think about having a future with?

I loved reading Jade and Rex’s story and one of my favorite parts happens in nearby Allure. I won’t spoil the surprise but I will say that this book was touching. It reinforces a belief in fate and destiny when it comes to two people who were meant to be together against all odds.

Another theme in the story is that two stubborn individuals butting heads can go on forever when one isn’t willing to admit their wrongs. Sometimes people do things that come across as wrong but they’ve done it for all of the right reasons. In those cases, if you were on the short end of the stick, sometimes you have to be the bigger person and forgive. At the end of the day, we all want to love and be loved, and we want to be surrounded by people that are honest and loyal and loving.

I can’t wait to read the next book in the series!

Could Passion break a 40 year old feud between two families? Or will it bring out the worst and cause even more damage within each family? Rex and Jade are about to find out in Our Sweet Destiny.

Jade Johnson is leaving her troubled relationship and her career to head back home to the comfort of the small town she grew up in. Determined to get her feet back on stable ground and her life back in order she's ready and willing to start over, that is until she runs into Rex Braden. The sexy cowboy she's had a crush on for years has a lot more than dangerous good looks about him, his the son of the man her father's had a feud with for over 40 years. Untouchable as he may be because of family issues, Jade finds herself unable to look away or wonder what may happen if she gave in to the heat Rex stirs up deep inside of her.

For years he's had something for Jade but has kept his hands to himself. Their families were in the thick of a long lasting issue that didn't look like it would end anytime soon. The thought of what would happen if he got caught anywhere near Jade had him steer clear away, but fate had a different idea on that. A chance encounter landed them together and Rex finds it impossible to step away from Jade. Sparks fly, and ignite a passion so deep nether Rex or Jade can ignore it any longer.

The only problem is , if word got back to their father's that they were together it could possibly tear the families apart. With their own fate in their hands Rex and Jade must decide if their new found passion and love can conquer all. Will they be able to end the feud and mend the issues between families? Or will the strain of trying to fix a 40 year old problem tear Rex and Jade apart forever? You'll have to read Our Sweet Destiny to find out!

This was a great read! Really enjoyed seeing the growth of both Rex and Jade, and then the build of their relationship. While there were tough times for both Rex and Jade, they weren't willing to turn their backs on each other and it shows how much they meant to one another.

Another enchanting read in this series!

Our Sweet Destiny is a well written book full of romance with characters that are easy to like and connect with. You can’t help but fall in love with the characters in the book. As come to expect, this book drew me in from the very first page. It is a story full of romance, humor, and some steamy heat. A well-written story with a plot that moves at a good pace with a fresh, new story line that is easy to read. It is captivating and kept my attention to the very end. This is a story that will make you smile and laugh.

This is a story that will captivate and keep your attention from the first page to the last page. This author knows how to create a story with enough romance and action to keep the reader entertained and interested. The characters are well developed and easy to like. The characters in this series have become like my own friends and family. I can’t wait to read more in this series to see what happens with the rest of the characters.

Our Sweet Destiny is another book from a very gifted author that I had the pleasure to read. Addison Cole is a very talented author that tells remarkable stories that captivate you and will have you not wanting to put the book down. I have not been disappointed yet! Definitely, an author that you will want to keep on your go-to list. If you enjoy reading a romance that is entertaining and full of humor, then you will thoroughly enjoy this book. A truly entertaining read.

Addison Cole's Sweet with Heat series always makes me smile. I love the tinge of hotness without worrying about where I am when I am reading. Her telling of Jade and Rex's story - yes, it is one story but from two sides of a Hatfield and McCoy like feud -is no exception.

I've read about steamy Rex, the brooding cowboy, for several books now. While a deep, long ago infatuation with Jade is hinted at, nothing ever comes of it in previous books. Little did I know until Our Sweet Destiny that Jade had the same since high school feelings.

I can't imagine being Jade in this book. Having spent a lot of time in college to become a vet and then to have a man ruin it for her. Coming home is definitely the right thing to do. The question is is checking out the neighbor the right thing to do.

You need to pick up a copy of Addison Cole's Our Sweet Destiny and see how Jade and Rex's story works out. It is well worth the read time. I have volunteered to share my review and all the opinions are 100% my own.

