Lovely mix between Twilight and Teen Wolf. I really loved this story but can’t say it’s something new on the market. But that didn’t take away any pleasure reading this. I loved the characters and the storyline.

The book was over way to soon! Luckely for me, I could continue with book 2. Not that it ends with a big cliffhanger, I seriously hate those annoying cliffhangers. The story was just not quite over... it ends with a promise for book 2, that’s the way to describe it best.

Young Love & Werewolf Drama!😱🐺💕

This has an interesting story & likable characters. I liked the lore & world that the Author has built for her book and the twist regarding Brianna has great potential!!👍

Brianna 'Brie' Sterling is an orphan being raised by her Aunt. Her family history is extensive in the town of Breck, their store, Sterling Grocery, was opened by her Grandfather. Her Aunt is hiding something from her & Brie is worried they're in financial trouble & in danger of losing the store & their home!!😞

Cayden is new, along with his family, to Breck. He likes Brie but his family prefer to keep to themselves & don't approve of him trying to mingle! He secretly joins the drama auditions & wins the lead, his twin sister agrees to keep his secret. It's during rehearsals that Brie & Cayden become closer and they sort of start a relationship in secret!!😳

Brie doesn't like the distance or secrets she can tell he's keeping. She eventually confronts him after she's followed him & sees something she shouldnt!!😱😎 It's clear the burden was a lot for him & they become closer. She's getting more & more worried by her Aunt's continued withdrawal. Their relationship is suffering due to her trying to deal with whatever is wrong alone!😢

Once Cayden's truth & Brie's hidden past comes to light they will need to make decisions and quickly, separately & together!! Tragedy will strike, lives will be changed forever and legacies await!!🌟
I found the writing style a bit jumbled initially, it sort of skipped around, but it settled somewhat, as the story continued. I hope the continuation of this story cements the secondary characters a bit more and I look forward to seeing where Brie's surprising 'ability' has come from 😊🍁

Wolf Bound is the first book in the Alpha Legacy serie by Holly Hook. It's a lovely fantasy and I really liked it. I loved the characters and the writing style. It was over way to soon and I can't wait to start the second book in this series.

I have a lot of downfalls with this book but also some pluses. I'll start with the later.

Points towards:
1.Main character Brie does what she wants (even though sometimes I think she is stupid) she normally gives time for the answers to come to her and when they don't she goes looking for them.
"I'm going to follow him and demand to know his deal." - page 46
Its a very nice change from the normal 'if the answer doesn't fall from the sky I don't know what is happening' attitude.
2.There is more going on in Brie's life then just Cayden. She has an after school job (sort of) and family financial issues that Aunt May is trying to hide from her.
Unfortunately that is about all of the good. I am sure I am missing some but nothing really stands out.

Points against:
1.The writing doesn't flow. Some authors have that magic where the sentences just flow nicely and you can read it in one sitting. This book did not have that. Often I had to go back and reread sentences because of time jumps or small gaps where there shouldn't be any. Nothing huge but there's a scene where Brie is talking about a customer just walking in the store and then Cayden walks in. I am still expecting the customer to be there when clearly (after some confusion and rereading) they are not.
2.Aunt May, either hide your comings and goings better or give some answers. Often she leaves and Brie assumes why but when confronted Aunt May tells her
"It's nothing," she says in a dismissive tone.  "It's nothing at all." - page 14 and literally the rest if the book.
3.Secrets that I want to smack my head against my hand and OMG that could've been handled differently. If I faint at the sight of blood I expect my parents to tell the nurse doing the blood work that I need to lay down while taking my blood. Common ******* sense right? Well no. Things go wrong in this book (without giving away details) and then they act all surprised when everything goes down hill and very hard/life altering decisions have to be made. I feel like maybe 2 or 3 different life changing decisions could have been avoided with just a little tinsy winsy little bit of conversation would have been had.

Overall the book got a 2 star because ... well I've read worse. I did attempt book 2 (and 2/3 of book 3) and yep I'm not going any further. This series was a flop for me. Honestly though if the story flowed a bit better I might have been able to get through the series because if the writing was better it deserves a 3 star.

