If you once fall for one of Smirnov Bratva boys, you'll fall for all: 4 solid and well deserved stars!
Love this series: T.L. Smith worked wonder on the characters. With each book T.L. Smith improved the reading experience. Even though I really enjoyed reading all books of this series, Defiance is by far my favorite. Not only because I fell in love with Freya in the first book but also because the whole plot is almost flawless.
T.L. Smith has the gift getting you hooked from the first pages to the last. Those stories are full of everything you can wish for in a mafia/bratva book. They are dark but also make you smile, they are thrilling but you are not too frighted, it's romantic but also dramatic.
Reading this series is intoxicating leaving you with the want for more.

Book 1:
"In a world full of colour there needs to be dark because darkness is the best place to be."

For two long years Kazier has been playing a game of cat and mouse with a woman known only as Elina. Dancing alone seductively she has her own Siren's song and from the first moment he was hooked on her, his drug of choice. He is the Russian Mob Boss and it's time to marry a Princess but unfortunately his heart already belongs to another. Who is that girl?

Cue the will they won't they plot line and the double dealing dirty rats that are plotting to over throw the order of things. Who really is Elina? Can he really not marry the woman that has been chosen for him in lieu of a ghost? Who can he trust? Distrust is filled suspense told in a then and now style that slowly reveals how the events are now unraveling. It's action packed and as part one in series also introduces to a wealth of sexy and intriguing characters.

Distrust is a fantastic debut in the dark world of the Mafia by TL Smith, with her signature antihero that has an edge. Her female lead us strong and sassy, a perfect match for the brooding domineering male characters. I thoroughly enjoyed this story and that ending...cruel!!! Can't wait for the next in the series.

Book 2:
"Maybe that's why I want to kill her. So I can see what her insides look like, to check if they're as clean as she is on the outside."

Such a conundrum wrapped in a beautifully dark package of male perfection Death is lost to his work. Immersed in the beauty of destruction he has lost his connection to the living, understanding little of normal human interaction. He respects his Pakhan and his part in the family but doesn't understand the human motivations that drive those around to make hasty decisions to protect the ones they love. He is a beautiful singularity, rare in oddness and perfect in his routines. Until his finely attuned reality is shattered by the perfection of Pollie. She introduces something he finds quite abhorrent into his realm of death..life. How will he cope with this new turn of events? Can Pollie really see the man hidden within? Will they get the opportunity to find out or will the schemes of evil yet powerful men destroy their hope for a tomorrow?

Disbelief is the second in this series and is my favourite so far. Death is a perfect anti hero, his childhood and role within the family helping him to distance himself from humanity, making him able to disconnect from normality. Yet Pollie acts as a switch and the way he reacts to the wealth of new sensations is fascinating as he explores the limits of his control with her. The journey they take together definitely has some bumps along the way and the greater plotline of the ongoing war between two families takes a back seat to their romance although the next stage is set for more drama. I loved the carefully planned plotline and how each story builds a larger picture as each characters becomes more familiar. Freya and Anton especially make me chuckle with their antics and I feel sorry Victor, he's not a happy man! I think certain parts of the story will become clear with end new book as the plot is revealed but I have lots of theories in my head and I can't wait to see where we are taken next in this breathtaking series. I love the mystery, the hints and misdirection that is an unique part of TL Smith's writing style I can't wait for the next book!

A highly recommended Five star Death is inevitable read.

Book 3:
The third in this series we finally get Freya's and Victor's love/hate story. They have played a large part in the previous books in the series and now we explore their relationship. Freya has been used and passed around as collateral in the murky underworld, used to strengthen family position by marrying her off she ends up with a man that clearly doesn't want to be married and only agrees as he is loyal to his family and the code. The resentment between them is palatable and yet the sparks of attraction are hard to miss. Can Freya carve out her place in this new grave world where the women hold their own and are as dark as their alpha male? Or will be become of victim of the never ending game for power, control and ultimate domination?

