There really is nothing like a bad boy to awake the naughty girl inside of you...
It was supposed to be a one-time thing. A steamy hook-up with a hot biker, something to cross off her bucket list. Abby never expected him to fulfill so many of her fantasies, and when the bad boy turns out to be charming as hell, it's not that easy to walk away. The culture shock that awaits her as she steps into his world puts a strain on their unconventional relationship, and Abby isn't sure her heart will remain intact when their time together inevitably comes to an end. Because one thing becomes clearer with every day passing Life in a motorcycle club is not for everyone. Especially when it puts a target on your back...
This steamy stand-alone explores the raunchy parts of an MC romance. Expect some very explicit scenes, a dirty talking alpha male, and plenty of humor.
Cynthia Ayman lives in Belgium with a spin bike that she hasn't used in months. She loves stories that make you laugh, cry, gasp, and pace around the dining table because you don't know how to deal with all the emotions.
Romantic comedies and raunchy romances are what she prefers, especially if there is a swoon-worthy alpha male thrown into the mix.
The Old-Fashioned Way was her debut novel. She is currently writing Ben's story (one of the secondary characters). She also started an MC series, The Last Sinners. Wild Side is definitely on the steamy side, with plenty of humor. If you enjoy your male character a little on the bad boy side, with a weakness for the good girl, it might be just for you ;)
I loved this book! It was an easy read. The storyline was solid and you can't help but love the characters. I found myself cracking up through out this book. Though it's an MC book it isn't a dark read. It has alot of whit to it. The book leaves you longing for more of the other characters mentioned in the book and I hope the series continues so we can read their stories. I definitely recommend this book and I can't wait to read more
When Abby's car breaks down in a small town when she is on her (reluctant) way to a wedding, she meets hot biker Apa/Aaron (the name will be explained later). The two have a very hot one-night-stand but meet again at said wedding and continue their sexy encounters.
Of course Abby realizes she and Apa are not really compatible as she is not into the MC life so they go their separate ways. They do meet again however (because Apa arranges it) and Abby, down on her luck when her bakery has to close, temporarily moves in with Apa at the MC house.
I am not an MC lover; I always try to avoid them a bit. I have read some by Kristen Ashley but I think they tend to be too rough and/or crude and not really romantic. However, I loved the story of Abby and Apa so much! That's why I am happy I took a chance after reading the first book of this author.
I felt the same as Abby when she was confronted with club girls, Friday night parties and public sex... uncomfortable. But Apa was so sweet and understanding and never forced anything on Abby at all. He respected her wishes and her points of view and expected nothing from her. And Abby did her best to respect the way of life of the club. Truth be told I still prefer the non-MC scene but the love story was yummy.
What I loved: The humor of the story. There were so many funny lines or interactions. The writing style is pleasant, the story flows. Apa and Abby are a great couple and well-suited. I laughed at Abby's thoughts about the MC, totally based on what she read in romances. But she stayed true to herself. I thought she was a strong woman. And Apa/Aaron immediately knew Abby was special and was sweet and sexy.
'He might look like a biker, talk like a biker and walk like a biker, Aaron is the definition of boyfriend material.'
Overall this was a very pleasant reading experience and I look forward to more in this series. I loved the author's first book 'The old-fashioned way' but this book was more humorous and snarky. Well done.
The author gifted me an ARC of this book but I liked it so much I bought my own copy!
DNF. This was a different read from the author's first book (if you want to consider that a compliment I suppose you could), but what didn't change was the dull and wooden characters, only this time they came with a side of doormat and asshole.
This Sesame Street MC 'gang' is as interesting as dish water. The hero of the story is supposed to be a misunderstood bad boy but the reality is he's the same old asshole who treats the woman like crap, in this case using her to get back at some guy for marrying an ex? Honestly I'm not even sure if that was the plot. There is no real redemption or understanding for him. Doormat is just happy to be there.
