Claimed by the Bastard Prince is a stand alone novella that was fun to read and had my heart racing! Cora is visiting Ismailia to watch her best friend get married and to sightsee. She’s not expecting a steamy one night stand with Akeen. But right in the middle of their night together, Cora is accused of a plot to murder the king, and while she’s realizing how powerful Akeen really is and how frightened she is, she knows he won’t harm her. Is it possible this unlikely couple can have a happy future, or will the rest of her life be spent in prison?

Wow! This book was intense and steamy and thank goodness it was short and the kiddos were in bed because once I started, I did not put it down. And once it was over, I still wanted more! Cora was so brave with everything that had happened to her so quickly, and I loved that she didn’t cower or tell lies. Akeen knew exactly what he wanted, but I loved that he took his responsibilities so seriously and didn’t let his emotions cloud his judgement. The plot line definitely had me at the edge of my seat, wondering what was going to happen next, how Cora and Akeen would respond, and what would be the outcome for their relationship! The other part of this book that I really enjoyed was the ending, but I don’t want to give anything away! I definitely recommend this book to anyone looking for a quick and dirty read!

I originally read this in the Royally Mine Anthology and loved it, this time reading it, I appreciate it more, it is a quick but very satisfying read. Cora attends a wedding of her college roommate at the Shalan Palace in Ismallia where she meets the Bastard Prince Akeen. Cora had recently broken up with her boyfriend when she caught him boffing Ms. Big Boobs. She wasn't ready to fall for another man who might be a cheater like her ex but Akeen is one gorgeous hot manly man who seems to have the hots for her. As Cora finally falls under Akeen's sensual spell, they are interrupted by the Royal Guard who informs Akeen that Cora was implicated in the plot to kill King Brenul and he must throw her in the dungeon and interrogate her! The story is fun most of the time and the interrogation in the dungeon is scary but the sex is hot and so is Akeen and his attitude of being totally taken with Cora in spite of her being implicated in a plot to kill his father, the king. All in all, this was an excellent quick read that will leave you smiling.

Amazing story that rocked from beginning to end!! And kept us guessing…..
Cora, the unpretentious American arrives in the small but prosperous country of Ismallia by herself to attend the wedding of her college roommate to an Ismallian Prince. Akeen, the bastard son of the King has a respected position, as Royal Adivser, who is known to perform other functions within the government and is well respected. The attraction is instantaneous and the sparks fly. They have a night of passion and bliss. And then everything changes and Cora is arrested! The suspense builds, the sexual scenes are HOT, the romance is sweet, there is spanking, dominance but all is consensual and fun! The story is well written and the characters are lovable and one cares about them. Sue Lyndon has given Cora an inner strength to cope with the situation and Akeen continues to do his job but can remain cautious.
The story is unique, sexy, erotic and beautifully written. Thank you, Sue Lyndon

So I read Claimed by the Bastard Prince and by the title I thought that this was going to be a quick read and enjoyable book. This is my first time reading this author, and if this is an example of romance, then I will not be rereading it. So the female character was underdeveloped in my opinion and weak to crumble before a man who was not a strong character either. How do you get locked up in prison and accused of treason but then want to have sex with that person and forgive them? The plot, in the beginning, was interesting because here you have a young woman who found her boyfriend in bed with another woman and threw a cake at him. But that was where the book ended and she lost her drive. I don't know what the other people who read the book thought and gave it five stars. Giving the book two stars was for me being generous.

I originally read this as part of the Royally Mine Anthology.

Cora, the sweet American that came to witness her friends wedding and Akeen, the Royal Adviser, who does more than advise. A night of passion turns into something totally different. This story went from a romance to an intrigue in the blink of an eye. The plot and characters are so well written and the author gave Cora an inner strength to help her cope with the situation she found herself in. It felt like a shorter story than the rest but it could be that i enjoyed it such much that it flew by. I loved the ending.

I have read and enjoyed a few Sue Lyndon Books. This one promised much but it's delivery fell short. I felt the jump between Akeen and Cora getting together and him turning up on the plane left much that could have been expanded. Also the dungeon scenes what a missed opportunity!

When Cora meets Akeen at a wedding she agrees to spend the night with him. Akeen is determined that not only will they spend the night together, he is going to make her his. This is a steamy read with with an intriguing storyline.
