The McNallys #2

To Cherish

Rate this book
After crossing two state lines with her three-year old son to escape her abusive ex-husband, Jemma McNally is anxious to put the cooking skills she learned from her grandmother to good use in running the McNally B&B. But when she realizes she’s being stalked her old fears rise to the surface. She’ll do anything to keep her son safe, even if that means asking Sheriff Deputy Garth Lewis for protection.

Refusing to repeat the mistakes in his past, Garth is determined to maintain a professional distance while keeping Jemma and Trey safe from harm. But his heart refuses to listen to reason. He cares about Jemma and Trey far more than he should. And when Trey disappears, Garth will gladly put his life on the line to rescue the boy he loves like a son.

This 2nd book of this series was heartfelt! Emma busy cooking her grandmother's recipes to try out before opening of McNally B & B. She has her young son Trey to look for also. Then some unsettling bad things start happening around the B & B that has Emma thinking her ex husband is behind this. She calls the sheriff Dept & Garth shows up to check out everything. Even Emma. This is a must read!! Page Turner.. Touching love story. I love Laura Scott!!

Fun Read

The McNally twins are so different, as are most twins, and the author captured their differences as complimentary to each other. I enjoyed reading more of Jazz and Dalton, and I was pleased their relationship didn't overshadow Jenna and Garth. I loved Trey.

I think I like these books so much because they are real.

This is #2 and I just realized why the McNally family resonates so much. No extraordinary events although not just unpleasantness either. Ms. Scott takes the good and bad and weaves the story through every day living.

A cute, quick read that combines romance with a little mystery. I especially enjoyed it because there’s no bad language or inappropriate content.
