A bit disappointed with this story.
There were some scenes with hero and OW, for us, romance books readers, it's not necessary.
I wish the MCs were more brave and strong.
They were both tip toeing around each other for weeks.

Carino e scorrevole, molto, sicuramente migliore del primo. Melrose è sempre stata innamorata del suo migliore amico Nick e quando lui decide di partire per un tour chiede a Melrose di diventare la coinquilina di Sutter al suo posto perché lui non può permettersi di pagare l’affitto per 6 mesi. Melrose decide di accettare e così inizia la convivenza con Sutter, all’inizio i due non si sopportano ma è un attimo a diventare attrazione...
Sutter mi è piaciuto tantissimo 😍 poi non avevo mai incontrato un elettricista nei libri, di solito siamo abituati a leggere di attori, musicisti, manager etc quindi una boccata d’aria diversa e molto piacevole, poi il modo di prendersi cura di Tucker suo fratello 😍, adoro queste persone buone.
L’epilogo meraviglioso ❤️. Per me ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

3 stars for the book. 0.5 stars for like able characters which is so hard to achieve these days apparently.
Solid read. First read by this author, will check out her work for sure.I'd recommend this to anyone looking for a light fun read , with an enemies-to-lovers who are also roommates trope.
H & h are both wonderful lovable people. No triggers. Absolutely safe.
Sutter is book boyfriend material, Melrose is gal pal material.
Go for it , if you're tired of skimming your Goodreads feed and can't find anything interesting and are in a dnf zone.
I know this is not how you praise a book, but you know it's a repeated plot. You know what to expect. But obviously there's a few things different/new. A trope's a trope though.

This was a cute read. However, it didn’t give me the feels like P.S. I Hate You. All wasn’t lost though, because this is was a hate to love romance and I did enjoy it!
Melrose is an aspiring actress who just happens to be in love with her best friend Nick. Thinking Nick is going to profess his feelings, she instead finds out that he wants her to take over his lease while he goes on tour for 6 months. Her new roommate? Sutter Alcott.
I didn’t know what to think of Sutter at in the beginning. He was a bit of an ass at first and I was unsure if he would be able to redeem himself in my eyes. Thank goodness he did and it was honestly due to seeing him with his brother Tucker. Tucker was hands down my favorite character in this whole book. He is Sutter's younger brother who happens to be deaf and he was a pure sweetheart!
Melrose shocked me. I didn’t expect to like her as much as I did. She was sassy, feisty, and never backed down from Sutter and his antics. The main quality I liked about her the most was that even though she came from a family of wealth, they didn’t pay her way through life and she didn't expect them to.
The relationship between Melrose and Sutter started off rocky at first, however, there was sexual tension from the very beginning! We got to read about these two giving in to the chemistry between them and figuring out that they both judged the other in the beginning.
I couldn’t rate it higher because it didn’t give me the feels that I was expecting. If I didn't come into this one with expectations or after reading P.S. I Hate You, then it could have easily gotten a higher rating from me.
All in all, this one was cute and steamy and I highly recommend if you are a fan of hate to love romances!

I love this author's style and plot, but her books almost always end so abruptly as if in a rush. WHY?
I can't imagine there is a word limit.
While the enemies to lovers plot line and initial pacing was well done, I huffed out disbelief when all of a sudden the hero makes a 360 and decides to go for it.

That blurb had a second chance feel to it, I didn't think it would also be a enemies with benefits too. Enemies is a stretch since they do butt heads and tried to best one another and the tension is noticeable. Melrose is Sutter's new housemate, as her favor to a friend. Preconceived idea about the other and judgments made it awkward. Melrose reminds Sutter of an ex that burnned him badly, Sutter reminds Melrose of a young frat boy.
While they bicker and can't stand each other, the sparks are there and the attraction is definitely heating up. Getting to know each other better, they see past the surface layers, both are more than they show. They danced around their feelings and there's little stuff that got in the way. I like how Sutter becomes gradually more softer, also good brother Melrose comes to terms with her confused feelings too.
So I know this is part of a series which also sounds good whose characters make an appearance here so will back track. All in all PS I miss you was sweet and sexy, low angst. I enjoyed reading this, the author writes interesting plots. This has a hint of the possible next books in Aerin and Tucker.