This wasn't my favourite in the series I have to admit hence the four star rating as the plot takes a twist or two that I wish Victor had shown more backbone and loyalty to his wife rather than his boss but it added to their hate and animosity towards one another and the helpless situation they find themselves in. That said I revelled in their dark world and the ongoing plot lines with some of the best characters the author has birthed. I laughed and winced, shook my head in disbelief and enjoyed the passion they have for one another. It's a well written and drama filled story that captured me from start to finish. A fab addition to the series.

A four star read.

Book 4:
“I don’t. I don’t want to escape the crash, I want to stay in the destruction. All the way until my heart doesn’t beat anymore.”

Anton is the last of the Bratva men not pussy whipped and not under the thrall of being totally in love. He's the perfect Russian playboy with a different woman every night he enjoys being single and enjoys sex. Yet one night with a woman who then sneaks out on him makes him curious and so begins a merry chase. On the surface she is a stripper and a self confident woman who isn't ashamed to use her sexuality as a tool but underneath the surface she has demons she is trying hard to ignore. Can the playboy manage to work her out of his system or will she be the woman that makes him fall?

I laughed, shook my head and at times really wanted to hurt Anton. He can be totally dumb at times but then redeems himself by doing the simple things. He's a contradiction but that's his attraction. Capable of delivering death to those that stand against him whilst taking care of those that matter he's perfectly imperfect in every way. Samara has already survived so much drama in her short life that has helped define her as the strong capable woman she is but Anton makes her want, desire and dream. He's everything she doesn't think she needs but can he become her everything...their story is filled with trauma and pain but Anton does what he does best and deals with all the monsters. It's also fab catching up with all our previous couples and how they are all getting along. The relationship between Death and Anton hasn't changed and still has me enthralled with the love/hate vibe they have going on. They are one big family, loyal and loving and this story embraces that completely. It was a fantastic read, once again TL Smith has written a story that I simply lost myself to.

A five star love gets you when you least expect it read.

I have no idea how this got the 4.5 rating. Once again I’ve been tricked into reading a shitty book. Main character is a guy who has been screwing some chick he doesn’t know for two years. She disappears -> reappears -> sex -> she disappears again.

And apparently that’s all you need to get a twisted idiot to love you. He loves killing people, blood and death. They have no chemistry that comes across on the page. If I had to read about her biting him until he lip bled once more I was going to break the phone.

Honestly even at .99 cents it was too pricey. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME.

Distrust #1
T.L Smith takes on a love story and TWISTS it all up and then she smashes it to smitherings and....... She puts it back together with so much angst and suspense I was biting my nails while reading!!
I loved that we got to meet quite a few characters and still have in-depth description of the main characters.
Elina has no respect form her father and he isn't shy about expressing it.
Kazier has the respect of his men but is intrigued by a mystery woman that his enemies sees as his weakness.
Caught in the middle of a war Kazier and Elina fight for what yearn for.
I absolutely LOVE The 1st installment of this series and was left wanting more!!!!!

Disbelief #2
Death and Pollie have to be the most opposite and most adorable couple this far in the Smirnov Bratva series!!
Death, doesn't really need an introduction, especially after reading Distrust! Pollie is oblivious to the dark world that happens everyday around her, not only because she is blind, but she never experienced that side until she agrees to go out with her friend and her world explodes..... LITERALLY!!!!! And of all the people to save her life is the one that enjoys taking them instead.
Watching their story unfold was such an emotional rollercoaster, that I didn't want to get off of. I fell even more in love with all of the characters and I love that all of the characters get more developed, the more we get into the series!!!! I definitely CAN NOT WAIT to see what happens next
I really appreciate a series that the storyline continues throughout the series while concentrating on a specific couple.

Defiance #3
The more I get of the Smirnov Bratva, The more I want!!!
We have seen Freya in the background since book one in this series, but BOY does she shine all on her own in Defiance!!!
Freya is used to doing as she is told by all of the males in her family and that of the Bratva as well.
That is until she has had enough and she shows everyone that she doesn't need anyone but herself, not even her Husband since he always puts his job first.
Viktor Never wanted to be married, he was happy living his life on his and his jobs terms, until it is announced that He will wed the VERY Defiant Freya.
Secrets and Betrayal will have you one the edge of your seat and wanting to throw your reader....
I absolutely loved it and can't wait for more!!!