I've read better smut written on bathroom stalls. I understand it wasn't love to start with it so I didn't expect intimacy, but there wasn't any raw, insatiable passion either.
Writing wise, the internal voices for both were verging on childish and I was waiting for one of them to find farts funny. I had a lot of issue with the flow of words; they didn't.
Again I seem to be reading a different story than the other reviewers here.
This was the first book by Cynthia that I had the pleasure of reading. It was a wonderful surprise. Just what I needed as I was deep in a book funk and I was desperate to get out.
This was lighthearted. Fun. Sexy. It had humor, snark and heart. I loved it. It's probably a solid 4 star book but honestly I enjoyed it so much I thought it deserved the extra star. Both the MC's were solid characters with enough depth to make the story round out nicely. I enjoyed the little drama's that were introduced as well. Apa was so swoony. Man he was a lot naughtier than I was expecting but I ate it up like pizza on a cheat day. Abby was also a lovely character. I loved her strength.
What I appreciated most was Abby was a curvy gal. And guess what?! We didn't have to be put through the age old "I'm fat. My ass is too big. My boobs are too big." insecurities that plague any girl who isn't a size six in these romance books. THANK YOU JESUS. It is such a pet peeve for me and I hate it so much I usually avoid any books that outright admit to a curvy/BBW for their MC for this reason. Almost always the same lame inner monologuing of insecurities plague those books and you have to squint to find the real story as they almost always take over the story and it's silly.
Thankfully Abby did not have this issue. She was strong and knew her own self worth. She was confident but not enough that the interest from a down to earth hottie like Apa wouldn't boost her confidence as their relationship progressed. I personally loved that he not only boosted her confidence by their connection and his appreciation for her beauty and curves but because even he acknowledged how her confidence had grown while he helped her get back on her feet with her bakery and in their relationship. He simply supported her and was a strong presence for her when she needed it. It was sweet.
Truly, just read it. It's a dirty, snarky, hilarious heartfelt romp. Loved it. Hopefully we get a full Last Sinners MC series in the future!
Apa/Aaron & Abby are a really great way to start a new MC series
I really loved the symmetry between Aaron & Abby! Wild Side wasn't a traditional MC story but that wasn't important ; what was incredible was the nuances of the characters & the way so many of the brothers responded to Abby & Aaron's relationship. Hopefully response tothis new book will mean a series will develop further & while Cynthia Ayman wants to write Lee's story, I hope Sly will be the third book.
Abby and Apa meet by chance, have a HOT one night stand and go their separate ways. Only to end up at the same wedding of two people they both dislike. This is a funny, romantic read.
Apa and Abby's journey is surprisingly sweet and wonderfully written to make you invested in their story. Cynthia's writing is hilariously entertaining and relatable. Unlike other books, I have read this multiple times and have found it better upon each reading. Highly recommend even if you don't like MCs, I think this story might change your mind. I received an ARC, and liked it so much I bought a copy.
This book was an unexpected pleasant surprise for me since I’m not into biker stories, and I don’t think it will ever be my go to stuff. But I liked Ayman’s previous work so I gave it a try and I was not disappointed. Despite bikers environment, the story keeps a light tone and has a lot of funny and sweet moments. But it’s still bikers story, so... the hot stuff is really hot. ;) I hope this one makes it into series, because I’d love to see some other guys from the club to find their “old ladies”, too. :)
Congratulations Cynthia on a great book. I loved it. I usually like my MC books on the darker side but this was a nice relaxing read. Loved the shower scene. Can't wait for Lee's book. Hope your planning on a book for Reece a one for Bear.
A one night stand Might not end in a one night stand.. Apa and Abby thought it was a one-time thing one-time meeting but little what they know they are going to be at the same wedding of some people they really don't like lol
this wasn't dark like in many MC books I've read which was okay. as for Apa and Abby sometimes I did wanna smack Apa for his "labeling" like what are you two? Stop your bs and claim your girl!! hilarious moments and some angsty times.. I am interested in some other brothers in this series!! Lee or maybe Sly
angst, drama, ow drama I took a star off cuz I don't like my guys screwing around with ow once they find their girl..
and well Apa implied/mentioned (pov) was getting head from a club girl when abby and him went their separate ways after the wedding. (There weekend of fun.. blah) And the ow is causing problems.. secondary chara, steamy sex, no virgin!!!
