Gabe and Josh Roman-Wyatt have been living life in the fast lane. Demanding jobs, precocious twin toddlers, an ever-growing circle of friends, and a menagerie of pets means their home is filled with love and laughter but very few quiet moments for the happy couple. Gabe’s solution is to plan a surprise vacation at a perfect hideaway where the two of them can slow things down and reconnect.

Tarlington House, a historic home located on Edisto Island in South Carolina, hosts an annual murder-mystery event which will allow Josh to use the skills he learned from his all-time favorite television detective to solve the case. The serene setting is perfect for fun days in the sun, passionate lovemaking under the stars, and a healthy wager between husbands to see who can plan the best date. But when the other guests arrive, the guys find themselves surrounded by liars and cheaters who will say or do anything to win, reminding them there’s no place like Blissville.

When a guest is killed during a vicious storm that knocks out the power and phone lines, Josh and Gabe’s murder mystery role-playing becomes a real-life whodunnit. Serve and protect will take on a deeper meaning for Gabe when he’s torn between upholding the law and protecting his husband from a ruthless killer.

Ride or Dye includes sexy sunrises, snarky banter, and swoon-worthy romance. It is the sixth and final book in the Curl Up and Dye Mysteries, which must be read in order. Ride or Dye contains sexually explicit material intended for adults 18 and older.

***** 100 STARS ! Our favorite couple is back. *****
Gabe, cop, and Josh, Hair Shop owner, are settled with the twins, and are having a surprise trip, where the men are finally getting away from the busy buzz of life.
Our regular cast is here to help and we catch up with everyone,
from the sassy birds, to a new baby, to book author, Chaz.
Gabe...

Josh...

They have a long drive to South Carolina where they'll stay at the famous Tarlington House for a week of relaxation, plus a murder mystery the guests must solve.

Lots of sexy times on the patio, in the rain, on the bed, and more, as the men are taking time for themselves. Their devotion and love is breathtaking, and near the end, I was in tears. This is to be the last in this fantastic series, but of course the Blissville Series will keep us going.

Magnificent, lovable characters, deep love and sex galore, plus a riveting plot, all keeps us happy.

The epilogue holds more excitement.

I recommend this tale and the whole Curl Up and Dye series.

4 stars!!💕💞 What a lovely way to end the series!! 😍 I love Josh and Gabe and I'm so sorry that I'm late to this party.. I completely missed this when it came out last year.. but I'm glad that I finally got a chance to say good-bye to these two.. and in such a fabulous way. 👏🤩
Josh and Gabe have come so far since their early days of meeting in the middle of murder and mayhem in Blissville; and then finding love, settling down and expanding their family. Now that they have the twins, busy professional lives, lovable family and friends and a menagerie of pets they don't always have the privacy for sexy times without getting disturbed😉. So Gabe plans a vacation in a historical and beautiful town in South Carolina where they could get some alone time together and also get a chance to participate in a murder-mystery-themed party. But can they stay out of trouble?😬. Why are the other guests behaving oddly? 😳Who is real and who is pretending?🤔 And what happens when someone is actually murdered? 😱Can Gabe and Josh solve this murder mystery and return home safe and sound?😇
Although the murder mystery was not quite as riveting as the earlier books, Gabe and Josh's love was the main theme of the story. Their undeniable chemistry and passion which is still going strong after years of marriage and kids is amazing.🔥🔥 The fact that they are so on page with each other is adorable. 😍Their personalities haven't changed but they have molded to fit with each other perfectly and that is beautiful to behold. ❤️ I confess I was a little sentimental towards the end and especially while reading the epilogue 😢 but the journey was worth it. Highly recommended to all fans of Ms Walker👍👍
(P.S. This book is not a standalone)

We bid farewell (or at least only adieu for now I hope) to Josh and Gabe Roman-Wyatt with a madcap murder mystery vacation romance full of dodgy deeds and strange happenings.

The narrative itself meandered through the usual hot and steamy relationship between these two fabulous characters - as they tried to enjoy a relaxing vacation with no kids - and a suspense element with a menagerie of vividly painted secondary characters.