Dismissed #4
"I want to smack Anton"
Those words left my mouth SEVERAL TIMES while reading Dismissed.
Feisty Heroine.... CHECK
Arrogant PITA Hero.... CHECK CHECK
Hot, shiver inducing Sex..... CHECK CHECK CHECK
Reading this entire series, you see all of the antics of Anton and the love and camaraderie within the Bratva itself. Loved Samara and I also appreciated the love between her and her sister.
T.L gives us stories that you can relate to, She also knows how to rip EVERY emotion out of you and keep you giggling as tears stream down your face!!!

This is one of the most phenomenal series which I have ever read. I was totally captivated throughout. This box set consists of the following novels:-
#1 DISTRUST
This is the first book in a new series from this talented author, and what a great introduction this is! This is Elina and Kazier’s story. Kazier is the son of a Russian mob boss, and Elina is the granddaughter of a rival Italian family. This is a well written story, with complicated and complex characters, which all had me hooked and intrigued throughout. This story is filled with drama, lies, betrayal, love, and is a dark and captivating read.
#2 DISBELIEF
This is the second book in this awesome series, and is Death and Pollie’s story. Pollie is Elina’s best friend, and Death is a member of the Smirnov family as well as their “clean up man”. Pollie is blind and a sweet girl, who senses that there is more to Death than the persona he reveals to others, and when she keeps drawing him into the light my heart broke for Death, as he is so confused and does not understand his feelings towards Pollie. No spoilers though; this is a definite must read, you will not be disappointed! I do suggest reading this series in order to get a better understanding of all of the characters. This is a well written series, which is not for the faint hearted, and is an addictive story throughout. I was totally captivated and intrigued, and I highly recommend this authors’ work for all lovers of a dark and twisted story!

#3 DEFIANCE
This is the 3rd book in this amazing series and is Viktor and Freya’s story. There are fireworks between these two from the start, and Freya has certainly no fear about anything, and she gives as good as she gets. Viktor has his hands full with all of the shenanigans and drama, and Freya makes him work hard at getting her back. I cannot wait to read Anton’s story. This is another amazing story from this talented author, and I was totally hooked and intrigued throughout this captivating page turner.

#4 DISMISSED
This is the 4th book in this phenomenal series, and I can say with all honesty that this is the best series I have ever read! This is Anton and Samara’s story. Anton is the playboy who is not looking for any sort of relationship. Samara works a couple of jobs in order to make money to support her younger sister’s dream. After having a one night stand with Anton, he is baffled when she keeps on rejecting him. I loved all of the secondary characters, and especially Death and Anton’s relationship. No spoilers though; this is a must read, you will certainly not be disappointed! This author has done a brilliant job in writing this series, and I was totally hooked from the very beginning. This story is filled with drama, action, humour, revenge, and love, all which captivated me. I know that this is the final book in this awesome series, but I would love to read more about all these Bratva men and the women who love them!

I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book (given by Hype PR)...

Distrust (Bratva #1)

3.5 stars

HOLY SMOKES THESE PEOPLE ARE DEMENTED. now I have to say this book was really good: had a good plot, solid characters, betrayal and all the good stuff but damn my head hurts. This is not a conventional love story and by that I mean Elina and Kazier are the COMPLETE opposites of flowers and chocolates. Their love is tough, rough, bloody, forbidden and true. It was a good story but I don't feel like we got to see the strong connection between Elina and Kazier mostly because Elina plays ghost for 80% of the book.

I have to say I loved all the friends and family that helped the couple achieve their goals. You don't really know much about Elina until the last 20% of the book, but she's a sweet (for a mobster's daughter) character. I loved Freya and I thought Kazier might be a good fit, but I'm thinking her story belongs with someone else. However, Death (yes that's his name) freaked me out so bad and I felt so bad for poor Pollie. I can't wait to see what comes next for Death and Pollie as well as the rest of family.