Recommend- maybe Cover-⭐⭐⭐⭐
Slow burn Safe read public sex (not abby and apa) hea epilogue

I absolutely loved this book!. I received an advance copy and I got to say I was pleasantly surprised. First, the book is easy to read, this is mostly due because you really engage with the characters and the pace of the books makes you want to read it at once.
I was not familiar with the MC genre and I think this book was the perfect introduction, because even though it maintains a lot of the elements of the genre is not that rough and the romantic elements are there (and in perfect amount).
What I liked the most about the book is the main characters, Abby and Aaron. She is a bit of a girl next door but with an edge and he is the mystery guy that calls everyone’s attention. The characters are very well develop and you can really get into theirs heads. In the book circumstances put them together and chemistry does it job, but one important point is that this becomes more not only because of their chemistry together but because she, open herself to experience and feel something new to her, she takes the chance, and him, he opens himself to more and change his world. The journey they embark is fun, sexy, angsty and challenging.
This was a very good reading, and I would love to read more about the characters. The author does a great job in this book and shows that she can write for different genres but still she is able to maintain her style of writing and characterization .
Where had this author been all my life? Sweet lord. Everything about this book was perfect. The characters, the storyline, the secondary characters. Hell, there was steam galore but perfectly balanced within the story.
I was able to grow with the characters and watch them fall in love. There was humor in the story that is not often seen in an MC romance. Abby and her shiny squirrel moments where her mind strays and thinks all the thoughts had me dying at times. Apa, sweet lord this man was cocky but he deserved to be. He wasn't a jerk or dominating and i n this case it worked for him. He might be one of my favorite MC BBFs out there.
Normally, people think dark when they think MC. This doesn't have to be the case. The author made it legit without the darkness. She found the balance and it was so good. I like that there is a hint of it going darker in future stories depending on the backstory of the characters.
I've got a new one-click author. I need more people to discover her, about her name from the rooftops, send out a carrier pigeon, just do something because I need this series to continue.
As the heading says, this isn’t a typical MC romance. It’s light and sweet with just a hint of dark. The rough side of MC to make it titillating, but easy enough to feel accessible. The best of both worlds, really.
Only two things I’d change. The entire time she’s in Edmond there’s barely any mention that’s she’s talking to her best friend. It doesn’t feel authentic. If I disappeared to have rabbit sex with a virtual stranger for months in a different city, there would be almost daily conversation with mine. I would have also liked it to have at least one of the sex scenes include food. Abby’s narrations mention them a couple times, so it’d be nice to actually see it.
Really liked this book. I haven’t read a book like this before, where the storyline flowed and you enjoy and really get the characters developments.
I’m not usually a MC reader but I enjoyed Cynthia’s past work so thought I would give this a go, and I wasn’t disappointed. Feel completely in Love with Aaron and Abby ‘s relationship.
If you want a fun mc book then read this book. Abby is a funny, straight laced baker and Apa is the wild biker. Abby can't help but be drawn to Apa when she sees him. I mean who can blame the girl. Everyone loves a hot biker. This book had all the romance, laughs, and serious moments you want in a book. I hope we will get a second book in this mc.
I truly enjoyed read Abby & Ana’s story. This was a softer MC story with well developed characters & some laughed along the way. There are characters that will definitely have more intense stories, but I am looking forward to it! :: looking at Sly:: If you are considering this new author, do it! The story is solid.
I love MC books..I loved Abby she's so funny..I loved Apa he's so yummy.. I LOVED this book!!!!New author to me!I hope we'll see more of these bikers!!
