Michelle Garren Flye is truly the Sorceress of Romance
She has truly outdone herself with this book, Dickens Magic, her latest romance novel that combines exciting romance with characters involved in the skills of magic. First of all, there is a strong, fast-paced romance, which is the main focus of the book and there is a logic as to why Alex and Kate must resist their mutual desires. It makes sense, with the situations each are facing.
Second, Flye has brought in ALL the character from the OTHER books in this series. This also made sense, speaking as a professional magician, we tend to know a lot of other magicians. The characters all work together to save a local theater with which they have a connection.
So as the romance between Alex and Kate blooms, we have the other characters, now in stable relationships, present a huge show with magic and music, filled with the Christmas spirit and a production of A Christmas Carol.
I loved this tale, as it brought in the characters I had grown to love from the other books in the series and had them all work together. I could see how each relationship had grown and I reveled in the joyous setting for the magic and the mystery
In full disclosure, I was the magic consultant on the book, but I am an unabashed fanboy. Michelle writes glorious, fast-paced, heart-touching romances and this one is no exception. I heartily recommend this book for the holiday, as you will be filled with newly discovered love and the joys of the season as well.