I'm not going into the plot at all, suffice it to say, it wasn't what/who I expected in the end and it did throw me for a bit of a loop with the big reveal.

This whole series and the setting, with its fabulous blend of locations and a full complement of fully fleshed out supporting cast, has been a joy.

I hope this isn't the last we see of Josh, Gabe and the rest of their family, and I'm looking forward to the spin-off series' continuing with both Maeghan and Elijah's next book and the next in the Road to Blissville

Leave it to Gabe and Josh to wind up in the middle of a real murder mystery even on vacation!

I cannot think of a higher compliment to a book than this: I truly only meant to read the first chapter, but ended up going until it was finished and enjoyed every minute of it. This series has grown so much for me with characters I really care about and a family I just want to see be happy.

Told in dual POV readers get a chance to spend more time with Josh and Gabe as they leave for a sexy and relaxing week away, with a bit of mystery solving fun, while the babies are watched over by their doting grandparents and their menagerie of pets back at home.

But Gabe's careful plans keep getting screwed up...from the rental car, to his "surprise" date, to wanting Josh to be able to participate in a fun murder mystery game...and instead it turns out they wind up smack dab in the middle of a real murder and Gabe is determined to do whatever it takes to make sure Josh is protected.

Full of humor, hot sex, snark, and all the love Josh and Gabe feel for each other Ride or Dye was a blast. Is it greedy to want more Josh and Gabe?

I adore Gabe and Josh. Catching up with them is always fun. What I love most is they are an established couple who continue to love one another fully. It makes me happy.
It seems these two can never stay out of trouble. Even when they try to take a relaxing vacation it seems to find them.

Reading this was a little bit bittersweet! I'm so, so happy we've had these amazing stories with Gabe, Josh, and their friends and family, but knowing that this was the final book in their series, made me want to savor reading this one. Of course, once I started reading I couldn't stop, so so much for that! :P

I know we'll get to see them in the rest of the Blissville series, but y'know, it's not *their* series anymore, and the focus won't be on them. I have loved reading about Gabe and Josh from their snarky, love/hate beginnings, to seeing them settle in as a couple, and now as a family.

I loved that this story was mostly them against everyone else, and we got plenty of time with them loving on each other, playing with each other, and being in love with each other.

HIGHLY recommend this series! You must start with the first book as each book follows this couple.

Finishing up my 10 month long listen of all of the audios for Curl Up and Dye and the spin off series (13 books total).

It’s safe to say that Josh and Gabe and Joel’s narration of their lives became a bit of a comfort listen for me. I spend a lot of time driving and painting so I am able to get through a lot of audio, so I decided instead I’d binging, I’d listen slowly. I also decided to save this book to be the last one I read in this universe, so I listened to the Blissville books first before I finished up with Josh and Gabe’s last book.

I really love these guys and their dynamic. I love their friends and family. I love how sexy they are. I love how much they love and understand each other. I love how there isn’t useless drama thrown in once they became and established couple. It just worked. And Joel is just brilliant and I loved every minute. I have a feeling these will be comfort re-listens in the future.

Ride or Dye is the final instalment in the Curl Up and Dye Mysteries and it showed. Throughout there was this feeling that this was a goodbye. It didn’t bring anything new, but was more of a catching up with old friends to see what they were up to. Josh and Gabe are living in married bliss with their twins and extended family and friends – and their many, many pets. They have a rich and full life in every way that counts, but sometimes it’s nice to take a break from the madness.

Which is why Gabe planned a surprise getaway for him and Josh where they could relax and unwind and reconnect. So he takes him to Tarlington House, a historical house in South Carolina. It’s not only rich with history, mystery and the occasional ghost, but this time a year they also hold an annual murder mystery role play for their guests to take part in. Something Josh is very excited for.

Spending time at Tarlington was interesting for sure. None of the guests were quite as they seemed. Then again, neither were our boys – but that was all part for the game. I loved watching Josh plotting and planning and trying to figure all the guests out, it was entertaining for sure.