Melrose per fare un favore al suo migliore amico, che parte in tournée, accetta di condividere l'appartamento con Sutter, non immaginando che si troverà davanti a una persona diversa da quella descrittagli da Nick, dov'è il ragazzo tranquillo e gentile, forse sommerso da un cumulo di pregiudizi? Una storia passata porta Sutter a diffidare di Melrose, i dispetti tra loro saranno all'ordine del giorno, l'attrazione pure, uno dei due dovrà fare un passo indietro e sotterrare l'ascia di guerra, e dovranno guardare oltre l'apparenza e imparare a conoscersi... Una storia carina e fresca, divertente che ho divorato in poche ore...

Melrose deve il suo nome a una serie televisiva famosa anni '90, Melrose Place, arrivata anche da noi in Italia, nella sua famiglia si respira cinema e recitazione, la nonna Gloria è un'attrice famosa ed è anche la sua persona preferita al mondo.
A Los Angeles cerca di sbarcare il lunario con una gavetta indipendente e lontana dalla ricchezza e dal nome di una famiglia un po' ingombrante, costretta a convivere con un perfetto estraneo si porta dietro il suo carlino Murphy e tutti i dubbi per una cotta adolescenziale che forse sta raggiungendo il capolinea.
Si ritroverà a fare i conti con un sexy elettricista, così lontano dal suo mondo ma così vicino ai suoi pensieri, talvolta sconci e talvolta irrequieti perché lui è insopportabile e così difficile da avvicinare.

La odia quando canta a squarciagola sotto la doccia e la odia ancora di più quando accetta l'appuntamento di un produttore un po' attempato che ha dubbi secondi fini, lei è così ingenua o forse è semplicemente la classifica ragazza disposta a tutto per una parte importante.

Le lettere non sono al centro del loro conoscersi ma quei mi manchi e quei post-it sparsi nell'appartamento sono molto emblematici, un triangolo a un certo punto prende forma con risvolti inaspettati che danno un'accelerata alla narrazione.
Ho adorato Sutton anche se il suo pregiudizio nei confronti di Melrose mi ha fatto innervosire, in fondo è una persona dolce che si prende cura delle persone a cui tiene, ha sofferto molto e il suo passato con un presente ingombrante saranno al centro di chiarimenti tra i due protagonisti e un riavvicinamento sarà inevitabile.
Melrose è un po' impacciata e forse un po' troppo sfortunata, sia per la sua debole carriera lavorativa che per la sua quasi inesistente vita amorosa ma riesce a tenere testa a Sutton ed è proprio lui il suo punto di svolta, finalmente.

Buongiorno colleghe lettrici, come state trascorrendo le vostre vacanze? Spero in compagnia di tanti bei romanzi. Io sono rimasta particolarmente intrigata dalla trama di P. S. MI MANCHI di Winter Renshaw pubblicato questo mese dalla Newton. La protagonista è Melrose un'aspirante attrice che finora si è accontentata di ruoli secondari in attesa del successo. Lei è da sempre innamorata del suo migliore amico Nick, fondatore di una band, la 'Melrose Nights'. Si! Nick ha dato alla sua band il nome della sua migliore amica! Entrambi sono figli d’arte ma da sempre hanno condiviso la voglia di riuscire a sfondare con le sole proprie forze.
Il racconto inizia con una strana telefonata ricevuta da Melrose, proprio dal suo migliore amico, nella quale lui le anticipa di doverle confessare qualcosa. Melrose crede che finalmente anche Nick abbia iniziato a guardarla con occhi diversi…. Quello che sicuramente non si aspettava di scoprire è che Nick sta per partire per un importante tour, quello che forse finalmente lo porterà sulla strada del tanto atteso successo, e vuole accollarle le spese del suo contratto di affitto con coinquilino annesso, da vero taccagno qual è. Che la fredda e cinica star hollywoodiana Melrose, così come la crede Sutter, non riesca a mostrare il suo cuore compassionevole? E chissà che Melrose non si accorga che quello che credeva essere l'amore della sua vita sia solo una stupida cotta adolescenziale? Ma avrà il coraggio Sutter di confessare cosa prova a chi è da sempre innamorata del suo migliore amico? Una lettura molto piacevole e scorrevole tra continui alti e bassi e incredibili scoperte. I continui botta e risposta tra Melrose e Sutter sono esilaranti! Credo che quella sia la parte decisamente più affascinante del romanzo. Molto toccante però, anche il passato di Sutter, lui è un personaggio molto empatico. Non ho apprezzato invece molto la figura di Nick , forse un po’ insipida..ma d'altronde è una rockstar un po’ sui generis. Bello e originale l'epilogo. Debbo dire però che anche se vi consiglio la lettura di questo romanzo, credo che gli manchi un po’ di pathos, cioè mi è piaciuto ma non è riuscito a catturarmi completamente. Baci booklovers, Lorena

