Ryder Silverman: Thanks to the supposed gypsies, the men in my family become caveman when they find their soulmates. Over the past few years, I've watched my cousin's and uncle drop like flies and make fools of themselves. From observing their stupidity with their women, I thought I would know how to woo and get the love of my life to fall for me when the time came. If the time came. I'd given up on ever finding my "one" until my brother and cousin messed up and I came face to face with my destiny, Divinity Stamon. She is different than anyone I've ever met before, so allowing her to do this at her pace and not mine seemed like the perfect plan. But the "caveman" in me isn't happy with this choice. It is only a matter of time before he takes over and claims her. Divinity Stamon: It's hard looking after my younger brother while my dad is deployed. Especially when I get called to the Emergency Department because he's been in a fight. I never dreamed that our trip to the hospital would bring me face to face with the hottest guy I'd ever seen. If first impressions were anything to go on, I wasn't impressed with Ryder Silverman. The second meeting wasn't any better. He is the most annoying and obnoxious man I've ever met, and being around alpha military men my whole life, I know annoying men. He thinks he can come into my life and take over. I'm not having it. But his persistence, patience, and his attention to my every - need, is paying off. Maybe cavemen aren't as bad as I thought.
I’m a mother of four. I started writing down my story ideas in high school, and never really stopped. Writing, I have to say, is my salvation. After I've gotten all the kids in bed and have cleaned up, I sit at my computer or sometimes a notebook with a pencil, and relax, write, and escape. I love the base of this story- a gypsy curse that turns a man into a caveman when he finds his mate. I mean, what's not to love? It gives an all access pass to OTT antics by the heroes. One question I have was unanswered- there was some implying that someone from the police force was involved, but nothing came of It- or did I miss It?
-no cheating or ow/om drama -some pushing away by heroine -some violence but not of a sexual nature -neither were virgins -just ok epilogue
I liked this one a lot more than the other 3. Ryder was awesome and that perfect OTT alpha I love and Divinity was strong and sassy without being too brash and so independent she "didn't need a man". She accepted Ryder almost right away. I have to say though, her father was a complete and utter asshole with a capital A. I hated how he treated Ryder. I also think he was portrayed as being very strict, stern and almost abusive but then portrayed a bit differently later on. It was confusing.
I wanted to rate this higher but couldn't for 2 reasons. One, I hated that her father was the "hero" instead of Ryder and how he and his friends treated Ryder during it. Ryder was an alpha male and that was his woman so I expected him to be a little more involved and have the connections he needed to rescue her and to not take shit from her father. Second, all the editing issues...missing words, repeated words within just a few sentences, misspellings etc. I really noticed it as I read.
That being said, this was by far the best as far as the main characters and I did enjoy it. I loved the little snippets of POV from the other heroines in the back.
So another Silverman has fallen under the gypsies curse... the curse that makes the Silverman men go absolutely crazy alpha possessive over their mate.
""You're mine forever," he said. "I won't give you up. Tell me you're mine. Tell me you're going to love me.""
So the story itself I enjoyed. Anyone who know me knows I love a crazy alpha male... Divinity was as expected for a heroine in this series. She fought Ryder a bit and there was some push and pull but eventually she gave in to the hunky Silverman.
I don't usually complain about the odd typos or grammar issues in books. But it was seriously getting on my nerves in this book... there were so many mistakes!!! It was driving me crazy how many editing issues there were, especially because it took forever for this book to release. I thought the long anticipation was due to the story being primed and edited to perfection. Clearly not... There was even a scene where Bailey was talking about how alpha Stephen gets with her and I was like wait... you're with RICHARD! Jade is with Stephen!! WTF!!! Did no one read through this stuff?!
Anyhow, an overall decent read!
Ryder - 32 years old, celibate for 1 year Divinity - 21 years old, not a virgin (no details on her past given)
I always devour this series, and with Ryder was no different. I loved Ryder as a H, with how sweet and caring of Divinity he was, and how independent and strong she was herself, but unfortunately I had major issues with the editing and some inconsistency and repetitions that detracted from fully enjoying the book, and were very distracting. Though I loved Divinity's strength, she came across as a bit irritating, Ryder really had a lot of patience with her, lol! Ryder himself I'm sad to say wasn't as Caveman as I expected him to be, sure, it's explained why he opted for this strategy, but his lack of the crazy OTT alpha I love in this family, were kind of enhanced by Divinity's father stealing his thunder, and being the truly hero... Sigh... Don't get me wrong, I still enjoyed the hell out of it, and it remains one of my fav series, so much so that I'm counting down the days for the next Caveman! <3 <3 <3
Ryder Silverman has heard the story of the gypsy curse that haunts his family. Those lucky enough find their soulmate, those not never find her. Ryder doesn't expect to find Divinity Stamon when he takes his cousins to get medical attention Ryder lets Divinity know she is his but the hot tempered beauty has no problem putting him in his place. Ryder realizes he is going to have to give Divinity time to get her to understand the pull she feels towards him but in the meantime he has to do what he can to keep her protected.