There's nothing like an old family feud to put a hiccup in what could be love! Rex and Jade have felt a connection for years. It's been hidden by the mask of the feud that both of them wear to satisfy their families; however, when Jade returns home, it doesn't take long for this pair to admit that their destiny is meant to be intertwined. The downside is deciding if they are ready to sacrifice their relationship with their family to be together. Addison weaves a timeless story between the pair -- one that goes beyond the sweetness and romance of a relationship. They both desperately want to repair the bridge between their families; but is it going to be the final straw before the bridge completely burns up? I felt an incredible about of love between this pair far beyond the good looks and romantic relations. So deep and true!

I have volunteered to share my review and all the opinions are 100% my own.

Our Sweet Destiny is an adorable, sweet read. At times, this book could be frustrating due to the feud between the Johnsons and the Bradens.

Both characters are strong, determined, and very loyal to their family.

Jade is a smart and brilliant vet. I really enjoyed reading her moments with horses and her techniques with dealing with them.

Rex is very standoffish, gruff, and caring. He's protective of those he cares about, even if that person is suppose to be a family enemy.

I kept getting frustrated with how much these two fought their attraction. Each moment they ended up together, I cheered a little. Their forbidden moments are some of the best in the story.

I received this story as an ARC. I volunteered to leave my review. All opinions are my own.

There are so many words for this book.

Amazing doesn't even come close.

Rex Braden is a dream, he gives off the bad boy persona but the love, loyalty and protectiveness he shows not just his family but Jade too is enough to contradict that but also makes you swoon.

Jade is feisty and loves just as wholeheartedly and they are a perfect match for each other.

This book shows you how much The Bradens truly love and respect each other.

Will true love conquer all, read, enjoy anf find out.

A brilliant book by Addison and I cannot wait for more!!!

This is possibly my favorite of Mrs. Cole's books! Rex and Jade's families haven't spoken in decades because of an old family feud, yet they've been lusting after another from afar since they were teens. After Jade returns home, the two keep running into each other.

They start a secret relationship, but they're both torn between love and family loyalty. Can they make a relationship work when their parents hate each other so much?

I absolutely adore these books, but I love love love Rex and Jade!

I have volunteered to share my review and all the opinions are 100% my own.

From the start, I was inclined to compare this to the story of the Hatfields and McCoys. But it doesn't quite fit. Although family loyalty is a strong theme, and the families don't exactly like each other, the resemblance ends there. This is much closer to a happier Romeo and Juliet (where the star-crossed lovers don't die). Rex and Jade really do seem like the perfect couple - both stubborn and fiery, loyal to their family, and longing after each other for years. A great addition to the sweet Braden line and a must read for cowboy lovers!

Another sweet with heat winning story! This was a frustrating book for me because I wanted Rex and Jade together from the beginning but their loyalties to their families overpowered my wishes (temporarily though - hehe). You can feel the magnetic pull between Rex and Jade so much that you will want to keep turning the page to see if they will go behind their families to be together. A tantalizing weekend read!

Ms. Cole has brought the perfect opposites attract love story to life. The push and pull that both Rex and Jade feel is felt through the pages while reading. Both Rex and Jade are loyal to their families but have to decide if that loyalty is worth their happiness. Rex is another in a long list of amazing book boyfriends by Ms. Cole. While this is the sweet version it brought the heat with it! I can't wait to see what's next.

After Treat and Max here we are presented with the middle brother Rex Braden. Rex and Jade love story is full of family feud, cute horses, loyalty and love.
Rex is the one who is keeping the ranch together with his father Hal and always had a thing for his neighbor Jade. However, their families have been in a feud forever and now they reconnect. Jade is a veterinarian and helps the Bradens with their special horse.
This is a special story, Rex and Jade are so cute, so wonderful together...This is a book to keep and read it again always.

Rex Braden, has spent his whole life caring for the family ranch, more so since his father has suffered health issues. Rex lives a practically care-free life, until Jade Johnson shows back up into town.
Jade Johnson, after a failed relationship and some stalking issues, has returned to her family home. She is deciding whether to reopen her practice or move elsewhere and start over, but learns that her family is thinking of downsizing their ranch.
For over 20 years, the town has known about the Braden-Johnson, though no-one knows the details of how best friends ending up feuding. The draw between Jade and Rex, though forbidden, is undeniable and frustrating for the two. Drama, drama, drama! You will not be able to put this book down, wanting to know all about the feud and whether Rex and Jade can make any kind of relationship work.

