As always, I had an awesome time reading a book from the Vic Challenger collection. The action was fast paced and there were many up’s and down’s in the story. The adventure is always welcome when I pick up one of the VIC books. I am never bored reading the stories of this incredible heroin, first created by the legendary Edgar Rice Burroughs, and then followed by the awesome ideas of Jerry Gill.
Each book of the series has it’s load of monsters and this book is no different in that, although the monster is not immediately whom we think it is. So be on the alert.
I admit, VIC is the kind of a woman I would love to be myself and I find her very inspiring for my own life. Adventure is her middle name and she often does it better than men. Still, even if she is a kick as woman, she is very feminine when she is not chasing after monsters and brutes.
I do wonder what book 8 will have in store for us. Only time will tell. But if you love action and adventure, if a woman adventuress is not something that you will shy from, if you love exotic locations and unbelievable monsters that will chill you to the bone, then this is the book for you. Heck, this is the series for you. So, why not get yourself a copy to see for yourself.