Divinity thinks Ryder is crazy but there is something about the man that has him constantly in her thoughts. Raised by an alpha male can she let another one in her life, even though she promised herself to find a man who is opposite?
I can't make up my mind if this one or Stephan is my favorite. I loved this, completely devoured it. Ryder is pure alpha man and has met his match in Divinity. Every character stood out in this book and it was a wild ride to the finish. Excellent.
"Ryder" is book 3 in Caveman series, (technically book 4 if you count Carl), and the story of Ryder and Divinity. Ryder is a detective, in his 30s and just started believing in the Caveman curse, although skeptical- when during the birth of Bailey's daughter he comes across Divinity and his world is turned. From there we have the typical heroine who resists, and a hero who is obsessively crazy with all the chest thumping and "mine". Slowly the devotion works and Divinity starts reciprocating the feelings. What I loved about this book was having a kickass heroine! Even when she was kidnapped, she fought till the end- not just waiting for the hero to rescue her. She was a responsible army kid, who still had her girly side. Ryder on the other hand was a typical alpha Caveman hero- but I loved how he "tried" to atleast respect her boundaries- and him groveling after her rescue was just too cute. A special noteworthy mention to the puppy proposal and Dr Who references-LOVED THEM! My only tiny pet peeve is the grammatical errors and OTT aussie references (yes I had to look some up)- but overall it was an amazing book to read and kept me engaged. Really liked the sweet ending, epilogue and bonus chapters. Safe 4.5/5
The h sucked; she was sassy, giggled, rolled her eyes, and cursed a lot. When she is attacked, she cries that her clothes and shoes are ruined. I didn't get how the other wives were immediately sharing so much information with her. I mean how many times do you have to say that your mother-in-laws take care of your babies? Then the whole part with the h's dad going all Rambo, what was that? Plus, the H mentions several times that he is very wealthy and doesn't have to work. Geez, we get it! This book was a hot mess. Such a shame since the premise of this series is my favorite.
I LOVE this series. I have been itching to get my hands on Ryder’s story for what feels like forever. I liked that although Ryder was full on alpha, he also tried to take it slow with Divinity. I liked the chemistry between Divinity and Ryder. I liked them as a couple. I adored Divinity. I loved her sassiness and kick ass attitude. The danger in this book kept me on the edge of my seat. I was eager to see what would happen to Divinity. I cannot wait for more books from this series. I have read the previous books of this series more than ten times. I can already say that this book will also be on of the books I read over and over again. The storyline for this book is easy to follow and an enjoyable read.
The story was good, but the book needed a proofreader. Misspelled words(closest for closet, loud for load), wrong people married(Bailey married to Stephan), missing words in sentences. Usually it doesn't bother me, but there was so many it was a little distracting. In spite of those, I enjoyed the book. I'm eagerly waiting for Dustan and Cassie's story.
Ryder Silverman oh those Silverman men! Ryder is a caveman but the kind who plans everything he might not go over the top but he has a certain way of being over the top. Divinity Stamon takes care of her younger brother when their dad is deployed. When her younger brother gets into a fight with other Silverman cousins Ryder shows up but one look at her and he knows shes it. Like all the women they fight the caveman but sooner or later they start to break down the walls and are all in. I love this series I need more of the family.

Seriously! How does this series get better? I was positive it would never be as good as Richard or Stephan. Even Carl was excellent. But Ryder? My favorite. Hands down. Why? Well wait until you meet Divinity. She is amazing! A tough, independent, loving it sister and loyal daughter. By the way her father, Eric? Dude is CRAZY! Love this one. Can t wait for the next one. Love this series. Just a note. You really need to read this series in order to fully appreciate this installment
I love this series and couldn't wait to get my hands on this book, it didn't disappoint. I loved Ryder, I think he's my favourite so far! My only criticism is that the book had a few misspelled words, words missing and had Stephen with Bailey. It usually wouldn't bother me but it happened quite a few times., I still enjoyed the book but it was a bit distracting. I loved the extra chapter at the back and I can't wait for the next book in the series.
Absolutely loved this book, it was amazingly written, with chatecters you fall in love with. I love an alpha male with a sassy strong headed women story that has romance and suspense around every corner!
Enjoyable although it is way over the top in lots of different aspects. I liked Ryder, I found it harder to relate to Divinity though. You would definitely benefit from reading the rest of the series first.
I loved this book. It was a great balance between "He-man Alpha" and sweet romance. You get enough information in the story that you don't have to read all the others in the series, though I would recommend that you should as it makes the most sense that way.
