I really enjoyed how there was a child in this story. A love story is always different when children are already involved. They can make or break a relationship as is let alone when they are not the biological child to one of the parties. When Addison was able to break down the wall built by Ryker it was great. She was so good with his daughter and gave that feeling of a completed family. When the house was shot up I was a little worried what would happen as none of the other stories included a main character's death and I didnt want it to start now lol. Once again we got to witness the strength in friendships and love when someone comes back from the grave. Ryker's daughter was hilarious and added in that humor to the story line from a non lover perspective.
Instead of being a past lover that comes back for the girl in this story we are presented with a much more dark issue, a stepfather. I cannot believe a mother would believe their boyfriend over their own child but I am glad that Addison was strong enough to move out before something happened and to have been smart enough to complete the call so that her cousin could hear what was going on and hope that she would know what to do.
Instead of being a past lover that comes back for the girl in this story we are presented with a much more dark issue, a stepfather. I was so happy when I seen that there was going to be a fifth book in the Blackthorn Mountain Men series, and I got even more excited when I seen that it was going to be Ryker.
Ryker and Addison were opposites in almost every way. Yet they fit perfectly together.
Ryker was a dirty talking alpha who was rough around the edges, and had a past many would frown upon.
Addison was a sweet girl. An innocent. She could come off as shy, but once you made her mad all bets were off. Which Ryker found out.
Definitely hoping we see more of this series in the future.

So much yes in this latest installment in the Blackthorn Mountain Men series - a connection between characters (Addison is the cousin of Katrina from Claiming His Mountain Bride), Ryker was introduced in a book in another one of Madison Faye's series (Rough Stuff in the Dirty Bad Things series), there was action but not too much violence due to the MC connection in Ryker's (and Axe of His Big Mountain Axe) past, plus Ryker is a single dad! So yeah - pretty much a fun time for all :) PLUS, it looks like we may even get a book 6 in the series if the introduction of another MC member is any indication and I can't wait for it! 3.5 out of 5 wine glasses.

I LOVED this story. This is one of my favorites of Madison. Ryker is a freaking awesome character. I loved him and this is such a great story that did him justice. It was great to see the other guys in this story also.
Addison is just what Ryker needs in his life. And I couldn't have asked for a better story for these two. I really couldn't put this book down!

Finally Ryker’s story and I wasn’t disappointed. Ryker & Addison have an instant connection that can’t be denied. But when both their pasts come back, can they both survive? I really love this short, sexy read that once I start reading I don’t want it to end.

Addison has come to Blackthorn Mountain to visit her cousin and to get away from her family and a douche bag cheating ex-boyfriend. Ryker once the leader of a MC gang now works on bikes and tries to make a home for his young kid. When Ryker and Addison meet, the chemistry is thru the roof. Ryker wants to start a romance with Addison yet ghosts from his past seem to want to cause trouble. Can they have their HEA?

Great fast read. I loved it. The only om drama is from someone who wants the h and he attacks her and says he's going to take what he should have before, but he is stopped before anything sexual happens. Great story.

Possibly the best MF book I've read. The storyline was believable and interesting and fun. I tried real hard to ignore the excessive use of italics (which I've found is typical with this author), but that coupled with the few grammar mistakes I caught, loses ½ a star rating. Final rating: 4½ stars

This is the fifth book in this series. This book can be read as a standalone but they are better read in order. You meet Ryker at the end of the last book. Ryker was the president of the MC that Axe was in. He has decided to take on Blackthorn. He is a single dad and Blackthorn is a great place to raise his daughter. Addison has come to spend the summer on Blackthorn with her cousin Katrina. She needs a job while she is there. She interview’s at Axe and Ryker bike shop as a bookkeeper while Larkin is on bedrest. One look and Ryker hires her without references. He knows he should keep away from her but one look and he is hooked. He wasn’t prepared for her to blow into his life like she did. But, once he has Addison he isn’t going to let her go. Will he be able to protect her and his daughter when his past comes to pay a visit? I love that we are getting to read about other members of Axe’s MC. He had thought that they were all killed and I am glad that they weren’t. Ryker hasn’t had it the easiest and deserves some happy. I am loving this series. It’s not entirely realistic but I am loving non the less. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series. I recommend this book and the series if you like a crazy, alpha, and hot between the sheets men. The women are great too.