Disbelief (Bratva #2)

4 Stars

Well holy smokes Death is deliciously demented but I love him.

We already know the uniqueness of Death and his love of the dead, but Pollie created some chaos in his organized world. Pollie is the calm in the storm of his life, but will his lifestyle put her life in danger?

I loved loved Death and Pollie, she made him human and he made her feel free and loved.

Can't wait to see what's going to happen next with Viktor.

Defiance (Book #3)

4.5 Stars

Well I do believe this is my favorite book of the series. Viktor and Freya are arranged to be married, but unfortunately things don't go according to plan. I loved this book because Viktor makes a huge no-no when it comes to Freya and I mean huge. Freya is not quick to forget the betrayal and is not willing to forgive which leads to some interesting times for everyone.

I'm just going to say it Viktor was a buttmole and he deserved everything he went through in this book and I loved loved that Freya was strong and made him work for her forgiveness.

Now I'm not exactly sure who Anton's love interest will be but it's definitely going to be interesting.

Dismiss (Bratva #4)

4 Stars

I'm so sad that this series is over :( I love my little psycho family and their women.

First I must say this book deals with a sensitive topic.

Now I don't want to give too much away but I loved Sam and I loved the way Anton was obsessed with her. They have a few obstacles to overcome but Anton is not a quitter but he completely nuts.

FYI Anton's sister, Alyona, was major craziness and I loved her!

Very good read!

I was looking for a good MC or Bratva type book to read and came across this one by an author I haven’t read before. I was pleasantly surprised. There are some punctuation issues and sentences written oddly and some things I didn’t quite understand while reading but all in all I enjoyed each story in this book. They all keep you interested and entertained. Kazier and Elina’s story was intriguing since Elina never really hung around. Kazier was to marry Freya but he was completely infatuated with Elina. We get to learn why Elina popped in and out like she did. The entire story was entertaining and interesting. She is a strong woman and perfect for a Pakhan. In my opinion. The guys are crazy! In a normal person’s life they would be considered psychotic really. But entertaining.
I was really looking forward to Death and Pollie’s story. I loved Pollie’s innocent character and how Death took to her. The first time he heard her play her violin was insane. But he did say he would do what he did if he ever felt consumed by a woman. It was a tragic start to their relationship. They both survived and she made him better. I loved the ending.
Viktor and Freya - What a pair! I really did like them together. Freya is a little firecracker. She is deadly but so tiny. I am still very mad at Victor for the trafficking. Kazier too. Jerk!! I loved how Elina and Anton tried stand up for what was right. Freya was dealt so many crappy hands. But she is a survivor and very strong woman. She and Viktor overcame their obstacles and Viktor really did try to win her over. Sin was a great addition. He was a scary dude!
Anton and Samara - I loved loved loved their story. Everyone wants to see the Playboy settle down. Sam and gave him a run for his money. She did not take any of his crap. And he had to fight to get her to be with him. She also had crap hand in life and survived a tragedy in this book. Anton fought his feelings toward her but in the end love won. I loved his joking personality. He made me laugh so many times when interacting with Death and Viktor. Sam and his ending was fantastic! I was so happy for them.
If you like mafia books with crazy men who have no regard for life and love their women fiercely then I highly recommended these books.

Distrust:
I absolutely loved this book. If you like mafia books, this is a must read. I like T.L. writing style, once you start reading Distrust you just can't put it down. Kazier/Freya are to be married. What happens when two people from opposite mafia families fall for each other? Distrust had a twist you didn't see coming. Smirnov Bratva is going to be a good mafia series to read.

Disbelief:
T.L. did it again, this was a great book. Once I started I couldn't put the book down. Wow, Smirnov Bratva series a must read for 2017. I really enjoyed reading about Death and Pollie. Death has his own issues starting from when he was younger. Can Pollie help him to overcome his problems.