Disclosure: At my request, I have received an advance copy of this book for review purposes. I am not being financially compensated for this post, all opinions expressed are my own honest opinion.

This is the story of Jade Johnson who returns back to her hometown after a failed relationship and closing her veterinary practice. While out on her horse it becomes injured and who comes to the rescue, not only the sexy and forbidden Rex Braden. There has been a forty year long feud going on between the Johnson and the Bradens, and It hasn’t helped the attraction between Rex and Jade for the last fifteen years
Rex and Jade decide to take their relationship on even if there loyalty to their family may put a strain on them but can these two find the love between them to keep them together, or will the feud between the families split them forever.
Another great story by Addison Cole.

Finally I have had a chance to read all about Sexy Rexy! Jade and Rex's story has been on I have been dying to read and it lived up to the expectations I had of it.

A forty year family feud has keep the Braden's and Johnson's apart, but the heart wants what the heart wants and for Rex and Jade it turns out their hearts want each other despite the feud their fathers are clinging on to. The begin to date in secret until they are sure it more than just a high school crush they want to get over. But when fate steps in it soon becomes clear that they are meant for each other and to hell with that their families think.

I shed a few tears throughout this book - in a good way - and I have to say I loved their story, but can they make a relationship work when their parents hate each other so much? You will have to read it to find out.

Our Sweet Destiny tells the story of two individuals who have known each other for years, but because of family dynamics, have not been allowed to be together. When Jade finds herself in troubles, Rex is the only one around to help her. Although it does not seem like it to either of them at the time, this incident becomes that catalyst for the two of them to start sneaking around behind their families. Ultimately the two of them will have to decide if true love is worth defying family for, regardless of the consequences.

Our Sweet Destiny is a sweet less steamy version of  Destined for Love a while. When I picked this up I didn't realise this but as I started the first chapter I recognised the characters and storyline.

This story is all about Rex Braden, a cowboy and Jade Johnson, a vet, They have known each other for years and have had a fluttering of feelings ever since high school, but because Rex's father and Jade's father fell out 40 years earlier and have been feuding ever since, and family means everything to them both they cannot be friends let alone lovers.

Nothing can stop their attraction thought and they just can't stop themselves. Will it affect their family for the better or for the worse? You will have to read it to find out.

I loved this book as much as I loved the steamy version. It was nice and refreshing without the steamy scenes in it, I thought it would spoil it but of course, it didn't. I actually preferred the less raunchy version.

Definitely a five out of five for me!

The first thing I have to say about this book and all of Addison's books, is that the cover is absolutely stunning. That is the first thing that grabs me about any of her books. Her covers make me want to grab them, right away

This book actually reminded me a bit of a Delores Fossen novel. I love a good cowboy story and toss in a family feud (no not the game show..or as bad as the Hatfields and McCoys) but a good rift between families that were once close and you get a nice romance with some good old fashioned drama to go with it.

I really loved Rex and Jade. They had a lot to overcome to become a couple; stubbornness and family loyalty are the two biggies. I also love that Jade was a vet. This is the second book where the heroine had that profession. I love me a strong female character that helps animals.

This is definitely a must read book. Again, I can't ever decide which of Addison's books are my favorite, because each one is a favorite, however I really liked the Bradens better than the seaside couples, which actually blew my mind a bit. I like Western themed romances aka cowboy books but they aren't my favorite, well, until now.

Rex was the reason I loved this story.. He was a big softy even though he was a bit of tough guy. I also loved that he was protective without being too alpha, or too much like the guy Jade left behind. I also enjoyed the back story of the two families, though I wish more time could have been devoted to it. I'm always interested in what makes people do the things they do.

This was a wonderful read. It was also more "sweet" than the past books, which is fine with me as well.

Rex Braden has a filly that holds a special place in his heart. He shows us how hard temptation can be. Jade Johnson is getting really frustrated. Jade is a woman whose undecided of what she really wants – both in her personal and professional like. Rex is also undecided. He doesn’t know if he wants to please his dad or himself. The question then becomes, how is that going to affect the new relationship he wants to build?