The book is mostly drama and conflict free, well apart from the make-believe murder mystery that ended up a bit too real for everyone involved. Barring that Josh and Gabe had time to just be, to love and explore without any pressures from the outside world. It was a bit sugary sweet at times, what with them trying to out-manoeuvre the other with the most romantic date ever. I think that’s also one of the reasons this book did feel like an ending. It’s the two of them living their happily ever after, living the lives they always dreamed about. Together.

From the beginning Joel Leslie caught my attention with his narration. I mean I had no idea just how credible he could portray a woman in labour, it was surprisingly real and heartfelt. He added so much feeling in his narration and it really draws you in and makes you connect. Another thing that I appreciated was the ghost song. From experience many narrators choose to read lyrics instead of singing them, but personally I love it when they’re sung. It’s one of those things that really enhances the sense of place and feel of the story. As for Josh and Gabe Leslie captured them both perfectly. Their personalities shone through his performance, from Josh’s sassiness and Gabe’s overprotectiveness, but more – the love between them. Leslie made you believe.

In a way I’m sad to say goodbye, but I also feel like this series has come to an end. We’ve seen our guys through so much and now they have their happily ever after.

Gabe and Roman are still hot AF together, and while there wasn't really much to the mystery in this one I still really liked it. Adored how they jump into growing their family, too.

Quote… You're my personal sunrise and sunset

When I saw that the final book in this series was released, I couldn’t wait to read it. I just needed to know how Gabe and Josh's story ended. I've followed them for a long time, and watching them being happy, having their happily ever after.

I haven't kept up with the spin-off series Road to Blissville so I was a bit lost in the beginning in regards to the timeline, some of the characters were also new. But that was only in the beginning, as most of the book focused on Gabe and Josh and their weekend away.

Gabe wanted to surprise Josh with a vacation at a beautiful historical home in South Carolina. And this vacation included a twist; during the stay all the guest would take a part in the annual murder mystery event. So their vacation is filled with intrigue and strange guests and them trying to figure out their secrets before the games begin. As usual their plans were foiled when one of the guests is found murdered. Being trapped in a hotel with a murderer and in the middle of a storm was not what Gabe had planned.

Ride or Dye was just about what I expected from the book. At times sweet and kinda sappy. Gave and Josh outdoing each other in romantic gestures. The drama and intrigue surrounded the guests at the hotel added another layer. I'm glad that Walker didn't create drama between Gabe and Josh for the drama's sake, all the drama came from outside sources. These two stayed strong throughout.

This was the last book of the Curl Up and Dye Mysteries and while it didn't really bring something new to Gabe and Josh, it was really nice to come back to visit with them. To know what they've been doing since we last left them. So in part this book could be considered an epilogue of sorts, to let us know how the guys were doing when they were settled, no ups and downs, only loving bliss. Recommended to all of Gabe and Josh's fans.

This was just so ridiculous. I don't understand why Gabe and Josh, and the rest of the guests, put on false personas to play the murder/mystery game the hotel was putting on. That is just DUMB! Granted, I've never done one of those so maybe that's normal - that doesn't make it any less stupid. I did not care for that aspect.

Aside from that, this was okay, pretty much as I expected for this series and without the kids playing a large role it didn't work as much for me. Too much of them being in love, which is great, trying to outdo the other with the most romantic date, which is sweet but still too much, and then the rest of the characters were SO OVER THE TOP!

The murder at the end was rather silly as well. I was happy when it was over, and I did skip a lot.

3ish stars.

Enjoyable, I still like the MCs but I was expecting more plot. It felt like 80% is just schoompy blissful "I love you. no I love you. I love you more. no I love you more! You're amazing. No you're the amazing one." Blah blah blah. bang bang bang. rinse repeat. etc etc etc. I was expecting the mystery to have more focus. The wrap up feels hurried and I was disappointed with the culprit. But like I said, the characters are still who they are, It's not a bad plot per se. I think I would've enjoyed it more if I knew going in what I'd get or been in a different mood.

This had a lot of potential but didn’t live up to what I wanted.