Defiance:
What happens when you are forced to marry someone you don't want to be with. This books was a really interesting read. Freya is one strong female add in Viktor and all bets are off.

Dismissed:
Wow, T.L. did it again. I absolutely love reading about the Bratva guys. This writer has a way with her words, that suck you in. Once you start you don't want to put the book down. Love bad boy Anton. He is loyal and dedicated to his brothers. That is until Sam enters the picture. You need to read Dismissed to see what happens with Anton and Sam. The book had me laughing at times, it had a twist or two you didn't see coming.

What a sensational boxset!
Distrust 1
This story is raw and gritty and simply sensational. The characters are painted like a vivid picture only with incredibly descriptive language. Even though the 'monsters', as they are called, truly have evil inside you can't help wanting things to turn out for them.

Disbelief 2
Death is an interesting character! He is absolutely fascinating actually and this story shows us another side of him that we’ve never seen before.

Defiance 3
This story is very aptly named; Defiance is exactly what runs through the story and is woven brilliantly by the author throughout.

Dismissed 4
The sombre and serious elements are threaded throughout as well as some typically gruesome parts but it is a bratva story after all. What balances this story is the sensational humour in the storyline. This is not a book with a roller coaster ride of emotions but more of a merry-go-round as it is smoothly written and is fast paced.

This was a real good mafia read. it has all the elements you would expect from such a read, ranging from violence, protectiveness, love, action, loads of steam and as a bonus, humor is added in.

Each book is written from a dual pov that is always a plus in my opinion as we get to know each main character a bit more on a personal note. The heroes are ruthless but even more so when it comes to the women they love. The heroines are not weak little woman and can stand up for themselves (although Pollie is a sweetie).

My favorite books of the series would have to be Disbelief (Death and Pollie) and Dismissed (Anton and Samara). I love how the silent and seemingly heartless Death becomes a different person around Pollie and how Anton the humorous playboy "crashed" for Samara.

The series does contain a few triggers but I loved every bit.

Wow...This series is one of absolute favorites now. From the head of the family Kazier and his mystery woman to the one who they call Death himself and his sweet sweet Pollie to the second highest ranking forced to marry the mafia princess to the playboy who finally finds a his striking match. This Mafia box set had it all and yes I've read them all back to back and definitely want more.
Each and every book takes you on a roller coaster ride and yes there's drama, action as all the boys are ruthless and don't even realize when love hits them hard. Loved loved this serirs.💖💖💖💖

A very good series with bad guys who although their seriousness in the business never really emotionally grown up and confronted with love deliciously run off the rails.

Wonderfully written, a comprehensible development of personalities, lovable characters, serious themes and credible fiction interwoven with a little fun and a smile - a really recommendable entertainment to enjoy at a stretch!

Loved it

This is the first time I read this author and I have to say it was awsome! Expect me to go and buy all of their books. This book was funny scary and a very good read. I wish there was a spin off from this book so I could hear about some of the girls brothers. Even a little update from all the characters because you made it so real that I hated to end the book . Hot and Hillarious

This series of the Bravta Boys was not always an easy read. The characters were violent mafia members with a touch of humanity. Their world is filled with violence, humor and love. The author was able to thread the needle and then weave those three strands into an enjoyable story.

Very good

These books contain sensitive subject matter and graphic sex scenes so if you are bothered by this type of material these books are not for you. The characters are very well developed and while not always likable, they are interesting. I found it difficult to stop reading once I started.

Smirnov Bratva #1-4 is a good read. Very dark and gritty. I love Mafia books. Especially when the big bad Mafia guys fall hard for their women and become all growly and protective.

Bratva Boys does not disappoint. Each book has its own story and is very entertaining. I loved that each character was different, yet each book stayed true to the Bratva story.

Great reads all around.

OMG i loved this series. the characters were real, i was wrapped into the story and couldn't put it down. i was so sad when it ended. you have to write for about the Smirnov boys & the remarkable women hat come into their lives.