I waffled between 3 and 4 stars since I've basically already re-read it and I only first read it like 2-3 days ago... (time is hard when you only sleep ~2-4 hours a day and are perpetually exhausted) ... but anyway, this book is HOT.
It unfortunately falls victim to something I noticed in Ayman's other books, so I was prepared for it - but the typos. Man, the typos. (Or the editing? Both obviously but ...) and... *eyeroll + glare* pretty sure this is the book I read in July that misspells "whoa" :|
BUT! Oh - and ... I mean obviously I don't know much about "outlaw MCs" or MCs in general, but a smidge of it kinda seemed like ... "hey this is what I learned from SOA/other MC romances" - or there was a lot of "nudge nudge wink wink I'm a biker and this is how we do so this is what happens" so a little bit of a crutch there... And of course the ~deceptive beginning ... Although they were meant to be a one night stand...
Apa [hah]/Aaron and Abby ... just work. When Abby thinks to herself she's "catching feelings" - gah. It got me.
Aaron is the one who isn't being honest with himself ... and I liked how Abby kept trying to remind herself this was supposed to just be a temporary hookup, and her plans and such.
They talk and are really open, and yet aren't - which fits the "we're just hooking up" - Aaron is the one who is kinda messed up because he gets in his feelings but then also is too scared to commit and ... it's just interesting and well written and I enjoyed it. [And holy cow the sex they have.]
Abby's holy shit bitchy cousin O_o
I actually really liked ~all the other bikers - I'd LOVE to read Lee and/or Reese's stories. :P Aaron is also too possessive but ... >.> woulda been nice if Abby'd have experienced her threesome, not that it was something she was gunning for, but since HE brought it up and was so nonchalant... a) it'd be super hot b) I'm mean so I'd love to have seen how Aaron dealt with his feelings on THAT.
I was kinda ... <.< about Abby being like "ok sure I'll just go with you" O_O like. Friend. ... FRIEND. But she does kinda freak out once she arrives, and it WAS the ~lowest day of her life and she does essentially say "but for all this shit I'd never be doing this ever" [sidenote I'm not quite sure why they "have" to/do tell Abby's parents he's in a gang? Although maybe they aren't as transparent but it kinda seems like they were?]
I love that Abby isn't a pushover, and Aaron is really quite sweet. When he talks about his time in the service. That really gets you, and the why he joined with the club, etc. [Also I love baker heroines. And heroes. I mean, hashtag: goals, right? :P]
... I'm also mean so I think Pinkie gets it too easy. Like, seriously. [And before even the major stuff I LOVE that Abby almost leaves. ... :| I DON'T love the like random/overly stupid she spouts. I absolutely get taking the KitchenAid. But the "I would probably die in a fire, running back to get my vibrator or something./ Don't judge. It's a beast with seven different speeds, a rotative mode, *and* a special little thing for my clitoris." :| I get it's supposed to be funny and whatever but I don't know why it annoyed me. - Maybe it was the detail or the wide eyed "it's so special" I DON'T KNOW, OK? The ~two paragraphs just meh'd me on her a tiny bit. The first one itself I think would've been funny to me because OBVIOUSLY she's joking. [Right? >.>]
The humor - "the supreme honor" and just ... there was a lot I liked here. How Lee and Poe are so great ... it's almost "two worlds" - like she's really a tourist ... I don't ... I guess I didn't/don't really thing about the "after" - although they do move and anyway the going back to the bar is so CUTE ... and gosh I can see me re-reading this book a lot more. In fact I think I like it more than the other two Ayman books - and I really hope she writes/publishes more soon.
Changed it from 3 stars to 4.
B- or C++ at the last. There's some eye rolling stereotyping and such, but ... the developing relationship between Aaron and Abby... the great secondary characters, the humor, emotion, the lip biting chemistry ... it's definitely a perfect fun summer read. (And maybe I'm just too exhaustedly giddily sentimental. Whatever.)