MI MANCHI di Winter Renshaw pubblicato questo mese dalla Newton. La protagonista è Melrose un'aspirante attrice che finora si è accontentata di ruoli secondari in attesa del successo. Lei è da sempre innamorata del suo migliore amico Nick, fondatore di una band, la 'Melrose Nights'. Si! Nick ha dato alla sua band il nome della sua migliore amica! Entrambi sono figli d’arte ma da sempre hanno condiviso la voglia di riuscire a sfondare con le sole proprie forze.
Il racconto inizia con una strana telefonata ricevuta da Melrose, proprio dal suo migliore amico, nella quale lui le anticipa di doverle confessare qualcosa. Melrose crede che finalmente anche Nick abbia iniziato a guardarla con occhi diversi…. Quello che sicuramente non si aspettava di scoprire è che Nick sta per partire per un importante tour, quello che forse finalmente lo porterà sulla strada del tanto atteso successo, e vuole accollarle le spese del suo contratto di affitto con coinquilino annesso, da vero taccagno qual è. Sutter is not up for dating, he is tired of the perfect woman with a model body and a bitchy attitude, he just wants to keep working and find someone who is really worth his time. He doesn't really know if he likes Nick's friend aka his new roommate. he just wants to get this over with but he won't get what he wants that easily.
Melrose and Sutter are like oil and water not really wanting to have any contact or relationship, trying to stay out of each other's way but life and circumstances keep trying to bring them together. Melrose is not what he thinks and Sutter has some secrets that also are making him stay far away from his new temporary roommate..
The story was good, it was a light read/listen if you're looking for something to unwind without too much angst or drama this is the perfect book. The characters were great. The narrations were awesome Sarah Puckett did a great job bringing each character to life. The voices for the main characters were also great, she made them even deeper and more intriguing.
Overall it was a good read/listen. I can wait to read the rest of the series.

This book can be read as a stand alone, however P.S I hate you could be thought of as the first book in a series and focuses on Melrose's only cousin.
Melrose and Sutter were a brilliant couple. Sutter immediately takes one look at Melrose and decides that he does not like her, however Melrose stands up for herself and proves that she is the better person every time he says something silly.
Sutter has an alcoholic father and often looks after his teenage brother and he too spends a few nights at the shared house and proves to be another point that brings both Melrose and Sutter closer.
Sutter may think he is destined to be a bachelor, however it is only with Melrose moving in only to help her best friend Nick that turns world around so that all he can think about is Melrose and how she is not actually like the woman he thought she was.
I really enjoyed this read and will certainly be looking forward to reading more from this author.

P.S I Miss You might be my favourite of all Winter Renshaws books.
I loved Melrose and Sutters chemistry right from the start and seeing their love/hate relationship develop into something more.
Sutters relationship with his little brother
was amazingly sweet and you get to understand why he keeps Melrose at arms length.
"Even if his kisses are fire and his touch is dynamite and he's starting to grow on me the more I peel back those layers … I don’t suspect he'd ever let me in. His heart is too damaged. Wrapped in scar tissue and padlocked for good measure"
I adored Tucker and would love to read more about him in a future based book.

Il titolo è tradotto giusto dall'originale ma non ci azzecca quasi per niente con la storia che non vede protagoniste le lettere come invece fu nel primo volume.
Poi per caso il libro che avevo letto prima di questo aveva la trama simile, ma questo è stato parecchio moscio in confronto.