This may be part of the Sweet With Heat series but I’m not sure that this book is all about the sweet because there’s plenty of heat. Our author also takes her story one step further. The only thing I couldn’t figure out is if it’s a mystery or suspense. Maybe a little bit of both? It did have me start looking around each corner/page wondering if a shoe was going to drop. This is one story where we see how family feuds can affect the children – even if they are adults.

This story seems to put a modern twist on the tale of the Hatfields and McCoys. What’s good for us is that we don’t get to see the feud that the parents created – we only get hints and the effects. We get to enjoy the children as they get to really know each other and see them slowly fall in love. This is different from the other Braden stories that I have previously read – but that’s a good thing. As a reader you don’t want to read something that seems to be one you’ve read before. Not knowing what was going to happen between Rex and Jade is what kept me reading. I liked that our author, in a way, gave me two endings. I get one for our main characters, of course, and the other is from our previous book, Treat and Max. So not to spoil the ending, if you haven’t read A Love So Sweet you may want to start there first.

Now that Fall is truly here, this story has me wanting to take a trip out West for a ranching experience. I want to start my morning by getting my Braden fix. At night, I want to sit under the stars sitting in front of a fire, with something to warm my belly and a little bit more of the Bradens to warm my heart. I can’t wait for more and luckily I don’t have too long to wait.

I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.

We met Rex Braden in the last novel, A Love So Sweet, and this is the incredibly romantic story about Rex and his neighbor, Jade Johnson. Rex and Jade have been crazy about one another for years – from afar. Due to a decades-old feud between their fathers, Rex and Jade as a couple seem to be an impossibility. But the more they are thrown together, whether by accident or fate, the harder it is to deny their feelings, despite the feud.

Ahhh, Rex… What a sexy, sensitive, romantic, caring, hard-working, and close to perfection specimen of a man! If you had any doubt about Rex’s level of hotness in the previous novel, then that doubt will fly out the window once you start reading this! Jade is just as fantastic being the all-around ranch girl, has degrees as a veterinarian with specialties in acupuncture and therapeutic massage for horses, she’s beautiful, funny, and just a great person. So of course, I rooted for them from the very beginning.

Besides the primary story about Rex and Jade’s forbidden love, Our Sweet Destiny also includes some great touches of fate, kismet, and love that is meant to be. As in the previous novel, Rex’s Dad still talks to his late wife’s horse, Hope, as if he’s talking to his wife. Rex and Jade have an incredibly moving moment while out window shopping that confirms that they are meant to be. Plus, we learn a lot of good details from the past regarding Rex and Jade’s parents, their friendships, and the aftermath of the big blow-up between them. I am always a sucker for meant-to-be romances, but this one really touched my heart due to the tie-in with Rex’s mother.

Although the stubbornness of the fathers was frustrating at times, this novel made my heart swell with happiness and brought tears of joy more than once. This one just oozes romance, but also has plenty of appearances by other friends and family members and I was crazy excited for the next novel about Josh and Riley! As usual with Addison Cole, I can’t recommend this one enough! Even if you haven’t read A Love So Sweet, you can still enjoy this one and I fell certain that you will love it!

So I’m loving these sweet romantic version book by Addison Cole. There’s not graphic sex scenes or crude language but still every bit of romance and addicting storyline. The newest book I read was Our sweet Destiny and I loved it!

Rex is a Braden which I’ve met in a previous book about his older brother Treat’s story. He is a tough stone-faced cowboy who helps run his fathers horse ranch. He lost his mother at a young age and just never really had time for relationships. There’s only one woman who has ever caught his attention but is total forbidden fruit. She is his father’s ex-best friend, a total enemy for many years, daughter.

Jade comes home to help her parents and to get away from a bad breakup. She’s a strong feisty woman who loves animals. She is a vet who connects with her patients and uses massages and looks at their emotions like a human. She gets her self into a predicament and needs help but gets it from the last person she could ever imagine getting it from, her crush since she was in high school. She can’t stand Rex’s attitude towards her no matter how nice she tries to be. Maybe her father is right Bradens are no good and she should stay away from them, but she can’t get him out of her head!

This story has love, action, family turmoil and keeps you on your toes. Do you believe in destined love? After reading this book you might have a different opinion. Addison really made this story so realistic and her words just flow into your heart. I can’t wait to read the next book with Josh and Riley. So if you love romance books you have to check this one out! You will thank me later.

