With a clear an upbeat voice, this thought-provoking text challenges readers to see the social and structural forces that determine our social problems; to consider various policies and programs that attempt to address these problems; and to recognize social problems in their own community, and learn how they can be part of the solution.
More stats than discussion of social issues than I'd prefer in a 200 level class. Instructor resources were great but will use a different text in the future