The snarky jibes he tosses her way drive Melrose nuts, but she's no wallflower, though, so she gives as good as she gets. What neither wants to admit is just how much all that snark is concealing the rising sexual tension between them that is dying to be fulfilled. Will sweet, caring Melrose and closed off, moody Sutter give a relationship a go? Or will Melrose's crush on Nick, and Sutter's inability to express his feelings be too much of a deterrent? And what about when Melrose finally books a role and has to fly off to start filming?
I do have a couple little quibbles, but they weren't enough to take a star off or anything. In P.S. I Miss You, Sutter is a huge Golden State Warriors fan, and as I am too (Go Dubs!! 💙🏀💛), I couldn't help but be a little irritated that both Klay Thompson and Stephen Curry's names are misspelled more than once in my copy. I'm hoping the errors were fixed before publishing, though.
I really ended up liking P.S. I Miss You. It's not as angsty or melancholy as its predecessor, P.S. I Hate You, but it's still sweet and sexy, and Sutter and Melrose are a cute couple. Add in Sutter's awesome younger brother, Tucker, to round out the cast, and what Renshaw gives us is a well-rounded, well-written, sweet story. I can't wait for more of this world that Winter has created in Southern Cal.

Chi non si è mai presa una cotta per il proprio migliore amico? Più o meno tutte. È sempre lui quello bello, selvaggio, con lo spirito di un cantante rock e la bellezza di un adone. Nick è proprio così e con Melrose si conoscono fin da piccoli. Sono sempre stati insieme durante tutti gli anni della loro adolescenza fino a diventare adulti. Melrose vuole diventare un’attrice affermata mentre si barcamena in una giungla di piccoli ruoli e pubblicità. Nick, invece, vuole diventare un grande musicista. La svolta avviene quando la band di Nick viene scritturata per fare da apertura ai concerti dei Maroon 5. Quando lui chiede a Melrose di raggiungerlo, lei pensa che finalmente si sia reso conto di amarla, ma non potrebbe sbagliarsi di più. Nick ha bisogno che Melrose si trasferisca nel suo appartamento per non perderlo fino al suo ritorno dalla tourné che durerà sei mesi. Purtroppo, però, Nick non ha neppure specificato che il coinquilino, Sutter, è davvero odioso, o almeno Melrose pensa che lo sia. Fin da subito fra i due è odio allo stato puro. So già a cosa state pensando: sono tantissimi i romanzi con due migliori amici che scoprono di amarsi dopo tanto tempo, oppure quelli fra coinquilini che si odiano e poi si amano, ma posso assicurarvi che questa storia non è come tutte le altre.
Sicuramente quando ho iniziato a leggerla anch’io ho pensato queste cose, ormai il mercato è davvero saturo e riuscire a trovare una trama davvero originale diventa ogni giorno più difficile se non impossibile. Eppure, ho trovato il modo di Melrose e Sutter di approcciarsi l’uno all’altra davvero dolcissimo. Durante la lettura, più di una volta, mi sono trovata a sospirare. Questi due ti prendono davvero il cuore. Melrose è figlia di genitori famosi nel mondo della televisione, ma, al contrario di come si può pensare, non le è stato regalato nulla e si è sudata tutti i ruoli che è riuscita a interpretare.
Sutter invece è un lavoratore instancabile che sta cercando di mettere da parte dei soldi per poter assumere un avvocato e chiedere finalmente l’affidamento di suo fratello minore. Anche con lui la vita non è stata generosa e quando vede Melrose per la prima volta crede che sia un’attricetta delle tante che sta sul suo piedistallo e guarda il mondo dall’alto.
Sia Melrose che Sutter si renderanno presto conto di aver giudicato l’altro erroneamente e si accorgeranno di trovare molti punti in comune e di stare bene insieme. La vita, però, non è una serie tv e non sempre è così semplice arrivare all’happy ending.
«Sei la cosa più perfetta che abbia mai visto», le dico, allungando un braccio per accarezzarle il viso. «Non potrei mai lasciarti andare.»
Vi consiglio di leggere questo romanzo perché è uno di quelli che ti scalda il cuore come una dolce carezza, come una calda coperta in un freddo inverno. Questo romanzo è la dolcezza di cui tutti abbiamo bisogno per staccare dalla vita di tutti i giorni. Lettura per sotto l’ombrellone, ma anche per tutte le altre stagioni.

