Fast read, but I had a hard time getting into this one. the characters are generic to the point of no physical descriptions for most of them. I tried another book by this author which I had to DNF. Im not sure if it's me or this author's style of writing that's just not compatible.
My first book of this author and, oh boy, what an introduction!. An arrogant abusive leader, vengeance, a struggle for life, building a new life, a battle, passionate love between mates, horny scenes, angst, an adorable puppy, a dedicated family and great female leads. An exciting story and I am definitely going to read more from this author.
Paranormal novels are a favorite of mine, especially the shifter types and this story was well written except for one minor part where Callisse first heads out to find Meghan and mentions the Mating of Adrianna and Meghan, knowledge she should not yet have. I enjoyed many of the characters and what Adrianna's pack stood for. Really enjoyed the story and looking forward to reading more by this Author.
I'm not sure why this has such high reviews on Amazon site. Maybe the lack of Sci-fi being written in this community so nothing to contend with? Bestseller, I'm not so sure or how that came about. Again, a lack of contention.
Thank you to the author for trying, though. Too simplistic in writing and very short. Lacks a lot of writing skills and appears very amateurish. Also repetitive with a lot of wording.
I initially read the synopsis of the story a it was well thought out and very strong. That's what got me interested in reading it. There are several problems that I came across that are common to most new writers the primary being perspective. The story seems to be about the feeling and emotions of the primary character but it seems to switch throughout the story . It needs to be Beta read for context and missing words among other things. It reads, in places as if the writer has transferred what she had in her outline. It needs to be fleshed out more. I hope this is helpful to both the reader and the writer. This could be an outstanding book if the writer makes the changes recommended.
The plot was great. Character development was non-existent. Editing was sparse and uneven. Descriptions were sparse. Conversations were unrealistic and choppy. Pronoun usage was odd and confusing. At one time there were four she’s in the conversation and one ‘she said’ after ‘she said’. I was lost and confused. I had to reread the section several times to understand who was speaking to whom. But I liked the story.
The characters were coming through the book. I could imagine the Alphas and some of the other wolves. I especially liked how Alpha Adrianna's parents were so supportive and all I wanted to be part if her pack. And let's not forget how shameful Alpha Callisse was. She was just insane and out of control. Well worth the read and enjoyable and even a bit weird with the mating but overall it was so different in an amazing way. Enjoy!!!
Loved the story i couldn't put it down going to wait for the sequel... Cuz there has to be one right?! There must we have to see how Alpha Adrian is gonna deal with the Pups especially if there more than Two:) Poor Luna:)
I really struggled with this book. I gave it a shot as so many people seemed to enjoy it but it didn't feel like it flowed well, the writing was questionable and kudos for the effort but that's as far as I'd go.. I understand this genre can lack choices but I wouldn't recommend this.
A story of how .wolves interact especially when .A wolf escape from a pack whose Alpha is cruel The author Charllie conwell wrote a story about good and evil. A sweet story how it does help no matter what happens.
This book just wasn’t jiving. It felt rushed/forced. This one was just not my cup of tea 😢
The main character was overly domineering when the page before stated that they needed to go slow and and show the love/commitment. The same character made me feel compromised and uncomfortable with how they were treating their “mate”.
Now that doesn’t mean I don’t like a good Dom/sub scene or were stories.
