After reading Unshatter Me and loving it, I had to read Broken Ties.
Damn, does CJ Allison know how to pick a cover model! Both books have gorgeous covers. The model’s look fits the main character to a T.
I loved the ‘fate/everything happens for a reason’ message that was threaded throughout the book. It is my mantra as well and resonated with me as I read.
Every woman should have a Kaden. He was so sweet and attentive. All of the men in this series might be haunted and broken, but they stay gentlemen. The women are strong and independent. I like that.
I so hope Willow and Sporto get a book.

Loved Alyse and Kaden!

On wow! Broken Ties really touched my heart. The way you wrote this spoke to my heart. I fell in love with Kaden. There was just something about him that grabbed me. You made him so realistic and believable. Alyse and Kaden complemented each other so well. Waiting with bated breath for #3!

Fate

Kaden was passing through when he stopped at Alyse's diner. Alyse never did the one night stand thing but this gorgeous man in her diner is driving her hormones crazy. When he leaves the next morning he leaves more than a note. Amazing story of two strangers falling in love with the help of fate

I really like this book. It is a story that is so realistic. This happened to one of the guys in my nephews Unit. Couldn't put it down. I whole heartedly believe in Fate. I also believe when you know you know. Can't wait to read more of this series

CJ Allison knows how to write a story! I loved this one too. A military romance, a one night stand, turned to a romance that was unbelievable. Still more PTSD in this book but we have love that cures everything!

A heartfelt story about a man who doesn't think he's lovable and a woman who got swept off her feet as soon as he walked into her diner.

And I did think it could get better than book one of this series, but boy was I wrong. I absolutely fell in Love with Alyse and Kaden. Kaden is one of the men from Bryce's Unit ( book one), who felt lost after a major accident amongst his unit. One day he wondered into the right gas station/ diner, and as fate would have it he found Alyse. This is an amazing love story of two somewhat quirky, nerdy, and sexy people. This book and series is a must read. With every new book CJ Allison's writing and stories continue to improve. Check out this book, You won't be sorry.

DNF

I wanted to like this book but i couldn't even make it to halfway.
The writing is so disjointed. It switches POVs, the writing is in present tense but the story bounces between the past, present day, present day months before then back to present day without any warnings, breaks or indications.
It is confusing and took away from the story so much i didn't even want to keep ready.
Major editing required.
