About the author

Ruskin Bond is an Indian author of British descent. He is considered to be an icon among Indian writers and children's authors and a top novelist. He wrote his first novel, The Room on the Roof, when he was seventeen which won John Llewellyn Rhys Memorial Prize in 1957. Since then he has written several novellas, over 500 short stories, as well as various essays and poems, all of which have established him as one of the best-loved and most admired chroniclers of contemporary India. In 1992 he received the Sahitya Akademi award for English writing, for his short stories collection, "Our Trees Still Grow in Dehra", by the Sahitya Akademi, India's National Academy of Letters in India. He was awarded the Padma Shri in 1999 for contributions to children's literature. He now lives with his adopted family in Landour near Mussoorie.

It has quotes from so many authors and ruskin bond himself,a sweet lil' book of courageous sayings,poems and quotes,says too much in very few pages,an hour's read perhaps😍

We need courage to hold on to our dreams. We need courage to overcome the failures. We need courage to carry on our efforts till the end. And we need courage to keep walking on the path we have chosen, no matter no one else walks on that path. RB says, 'Courage, my friend. Courage to the end.' This yet another beautiful little book leads you towards the path filled with courage. It motivates you to keep going in spite of disappointments and failures. It lifts your spirits. The best thing is that, RB has sprinkled the magic of courage through the beings and things around us. There is a lot to be learned from an ant, a flower and a children's rhyme.

It is my routine since last month that I read a few quotes from Ruskin Bond's little books while having my morning tea. Sometimes I read five, sometimes eight and sometimes ten or a few more. But today, perhaps I was in need of motivation and a certain push, that I kept on reading and thinking about these for long. I realized it only when I came to the last page of the book. This is the magic of Ruskin Bond's words. He casts the spell of his words on you, and you firget everything but the book you are holding in your hands.

In fact, all the books from little book series hold the same warm and comforting feeling.
Not just that, it also adds a positive, much-needed direction to your thoughts.

Courage by Ruskin Bond, is a short book for a quick read.
It is a compilation of some thoughts/quotes and poetic verses by @ruskinbond and more renowned personalities including Emily Dickinson, Helen Keller, Albert Einstein, Kalidasa etc.

It reflects love, motivation, discipline and most importantly courage to do what we wish to do in life. I loved the way this book is written with Notes section in it, some pages left for readers to dot down what they felt for each category of thoughts/quotes & poetic verses. It is the best friend for your lows and highs.

I recommend this book to all the readers and non-readers struggling to stick to their lives and thoughts. It is a little bundle and won't take much time of yours.

It’s a good book of collection of courageous quotes which might be helpful for someone who needs the push at the right moment. It didn’t quite work for me but I got it as a gift for someone for whom it might just work to get a little bit of edge to move on the life when it’s difficult. Hardcover good is of good quality with blank pages in between to write our own quotes.

I've been a fan of Ruskin Bond's Little Book collections and this is my third one.

With quotes from himself and other eminent authors, A Little Book of Courage is a wonderful collection of quotes on courage, bravery and strength.

Read this whenever you are feeling low or scared to start something new. I bet you can just flip to any random page and you'll find a sliver of strength in you to go in pursuit of your dreams!