First I want to think the author for allowing me the opportunity to read Wolf Bound before its release. I would read the next book, but I would not rush out the day of its release. The ending was rushed. The characters were not detailed and there was no real character depth or growth. I felt like I was running a marathon with no breaks. Wolf Bound left me with more questions than answers. The story follows a young girl who is trying her best to help her aunt at the family store, keep good grades, audition for her school play, and break down the walls of her love interest. The writing was done well but sometimes hard to determine who was speaking. I had to reread a few areas just to make sure I was following. It was short which might be why it felt rushed. I can’t wait to read the next book, I just hope it will be more detailed. Overall id rate a 3.5. While I enjoyed it I was not blown away.

“If you like YA paranormal romance, girl protagonists, and dark fantasy, you'll love Wolf Bound.”

That’s what the publisher’s blurb promised, and wow Holly Hook totally more than delivered on that promise. I’m not going to do a replay of the plot as that blurb gives you all you need to know without spoiling anything. Instead I will simply note that Brianna (Brie) and Cayden’s story in Wolf Bound (The Alpha Legacy Book One) is, well, how about not just totally fun (though it is) but “wonderfully superb”? If you can think of a better superlative add that on too. But for the fact that I’m literally dictating this review my husband from my hospital bed I could go on and on with praises - the book definitely deserves it. Since I can’t do that I will simply note that the book is most definitely one to read, and it is easy to highly recommend. I’m definitely looking forward to the next book in this series.

Great start to a new series! Brie is a small town girl who loves theater. She meets a mysterious new guy to town and her life is changed forever. While going through the normal everyday events of school, homework & working at the family grocery store Brie comes to discover a whole new world of which she is part of. Werewolves are real, so are hunters and Brie’s family is far more connected than she was told. Cayden walks into Brie’s life and her world changes forever. Beauty & the Beast is a very fitting play for the school to be performing. This is a fun read. If you liked Twilight you’ll love this book. With all the excitement in book 1 can’t wait to see what book 2 has in store for us!!
I received a copy of this book for free from the author. I voluntarily review this book, this is my honest review.

3 stars to Wolf Bound by Holly Hook!

This is my first book from this author and I will say she writes well . This is a story about Brie who has lost alot in her short life and Cayden who has secrets . These two about teenagers and soon develop a relationship that shouldn't be allowed. Cayden is a werewolf and doesn’t want to get Brie involved in all that comes with it but little does he know she is more involved than either of them know. Soon secrets are revealed and danger is lurking . This book is about young love, and so much more. For me this book was good and is worth reading . I just don’t know if I will continue with the series and that to me is little bit of a let down. I think the story for me is just a little too close to other stories that i have read and did not bring much that was new to the reading experience.

⭐️⭐️⭐️3.5

First off I I’d like to thank the author very much for an advanced copy of her book in exchange for an honest review! Kudos for another book under your writer’s belt!😉
I give this book a solid 3 1/2 stars.
Brie’s family has lived in Breck for generations and the community rarely gets any newcomers. When a mysterious boy Cayden Lowe shows up at the Sterling grocery store, things are about to change for Brie...in a very drastic way!

As soon as I started reading I was lured right into the world of Brianna Sterling. I haven’t read many werewolf/lycan books but I was entertained throughout. Brie was great. I quite liked her character and think she was written well. She had some tenacity, sensibility and never became melodramatic like some typical YA protagonists. Cayden, on the other hand was good but I think he could have been developed just a little more and maybe that is because I felt the story was quite short. I didn’t think 146 pages was enough to get some really good meaty stuff in there and in part the story felt rushed. I definitely wanted more lol. I look forward to reading the next book in the series.

I loved every bit of Wolf Bound! It was a very nice to read. This book pulled me in, and after I read the first chapter, I was sucked in.

Brianna lives in a town of werewolves, but she is not one. Brianna lives with her aunt, who is also a werewolf. Brianna ends up getting bit by a werewolf and Cayden, her friend, explains to her that she is in so much pain b/c she is transitioning. The general story of this book is that Brianna finds out that her friend, Cayden, is a werewolf and her transitioning into a werewolf after she gets bit. She can fit really well against the savage pack of werewolves.

Brianna is a junior in high school who helps her Aunt May in the grocery store her family-owned. Her parents were killed in a car accident when she was young. She is also a singer and actor in school. A new student arrives named Cayden along with two siblings. There is something off about him to her. He stays to himself and has garnered a strong attraction in Brie. He infuriates her at times with his mood swings toward her. But as time goes on and she learns the truths hidden from her, it will pit her in a fight for her life and town…but there will be tragic consequences~ Will there be answers to everyone’s questions?

