Necessary Noise: How Donald Trump Inflames the Culture War and Why This Is Good News for America

Rate this book
Popular FOX commentator Star Parker explains why today's noisy political rhetoric is good for you and provides specifics on why Trump's presidency is vital for America's future.

Star Parker was among the many reeling and confused as Donald Trump became the 45th president of the United States. But, she argues, a silver lining to this outcome is the debate that has since ruled our media and private conversations.

The ongoing noise of debate can seem overwhelming, but our country needs the authentic and candid dialogue of its people. And Trump's presidency provides us with an opportunity like never before to engage and work to preserve the values upon which America was built. Necessary Noise honestly examines the crossroads where we find ourselves and suggests ways of moving toward resolution and restoration. Tackling a wide range of topics on which citizens should get noisy--from immigration, to education, to abortion, to welfare-- Necessary Noise provides the framework for how to take part in this important time in history using our voices.

Necessary Noise:
How Donald Trump Inflames the Culture War and Why This Is Good News for America

• By Star Parker, with Richard Manning
(Published 2019, over 200 pages).

"...Donald Trump is well into his first term, I am more convinced than ever that his devout and initial supporters had it right and that he was the very president America needed to get our country back on course toward its founding principles."

OVERVIEW:
...Star Parker explains why today's noisy political rhetoric is good for you and provides specifics on why Trump's presidency is vital for America's future.

...Donald Trump became the 45th president of the United States. [Parker]...argues, a silver lining to this outcome is the debate that has since ruled our media and private conversations.

• The author brings up two questions concerning the state of our country.
1) The Culture War: will it turn into a physical war?
2) Will the country, the people continue down the Socialist, big government path?
We are at a great divide, a crossroads concerning our worldview. On the Right is our founding principles, limited government, individual merit and biblical morality. Versus the Left's situational ethics, redistribution and big government (people dependent on and controlled by the government).

Why so many chose the crass and opinionated Donald J. Trump (DJT), he promised to move America back to its founding principles. His supporters, alarmed at the nation's fall into debauchery, collectivism, political correctness, moral relativism and government dependency, viewed DJT as the last chance to get the country back on track.

In the introduction the author includes DJT's 2016 inaugural speech. Beautifully written, encouraging and calling for We the People to unite around America first, the Dems and media condemned it as dark and even Hitlerian.

Some Details •
Chapter 1: Thank you, President Obama. Parker details our country's slide into becoming an anti-christian, big government, socialist accepting nation dominated by the left-wing liberal progressives (LWLP). Facilitating this decline was the swamp, do-nothing GOP and other career politicians who continually let down their voters.

Obama's scandal-ridden administration (Fast and Furious, the Benghazi cover-up, etc), attacks on the Little Sisters of the Poor, on the traditional family, on decency, promoting Progressive extremism, attacking people for eating at Chick-fil-A and much, much more, finally woke up the evangelicals and conservatives. Enter Donald Trump promising to drain the swamp, disrupt DC's status quo and Make America Great Again.

The Left-Wing Liberal Progressive's (LWLP) post-christian America:
War on religion and businesses owners of faith;
Statism supplants the church;
Hating capitalism, the free market, the Constitution, the Declaration of Independence.
The LWLP's America loathing led to the rise of the Tea Party then to DJT (a bully on the side of We the People).

The Tea Party (lovers of Liberty): reining in Obama and Pelosi's excesses and a lethargic GOP.

Part 2: Immigration Madness
The AOC welfare state phenomenon: promoting socialism, anti-israel, free everything for immigrants and illegals (the Dem's government-dependent base).

“A nation without borders is not a nation..." DJT

America's progressive tax system, rooted in communism (Dems love it) - the government decides how much you can keep of the money you've earned.
Antifa (communist streetfighters) and other America haters - just the current crop of violent LWLP Marxists.
The author, a Bible reading Christian, believes DJT and her friend Mike Pence were God's choice in 2016.
The breakdown of reasoned discourse - the left refusing to even talk with those holding differing views.

Part 3: A sexualized culture: covers the infamous sexual research of deviant Alfred Kinsey; radical feminists stymied when 53% of white women voted in DJT and how the sexual revolution has backfired. "Marriage is expendable, promiscuity expectable, abortion unhindered, births outside marriage acceptable, ponography mainstreamed and the sex trafficking of children common worldwide."

The transitioning trend - a world of gender confusion. The LWLP condemns the listing of sins - Fire Chief Kelvin Cochran is fired for his Christian perspective.

Part 4: Goddess Oprah and Auntie Maxine
Social Justice Warriors (SJW) are perpetually offended, Antifa-like fighters of the Twitter world.
The crimes of Cosby and Harvey Weinstein's casting couch, ignored and excused until they offended the liberal-left. Cosby's offense was calling for blacks to be more personally responsible and to stop blaming their problems on racism.
Oprah and Obama promote the race war - preferring to be rich, powerful, black LWLPs.
Congresswoman Maxine Waters promoting hate and out of control lack of civility - telling the loony left to attack people in public with whom she disagrees.

