When they said “brief lessons” they weren’t exaggerating with “brief” at all. It was okay… you can definitely read it in an hour.
Along with the actual lessons there were also little activities for you to do in relation to the lesson. I did none of them. I also barely read them. But from what I did read, they were just ways to get out of a creative block so I may revisit if I really need something to get me out of a creative rut.
There were a handful of one liners that got me, but nothing was that hard hitting for me to take it to heart. I think the brevity of it all didn’t give me a chance to really indulge in the lessons.

This was a quick read and was useful to learn a little more about the creative process of different artists and get introduced to some artists I had heard of. Wish it went deeper into some of the ideas or provided more suggestions to try for your creative process.

Some timely reminders of how to develop creative thinking, but sadly not enough original ones to spark ideas.

Great for when you feel creatively stuck, and something to keep on hand to reference from time to time.

Een hoop leuke oefeningetjes in creativiteit aan de hand van de dagelijkse praktijk van een groot aantal zeer uiteenlopende kunstenaars.

Short, sweet and perfect for when you need a little artistic inspiration. However, nothing new or groundbreaking within these pages.