Cos’hanno in comune un’aspirante attrice e un elettricista? Niente di niente. E anche se detta così sembra il plot di un porno di serie zeta, vi posso assicurare che questo romanzo è la leggerezza e il buonumore fatto libro. Privo di drammi strappalacrime, niente tradimenti, niente oscuri passati o traumi insormontabili.
Qui abbiamo due persone completamente diverse che si ritrovano a condividere la casa anche se una va in giro con abiti firmati e ha una nonna che è una star del cinema e l’altro è un modesto e scontroso elettricista che divide la sua vita tra il lavoro, gli amici e il fratellino minore. Sono così diversi che se non l’avessi letto anch’io avrei pensato che un risvolto romantico tra questi due fosse impossibile, eppure è successo. Melrose e Sutter iniziano la loro convivenza a suon di schermaglie e dispetti, ti fanno sorridere e passare qualche ora in totale allegria, poi esplode la passione e i sentimenti non possono che essere dietro l’angolo.

P.S. I Miss You by Winter Renshaw was a fast paced, sexy roommates to lovers romance that made my heart hurt and made me swoon!
This in one of those books that has been sitting in my kindle unlimited borrows for quite a while and I finally decided that it was time to read it. I went in blind, just knowing that at one point it sounded good and had a cover I loved!
I really enjoyed how Melrose and Sutter really gave as good as they got from each other, one didn't back down easily, but the animosity seemed to amplify the sexual tension between the two of them. The way both of their preconceived notions were burst wide open and they truly got to know each other instead was a sight to behold.
Once they quit fighting the tension and caved it was sexy as hell and I couldn't wait for more! The big miss in P.S. I Miss You, really hurt my heart for Sutter and I was hoping it would be resolved quickly for his sake. Because GAH! My heart, y'all!

Melrose has a best friend. His name is Nick, she has always been in love with Nick. So, she would do anything for him. He gets a HUGE gig, and asks Melrose to stay at his apt so he doesn't screw his roommate. She of course accepts, and meets Sutter.
OOOOhhhh enter Sutter. Just the name is making me giddy. Sutter hasn't had the best time growing up. He shoulders a lot with his little brother, and his mother's abandonment. I love Melrose and his banter, jabs at each other, he definitely met his match with Melrose. He can't shake these new feelings he's been having for Melrose. But, he has them. It was really refreshing to read how much when he wanted it, he knew it. I loved their story, I loved his and her interactions with Tucker.
I hoping Tucker somehow gets his book in the long run. Enjoyed this story very much.

Cosa pensate delle storie tra coinquilini?
Il primo libro di questa serie lo avevo adorato, quindi devo ammettere che sono partita con i piedi di piombo nel leggere Ps Mi manchi, più che altro perché pur apprezzando la scrittura di Winter Renshaw, avevo paura che il romanzo non reggesse il confronto del suo predecessore… invece la storia di Sutter e Melrose ha tenuto banco e forse in un certo senso l’ho anche preferita, visto che mi ha presa fin da subito, confronto a Ps ti amo da morire. Se devo essere sincera ho apprezzato che l’autrice abbia cercato di mettere nel mezzo più argomenti – come la situazione del fratello di lui, o della cotta di lei per il suo migliore amico – ma c’è da dire che l’elettricità tra i due è fin da subito troppo forte per passare inosservata e non soccombere. Mi è piaciuto il loro primo approccio, ho anche apprezzato che Sutton – tra i due – sia quello più ruvido ma alla fine più sicuro. I due non cambiano per l’altro, si vengono incontro, imparano a conoscersi, cercano di resistere perché ognuno ha le sue idee ma alla fine riescono a fondersi, rendendo tutto dolce e quasi vero. Cosa che ho apprezzato veramente tanto.
Il primo libro di questa serie lo avevo adorato, quindi devo ammettere che sono partita con i piedi di piombo nel leggere Ps Mi manchi, più che altro perché pur apprezzando la scrittura di Winter Renshaw, avevo paura che il romanzo non reggesse il confronto del suo predecessore… invece la storia di Sutter e Melrose ha tenuto banco e forse in un certo senso l’ho anche preferita, visto che mi ha presa fin da subito, confronto a Ps ti amo da morire. Se devo essere sincera ho apprezzato che l’autrice abbia cercato di mettere nel mezzo più argomenti – come la situazione del fratello di lui, o della cotta di lei per il suo migliore amico – ma c’è da dire che l’elettricità tra i due è fin da subito troppo forte per passare inosservata e non soccombere. Mi è piaciuto il loro primo approccio, ho anche apprezzato che Sutton – tra i due – sia quello più ruvido ma alla fine più sicuro. I due non cambiano per l’altro, si vengono incontro, imparano a conoscersi, cercano di resistere perché ognuno ha le sue idee ma alla fine riescono a fondersi, rendendo tutto dolce e quasi vero. Cosa che ho apprezzato veramente tanto.