I love this book!!! I am so glad it is a series. I love Cayden and Brie. A lot of books lately dont build up the relationships and this definitely did. Totally different ending than I expected.

Brie lost her parents when she was four. All she has known is the store her family ran, and the town she has lived in her whole life, and her aunt. Her aunt is keeping their money problems a secret, and suddenly there is a new family in their small town. She just wants to keep what little she has of her family.

More suited for middle grade

I am so sick and tired of the word "noble." Like, have you ever heard of a synonym? The word "noble" was used in every other sentence. On top of that, the book was entirely TOO LONG. I believe this was due to the fact that it was so repetitive. She said the same the over and over. Sometimes in different ways, sometimes the exact same way, RIGHT after she just SAID it. And she took themes from other books and movies and mashed them together. This book was a total waste of time.

Good interesting and easy read

This book only gets three stars from me because it was a good book and it did keep me entertained for about 4-5 hours. I did feel as though I read the word "noble" 600 times though. 😕 I did enjoy the story and without giving any spoilers there is a pretty nice twist. The context was great and the story line had all the parts I just felt like something in it was off. It may have been the sentence structure or the wording. But it was a good story. I would recommend this book to someone who enjoys a Good paranormal story.

It was a slow but steady read. I really enjoyed the ending and will definitely read the next book. The main character Brie was great but she overused the word noble in my opinion. Which in a way made sense but it felt too much. I enjoyed finding out about Cayden and their romance was cute.

Looking forward to book 2 already. Can’t wait to see the character and relationship development that I’m hoping comes!

I have been provided with a copy of Wolf Bound by the author for an impartial review. The is the first book in the brand new The Alpha Legacy series and this was a great way to start off a series. I just loved getting to enter this new world and meet these wonderful characters. It was such a quick and easy read and I just fell in love with Brie and Cayden. I can’t wait to see what happens next with this series.

It wasn’t bad for a YA shifter romance but it focused on teen drama a bit too much and only seemed to focus on the conflict/plot for maybe the last quarter of the book. It also ended with everyone showering the main character with compliments of how special and unique she was. A little too Mary Sue for me. As others have said in their reviews, it definitely had a Twilight vibe.
It wasn’t bad but I don’t think I’ll be reading the rest of the series.

Werewolf lore for YA

An engaging story in the werewolf genre. It has the teenage angst common to YA stories, but in an overdone, annoying way. The situations and emotions are believable, which makes the characters believable. Even if they are creatures of legend. I can say it wasn't always predictable. There were some dark parts I didn't expect. Overall, I definitely enjoyed the story and look forward to the next book in the series.

I am loving this new series so far! I really like shifter stories so I knew I had to start this series. Brie and Cayden are fantastic characters, and I can't wait to learn more about them in the next books. I am intrigued by how the story is going forward and I am looking forward to seeing some questions answered in book 2.

I liked the story I got the second one to continue it cause I hate leaving series unfinished but it's something I don't feel the need to rush into. The characters were well written and the storyline was good. I felt the part that sucks you in was missing or not quite as strong as it could have been.

This was almost a DNF many times. It felt like a watered down, repetitive werewolf version of Twilight. So much back and forth with nothing being revealed and then things randomly being revealed. I was in a rush to just get through it thinking surely it had to get better somewhere but it barely did.

Absolutely loved it!

I love the shifter stories like this one, where they are in high school and some sexy stud moves to town and shows up your school and she or he are drained to each other, but the stud has already sniffed her out because she is his mate, only she doesn't know it yet lol and some bimbo tries to get his attention and jealousy rears its ugly head. Love these

2 stars - I enjoyed reading it but wouldn’t recommend it.
I enjoyed the story because it scratched an itch, but something about the emotional scenes just didn’t hit and the pacing was off. There were also many typos and a few places I lost track of who was talking, and the dialogue wasn’t very natural.

Wonderful world and character building. Sweet story of first love with a dash of danger for good measure. Lots of twists and surprises within these pages. I loved the unique concept of werewolves and the use of silver in this book and can't wait for book 2!

Solid beginning

This book was a solid beginning to the series. I enjoyed getting to know Brie and Cayden. I really wasn’t expecting some of the sadder plot twists. By the end, I wasn’t ready to say goodbye to the wolves. On to book 2. Four glittery stars!

Good book

I thought this was a great book. For me I don't like reading things
that have dirty scenes and this book doesn't have anything. I read this in a day. I couldn't put it down.