More Mountain Men!!
We finally get to see more of Ryker!! After meeting him in Axe’s story I couldn’t wait to find out more about him. I loved his story!! Seeing him and his daughter settle down after so much had happened having Axe and the other mountain men to back him up. Finding Addison who was sent his way by Katrina her cousin. She was the missing piece to his puzzle, but he knew the first time he saw her that he would claim her for himself. I love the banter between Ryker, Kyrie, and Addison it made you want them to be a family!! And we get a glimpse at what could be another addition to the mountain!!! Can’t wait to see what’s next.

A feel good romance
The story is not what I expected from the title. I thought it was about a mountain man and Ryker is a man living in the mountains however he is a co owner of a bike shop and ex biker president.
I loved all the characters and enjoyed the exchanges between Ryker and Addison that fit together perfectly even with her being a city girl and him from the hard biker life.
The story is definitely a standalone with mention of previous characters which only makes me want to go back and read from the beginning.
I highly recommend reading this book, even if you haven't read the others. I was left chuckling and grinning at the end.

Okay, that’s more my speed. Filthy ... but one-on-one dirty. Still frequent reference to ropes of a certain substance, but at least there was no obsessing over size (either his or hers).
The scene with the dumpster fire confused me at first. When the explosion was first mentioned, I thought it was a euphemism for Ryker and Addison rocking each other’s worlds ... but, no, there was an actual conflagration & property damage. 🤦🏻♀️
And I’m glad Stone turned out NOT to be a traitor ... oops, spoiler?

4 stars. Addison escapes to Blackthorn Mountain at the insistance of her cousin Katherine whose story was the first book in the series (all books can be read as standalone but have connectiong characters). Ryker has now left his MC lifestyle behind and settled on Blackthorn with his daughter Kyrie. The biker and the city girl should be like oil and water but they fit and danger comes looking for them on the mountain Ryker will do everything to savehis family and his love. So much hotness I'm ready to combust. Good recommended read.

This quickly paced read is filled with scorching heat, sizzling chemistry and hot scenes. This well written book offers lots of action, drama, humor and passion. Ryker is all things alpha and the sweetest dad. Addison is a bit of a brat to start but as the layers are peeled away you learn she is sweet and shy. Loved these two together. A entertaining and exciting read. This is my completely honest, voluntary review.

I live to read this series each time it’s released. The male character profiles here are just so scorching hot. Ryker knew what he wanted from the moment he met Addison. The scene when he goes to take her some towels to her apartment, and he sees her there in all her sensual glory. It was game on from there! And the ending was too cute, hearts 💕 floated from the top of my head! Even the title makes you 🤭 giggle. Go Madison Faye!

What a man. Ryker is one sexy single alpha dad who tries to be rough, but is really just a teddy bear. Addison planned on coming to Blackthorn Mountain to escape for a while. Little did they both know that fate was to take over and change both of their lives. This was a short but amazing love story. Now I just need to start from the beginning. Great job Madison Faye.

It seems to me the the series is getting better with the plots of the books.
There was romance,smut and action in equal measures.It didn't feel as rushed as the first ones which gave it the sense that it took longer to get to the happy ending.
The addition of Kyrie,Ryker's daughter,also made it more domestic for such a rough man.
I can't wait for Stone's story!!

Oh I liked this story of Ryker & Addison
Addison needed to get away from her crappy family and sorry excuse of her cheating bastard of a ex-boyfriend.

Did not disappoint!
Madison Faye is a great author! Her male characters are those wonderful growly alpha types, who fall fast! Ryker is no exception, and I love how I don’t have to wait hundreds of pages for the chemistry and drama to happen. Can’t wait for Stone’s story!

Sooooooo sweet!
I completely loved this book! Ryker was smoking hot as a lover and completely heartwarming as a father. Addison was feisty and smart. The ending has to be the sweetest ending I've ever read, do yourself a favor and get this book and enjoy!