Była lepsza, niż pierwszy tom, ale jednak wciąż czegoś mi brakowało. Nie wiem czy jest to kwestia pióra autorki, czy tłumaczenia, ale nie potrafiłam się wciągnąć i zaprzyjaźnić z bohaterami. Dla mnie to taka przyjemna historia na jeden wieczór.

DNF at like 37% because Melrose is annoying as f***. Couldn't stand her. Acted like a 12 year old. Moving into Sutton's house and I'm assuming Nick is paying for rent during the 6 months? It wasn't really clear or I just didn't care, it was kinda stupid. Anyway, she moves in and acts like it's her own place, uses all the hot water and pretty much being self centered. Says she can read people but couldn't read the old fart producer that was gonna coerce her into sleeping with him to get a part. Yeah okay, how are you an aspiring actress and not know that. It got to the part where she was fighting him over the TV cause she wanted to watch some stupid show. Look man, it's his house, he paid for everything in there. I just don't like people that think their time is more important than someone else's. And even if you are paying rent, he still pays for everything else there, at least respect that. Ugh would never like a character like her and wouldn't understand why someone would fall in love with that 🙄

Excellent. Quick read, not too angsty and with a few chuckles thrown in. Enemies-to-lovers, opposites attract plot with super likable characters. Winter Renshaw has become a one-click author for me because she's got something that draws me in every time and each subsequent read just keeps getting better.
Definitely worth checking out.

Love Sutter
I really enjoyed this book. Melrose was hilarious and sweet. I loved how downto earth she was. Buttttt can we talk about Sutter for a second? That man was perfect. He was funny, attractive, and was so cute with his brother.

I’ve read and enjoyed a few Winter Renshaw books and remembering that, when I read the outline, this one sounded cute so thought I’d give it a read. Good call. I really liked this book. It’s sweet and amusing with very likeable characters.
Melrose, our heroine has had a crush on Nick, her lifelong best friend but he doesn’t see her that way. So when he asks a favour of her, to take over his share of a shared apartment for a few months while he’s out of town she agrees. But then she meets her temporary roommate Sutter and our hero and things don’t turn out quite the way she thought they would. Sutter is quite rude to her and things are off on less than friendly start. Melrose is an aspiring actress who comes from a wealthy family so before he even gets to know her, Sutter thinks she’s a spoiled little princess type and lets her know it. But he’s wrong, dead wrong. Melrose’s parents are different in the regard that while they have money, they expect Melrose to work for her own and don’t hand over everything she wants. As a result, she’s grounded and a very kind and thoughtful person. She’s a great character and I very much enjoyed her. Rather than lash out at Sutter, she just lets his attitude role off her and carries on. While at first the jury may be out on the kind of guy he is, it doesn’t take long until I fully fell for him and loved the both of them.
As Sutter spends more time with her, albeit reluctantly at first, he comes to see she is not what he first thought and instead is good people. And then there is this chemistry between them…… But what really seals the deal that she’s someone he wants a much deeper and romantic relationship with is the way she treats his troubled younger brother who is trapped in a sad and abusive situation that Sutter is trying to fix. Sutter and Melrose are headed to a really good place when Nick comes back, finally wanting a deeper relationship with Melrose than they’ve had. And she has been wanting this herself, thinking that eventually Nick would come around. So now what happens?
I’m not going to say. Instead you are going to have to read this book yourself, something I say you really need to do. It’s only $.99 on Amazon and I predict it will be a dollar well spent. I know for me it sure was.
A bit of a footnote. I said above I’ve enjoyed a few of her books and I have, but there was one book I loathed with strength of a burning sun and said that would be my last book by this author. I forgot about that and I’m sure glad I did and it wasn’t. Ms. Winter completely redeemed herself with P.S. I Miss You. There is a previous book that I hadn’t read before this one and this one still read well. And of course I did go back and get the first one.

