Written by an expert team of veterinarians, cat breeders, and scientists, this comprehensive reference-guide covers all aspects of cat care, health, psychology, breeding, and showing
My mom got this book like 25 years ago, and for me it’s still the best cat book I’ve owned. We are cat lovers and there have always been one or more cats around the house. I have a couple of other good cat books, written in recent years, but this one is a classic, a true cat bible. It has helped us a lot through time with all our doubts about cat ailments, behavior, matting, etc. It is full of useful information and truly guides you with the best choices for you cats. My copy is worn, yellowish, with some lose pages, but it’s still a treasure I really cherish. If you can find a copy of this book I fully recommend it to learn more about our feline companions.
A very detailed cat book that covers everything you ever wanted to learn about our lord and savior, the cat...! Y'all must know I am a sucker for anything cat related, AND if it's a book, that's twice as good. It covers kitty topics such as different health care, feeding, grooming, care of a sick cat, first aid, cat breeding, cat showing, kittenhood, and also a detailed history. Lots of cat pictures to drool over. Although published in 1980 it is still a welcome addition, to my "feline-brary" at least...!
Whilst now somewhat dated (published in 1980) this detailed book covers everything you need to know about the cat. Covering topics such as different cat breeds, health care, feeding and grooming, caring for a sick cat, first aid, breeding, showing a cat, kittenhood, history of the cat and much more. With excellent diagrams and photographs this book is a thorough handbook for the cat lover. I was fortunate to find this book in my favourite second hand bookstore.