I absolutely love this series - the Weston Braden's of Weston, CO. They're ranchers with a strong sense of family and honor. Hal Braden has been raising his six kids since his wife died 26 years ago and now as adults we get to visit, in each book, the life of one of the Bradens as each finds love.

Rex has been a rancher his entire life. It's all he's ever wanted. But lately, since Jade Johnson returned to town, he's been thinking about a whole lot more than ranching. However, with the feud that has been going on between their families, Rex knows he could never dishonor his father by even being seen with the petite little veterinarian.

Jade has gotten herself and her horse in big trouble and the only person around to help her is the one person she has been secretly in love with for years and the son of her father's biggest enemy. As the two dance around the feelings they have hidden for years due to their family's feud, it quickly becomes clear that what drove their father's friendship to ruin may not be enough to keep these two apart.

With Rex's father talking to his wife's horse like Adriana is still alive inside the horse, a secret feud that goes back centuries, and the blossoming of forbidden love, this book takes you on an emotional ride to the very last page. Will Rex and Jade be able to bring their two familys together or lose the love they've been denied for years?

I think one of my favorite things to do is read the Addison Cole version of each story, then read the Melissa Foster version to get the serious heat afterwards. I know it seems silly, and yet, I'm completely addicted to doing this, though they are the same person. This is Rex and Jade's story, and it was an emotional journey that tugged on my heartstrings completely. See Rex and Jade's families had some serious beef for a very long time with a feud so there was no way that they could ever be together even if they wanted to be. And yeah, Rex Braden has had an attraction to Jade Johnson for 15 long years, but being loyal to his family, there's no way he can act on it. Luckily, she's been gone a bit, so that helped him, however, now that she's back, yep, it's going to be torture again, especially since this story starts out with him helping her get her horse out of a steep ravine. Jade is a feisty girl who has no problem talking back to Rex, and the chemistry is shooting sparks everywhere, and they decide to explore it secretly. Yeah, obviously this is going to keep me on the edge of my seat the rest of the story because you know that other shoe is going to drop, as it's only a matter of time. So this story hit me hard in the feels, as it's about family, love, and all kinds of loyalty & forgiveness. I CANNOT WAIT for more of this family, and HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

This is the second book in Addison Cole’s Braden family series (read my review of number one here)
The family feud that was mentioned in the first book becomes the central theme of this book, reminiscent of Romeo and Juliet (actually just noticed that the lead lovers have the same initials!)
Rex Braden had been harbouring a secret love for Jade Johnson and so has she in return. But the animosity between their fathers has prevented them even speaking to each other for most of their lives.
Jade returned to Weston in the last book and is now here to stay so they need to address their feelings. They accept their emotional connection but keep it a secret from their families: will their love ever be accepted?
I didn’t really like Rex in the last book as he was quite unkind to his brother but he was much more likeable in this book as we got to see his softer side.
I got very involved with the characters and was frustrated by the single mindedness of the fathers for being proud and ruining their friendship. I also felt they were wrong to impose their opinions on their children.
It was an interesting dilemma to consider: the love you have always wanted versus the love of your family. Rex and Jade have put their families first for their whole lives but they can’t deny their own happiness any longer.
With lots more siblings, I’m looking forward to the rest of the Braden family stories…

A long-standing family feud that no one really understands; a couple who cannot be together because of it; and family loyalty that comes before anything else… these are the things they are facing in an uphill battle for love once Rex Braden and Jade Johnson admit that they have been in love with each other since their youth.

Hal Braden and Earl Johnson were once good friends who planned to go into business together breeding horses and ranching. Unfortunately, there came a time when Earl made a mistake in trying to keep from losing his ranch. Instead of trusting his friend to help him through, he chose another path. Based on this decision, the two men became enemies.

Rex and Jade come to a point where even though they are caught up in their families battle, they admit their love and cannot deny it. This becomes a test. Will Rex give Jade up to honor his father’s unbending dislike of the Johnsons because family comes first? Will Jade stay in town and be torn apart by the drama or give up the man she loves and decide to resettle elsewhere even though Weston is her home?

It was hard to “watch” them struggle with the burden of their families’ past. These two belong together. Ultimately, they have to move forward in order to have their happily ever after, and their relationship brings the years long family feud to a head.
