This is a beautiful book on the Dominican Republic! It includes the geography, history, natural resources, economy, and culture of the country. It's good for research, with its index, fast facts, and timeline, as well!

A child's book but really good coverage of history, foods, wildlife, etc.
I read because hopefully going there in August.
Gave me a lot more info than travel guides.