Celý příběh je chatrný.
Melrose chodí do hereckého kurzu a na konkurzy. Přežívá jen díky tomu, že se nechá zvát na večeře od starších pánů. Ale ve vší počestnosti. Jen jednou se jí to zvrhne do „me too“.
Melrose je takový obrácený hrabě Nikolič. Její rodina je bohatá a ona žije na pokraji chudoby. I nehty si musí lakovat sama doma.
Po sto stranách dětinských naschválů se spolu hrdinové vyspí. Melrose sice spí se Sutterem, ale pořád čeká, že jí její dlouholetý kamarád (děvkař a špindíra) vyzná lásku. A on se kupodivu vyjádří. Protože už po dvou týdnech na světovém turné se mu stýská.
Melrose má sice se Sutterem ASI nejlepší sex svého života, ale dočkala se vyznání od starého přítele. Aby zjistila, že už ho vlastně nemiluje, a že lásečku má teď se Sutterem.
Neudrží myšlenku.

Nechápu, proč by měl Sutter čekat do června, než mu vyprší nájemní smlouva, aby si k sobě mohl vzít bratra. Na kterém mu tak zatraceně hodně záleží. Ano, nevzal si ho k sobě hned, když mu utekl spolubydlící, protože je táááák strašně složité sebrat čtrnáctiletého kluka opilci, který žije v karavanu. Hrdina na to musí šetřit, aby si mohl dovolit právníka. A pak to najednou jde a během tří týdnů je v podstatě po všem? Ale no tak.
Taky jsem nepochopila, proč hrdina nechá rozdělanou práci (která spěchá a na které závisí osud jeho bratra - nebo taky ne), aby přijel domů a hledal hrdince psa. Teda... hledal je silné slovo. Poprosil sousedku, aby se podívala, jestli není u ní, protože vydedukoval, že tam bude. To mohl vyřešit smskou. Ale to by se hrdinka nemohla rozplývat, protože nikdo jiný nepřijel. Jen ON.

Winter Renshaw is a witch. She waves her magical pen, weaving a spell around me until I’m helplessly, hopelessly in love with Melrose and Sutter. Their story captivated me from the first page and held me enchanted until the last. I couldn’t get enough of these characters!
When her lifelong friend, Nick, asks aspiring actress Melrose to take over his lease when he goes on tour with his band, she has a hard time saying no to him. Nick assures Melrose that his roommate, Sutter, is a good guy and they'll get along fine. When blue collar electrician Sutter meets his new roommate, he realizes two things. His assumption about Melrose being a shallow Hollywood socialite is wrong and he just may have met his match in her. Not only are they from different worlds, but they mix about as well as oil and water, and the only thing they can agree on is their mutual dislike for each other.
After reading the first P.S. book I was eager to read an early copy of Melrose's story. These two characters were hilarious and wildly entertaining with their bickering and trying to one-up each other while trying to fight their growing attraction. Both of them are so much more than they appear on the surface and the subtle revelations that delve deeper into each of them are doled out masterfully. Melrose is sweet, compassionate and funny but also a strong, independent go-getter. Sutter seems like a jerk at first glance, but he's a really great guy with a big heart who has overcome a lot, and they both easily owned my heart.
Renshaw's writing has that special “something" that sets her work apart. The characters are unique, authentic and delightful, the storyline is engaging, compelling and paced beautifully, ending far too soon, and I adore the glimpse into the future she adds in the epilogue. This one is sweet and steamy, heartfelt and humorous, and definitely a 1-Click worthy must-read!