The author examines why blacks tend to vote Democratic and notes a change in that trend.
Black Lives Matter (BLM) and other George Soros funded activists - the Soros plan to undermine law-and-order in America. The "Hands up, don't shoot" lie. BLM's war on cops resulted in record levels of crime and homicides & cops forced to stand down.
The effective use of the Broken Windows Theory - a policing policy that prevents crime from spreading.

Maxine Waters & the Congressional Black Caucus attack Trump's plan to fix inner-city neighborhoods (the New Deal for Black America / urban renewal). Blacks meeting or working with Trump are also attacked.

Part 5: Recognizing Jerusalem as Israel's capital.
Abortion: just because it's legal doesn't make it moral. Blacks are disproportionately affected by abortion on demand and the breakdown of the family, etc.
NAFTA & other bad trade deals. Overtaxed businesses discouraged investments in the US. DJT and the GOP's economic success ends Obama's depressed "new normal."

Where do we go from here? The national debt crisis is mentioned--having no resolution in sight. Personal freedom and responsibilities is detailed versus dependency on government in place of freedom. The choice to re-elect DJT comes down to voting for freedom over governmental control.

The choice is simple. Either we will embrace the American ideal and continue to strive toward freedom, or our nation will sink into the scrap heap of history, to be examined in a thousand years like Athens or Rome in order to determine why we traded freedom for the false sense of security offered by totalitarianism.
..

Mostly well done, but leaves it where we are now, ideologically opposed: Right or Left, GOP vs Dems, religious opposed by the secular etc.--making the point that our future is uncertain.

It seems the problem for Republicans, conservatives, Christians etc is the Democratic Party now openly embraces socialism. The author says, "socialism is political force by persuasion." Once in charge they'll no doubt turn to communism, "political force by the gun."

[The worry is the Left's control of the media, entertainment, education and more. They assault people for supporting the GOP, riot at conservative free speech events, shut down Christian businesses, are openly hostile to Israel, work to eliminate our Second Amendment and call conservatives racists, sexists... (all kinds of foul names). One can only imagine what they'd do if they ran all three branches of government, in addition to everything else].

I did an audible on this book. As time marches on, we many times forget the details. Lots of good information which brought back memories of past news items that helped me remember why I was SO disappointed in Obama and his administration. Recounting the past reminds me that President Trump was just the man we needed to clean up the mess of the previous Presidents and far left leadings.

“Necessary Noise” = A Necessary Read!

The amazing Star Parker (who was nice enough to personally inscribe my copy of this book at a Capitol Hill Club book signing promo) and my dear old USC friend & mentor Rick Manning have written a fantastic book that serves as both a solid case as to why Donald Trump’s election was indeed “necessary” (as the the book’s title indicates) as well as a stinging indictment of shenanigans the politically correct, race-baiting, gender-baiting “LWLPs” (Left-Wing Liberal Progressives).

Particularly noteworthy for me are the authors’ recounting of the outrageous public crucifixion (metaphorically speaking) of former Atlanta city Fire Chief Kelvin Cochran.

Favourite passages:

“In the 1980s, way before the swipe-right culture of Tinder, SJW was a common abbreviation in newspaper personal ads for a single Jewish woman in search of a date.

Now SJW stands for something much more dangerous—the Twitter social justice warrior of the perpetually offended who travels from alleged indiscretion to alleged indiscretion with their 140-character guillotines still bloody from the last life they destroyed. And they are using the tragedies in American black history to further their extreme cause.

No judge, no jury—just the Twitter mob arriving, attacking, destroying, and then moving to its next victims. The SJWs are the social media equivalent of Antifa, only they hide behind the anonymity of their computer keyboards rather than the skull-faced masks of the communist street fighters they so admire.”—from the beginning of Chapter 10

“I have worked for years to transform Social Security to a program of individually owned personal retirement accounts. Why not allow our nation’s youth to redirect their payroll taxes away from the IRS and into an IRA?”—from Chapter 15. (And to which I say “AMEN!!”)

Keep up the great work and God bless, Star and Rick! And to Rick in particular, a heart “FIGHT ON, TROJANS!!”

Parker approaches a very important topic in America, the NOISE we hear between the left and right, liberals and conservatives. She explores many items that make up the noise, bringing in history and background to add context. This is not a heavy read. What I found frustrating is that Parker doesn't draw any connections between aspects of noise or put our ways to address the noise. As a result I'm left wanting.

There is a battle being waged for the future of America. “Some vote for freedom, some for government control.” Necessary Noise sheds light on the battlefront, the weapons used on the battlefield, the propaganda campaign, and identifies the casualties of failed policies. The book exhorts us to join the battle for families and sanctity of life. Thank you, sister, well done,

Star Parker makes an excellent case for why the noise of President Trump’s agenda has caused so much noise among us. We have to think for ourselves about why we have found ourselves at this place in our history and time. It will take an honest look at ourselves and within us to climb out of this hostile political atmosphere. Those of us who love our God and Country will see the light at the end of the tunnel!