Reminded me of “The Quiet House” by Lily Morton. But to me “The Quiet House” did the whole murder mystery house so much better.

Also the ending with Josh… dear god I wanted to smack him for being so stupid, like hello have you not seen any horror movie🤦🏽‍♀️!!

Overall not my favorite of the series, but still like Josh and Gabe.

Ah, this was much better than the previous book. This Josh and Gabe I know and can relate to.

This book was a little unbalanced with the mystery only taking place in the last maybe 75% of the book but I truly enjoyed spending time with Josh and Gabe while they got themselves into hilarious and sexy situations.

Not a bad end to the series and the house murder mystery game was a nice deviation from the other mysteries. I liked this series as a whole, never really loved it but this was a nice wrap up for Gabe and Josh.

It's no secret that I love everything this woman writes, and this book is no exception!! Josh and Gabe are as snarky and sexy as ever in this final Curl Up and Dye story. So many LOL moments!! Aimee throws in a mystery that is so much fun and so damn clever. Her brain never ceases to amaze me! I'm sad to see their story "end" even though I know we will be seeing more of the boys and their ever growing family in the Blissville world. Go forth and click!!

This is one of those series that is never going to win an award for outstanding writing, best mystery, or even original ideas. But it can win for established couple and for humor, snark, and just plain fun.

I enjoyed most of the books and for this "finale" of the series (we won't count the couples' appearances in the sister series, Road to Blissville) I treated myself to the wonderful voice(s) of Joel Leslie. Josh would not be Josh without Joel's voice. Gabe would not be Gabe and those parrots would not be birds without the squeaks and squawks and curses that make this household a hoot.

There's a mystery in this last story but there's lots of lovin' and I mean LOTS of sexy times. At this point, there's not much more these two can do, and I'd be okay without the descriptive sex scenes and just enjoy the couples' banter. But it's included, so if you like the descriptive intimacies, you got 'em.

Overall, I enjoyed the author's assistance in lifting my mood throughout the year, so I end this one on a happy note.

The first book in this series was picked for me in a challenge and I devoured that and the next 4 books.
I was so excited when I found book 6 had been released. I read this in practically 1 sitting, with a little bit of work in between.
Josh and Gabe are away on a vacatiion which just happens to have a murder mystery to solve. I loved this book. If there was anything to be picky about, it was the fact the murder was solved so easily but i really loved these guys. The epilogue was wonderful too.
I know all series need to finish but I really hope there will be a book 7 here so we can see the guys with their expanded family.

2.5 Stars. I know I'm in the minority here but there just wasn't much to this book other than I love you, my life is so perfect, we still have hot sex - insert sex scene. I love you more, how did I get so lucky this is my life, I still want you passionately - insert sex scene. Oh look we are on vacation having a wonderful time together, I love you, I love you more, this is what we had for breakfast - insert sex scene blah blah blah. The mystery didn't even happen until towards the end and then the ending was rushed and the murderer was lame. Don't get me wrong I like these characters and the series but this one was just boring for me.

3.75 rounded up to 4.

Didn't love this as much as the first three, but it was still pretty good. The mystery aspect included not only a lot of people, but most of them also had aliases, so we had double the names to keep track of. So that kind of diffused how meaningful it was.

There were a number of things that were set up and never ended up happening, or that felt rushed. This book was shorter than the first few, so I'm not surprised it didn't all gel. The mystery in particular was confusing and resolved quickly and not in a satisfying manner.

I expected more for the final book in the series. It, like the Christmas book that preceded it, felt rushed. And the fact that nearly the entire thing took place in a different setting, with virtually no interaction with all of the characters we've grown to know and love, made it dissatisfying. It felt much more like a side-book - one of those X.5 ones that aren't as significant or fleshed out as the others.

Gabe and Josh's relationship continued to be explored, if lots more sex and emotional looks can be considered exploring. It was unrealistically worshipfulll and perfect, but hey, we all need that sometimes. And it had a sweet ending, if extremely rushed.

I expected a more well-thought-out and well rounded last book. It felt like an also-ran. All that said, it was fun to follow Josh and Gabe on their almost-adventure of a week-long vacation.

Audiobook: Joel Leslie was okay, but I really wish he'd explore a lower vocal range. All of his characters are in high-baritone or tenor range, even when the author explicitly says a voice is deep.I listened on Everand.

Continuing saga of Josh (Jazz) Roman-Wyatt and his husband Gabriel (Gabe) Roman-Wyatt. In this final story Gabe decides to give Josh a romantic vacation to a plantation home where activities abound and a murder mystery dinner to solve. Only hitch in the vacation is the murder mystery becomes real. Josh and Gabe are surrounded by people who aren't who they pretend and several who know each other a little too well. Gabe goes against his basic urge to solve the crime and is trying to get Josh home and away from danger when another murder attempt is made. Josh unknowingly sees the killer and is the next on the killer's list. Don't count out Josh because he shows in true fashion that his self defense classes took.
This is a well written book that gives great descriptions of the plantation and made me want to vacation there too. Josh and Gabe are their usual fantastic selves and it was nice to show them a little more settled in their life together. Sassy and Savage are hilarious as usual. A surprise birth that will always make me think of "lawn maintenance". LMAO! I love that all the characters from past books are there to support Josh and Gabe. This book is told in Josh and Gabe's POV's and I love that Ms. Walker puts a picture at the beginning of each chapter to illustrate who's POV it is. So many times I've read books that were told in two or more POV's and it wasn't always clear who was talking at any given moment, if it wasn't stated outright. Lastly I concur with others who have said I'd love to see Chaz's beta book written. Maybe Chaz and Ms. Walker could co-author it. I definitely recommend this book to anyone who likes M/M books. Great finish Ms. Walker.

It took forever to get to the plot. Time was spent in things like describing each thing they took from a long buffet. There was a lot of talk about pop culture and social media. The murder didn’t happen until 78% through when I finally slowed down from 160x times speed. That part was great. It was exactly why I read the series.

There was way way too much sex. If they weren’t having sex they were talking about sex. The short jokes about sex and those that were only a few lines were fine. But there was so much regular sex in addition it was really frustrated. This did not live up to the early books.

My favorite part was when they had a test to see who had the most experience sexually. This is based on something called The Purity Test that students at MIT put together sometime before I was in college. It started at 100 questions and by the time it was published in paperback it was 1000 questions long in the free version. (I think the book was only 500 questions.) One of the few non-sex/non-drug questions was whether you had ever eaten a lab experiment. My sister was able to say yes! (She dissected a squid in high school then the teacher sautéed the cephalopods up for them to eat. Catch my pretentious wording there?)

I have comments about the epilogue bugs I don’t want to spoil anything.

This wasn’t my favorite of the books but it was funny and the second half enjoyable. I’ll probably read the shorts.

I don’t love the reader like everyone else. He’s really good at voices and interactions but I don’t like his voice, the base of everything.

Another great add to this amazing series. The book definitely started out with excitement that you can only expect from the three crazy musketeers (Josh, Chaz and Meredith) you know and love. Old favorites have grown so much since book 1, in the best way possible. We see Trent and Tucker too which I love a good come back story and he's it. Can't wait to see how they turn out. Gabe and Josh finally get their road trip, they head to the gorgeous Tarlington House, which reminded me of the beautiful Bliss House in that it is unique, creative and somewhere I want to live. This vacation is definitely filled with some crazy characters. Through all this drama we still have the amazing Gabe and Josh; their connection and chemistry is just as strong now as it was the first time they met. What I love about these two is their love is still fresh, exciting and has me guessing what is next. I laugh with them, cry with them and cheer them on. The Epilogue was filled with the best surprises and wrapped up these two men's story perfectly. And even though the 'Curl Up And Dye Mysteries Series' is ending, the characters that started it all continue on and keep growing. With spin-off series (Road To Blissville, The Lady Is Mine) and new characters to love, the Blissville Universe lives on. I voluntarily reviewed an 'Advance Author’s Copy' of this book.
