No more hook-ups. No more fun romps in bed. That’s the vow Harper Spiers takes after he realizes he wants something more than just a one-night fling. Harper isn’t quite prepared for the sexy cowboy who sweeps him off a nightclub barstool and onto the dance floor to be that connection.
All Cody Reid meant to do when he first approached Harper was talk, but he found himself totally smitten with the adorably awkward man and couldn’t resist pulling him onto the dance floor. After he makes a blunder and Harper runs off, Cody believes he’ll never see the man who intrigues him again. Until a happenstance meeting on a city street changes everything.
Harper is reluctant the cowboy would truly want someone like him. But Cody thinks Harper could be the man he’s longed for all his life. Now all he has to do is convenience Harper that he’s meant to Dance With Him.
It's a really really sweet and fluffy love story. It's a perfect reading for a cold day, curled up on the couch with a blanket and a cup of hot cocoa ❣️😊
Liked it, didn't love it. It was long.. It's a sweet story. Well written. They date, spend time together, they discussed.. It was really great to read.. Just a tad bland for me.
Cody and Harper are just simply put, made for each other. Cody is not your typical cowboy. He’s sensitive and determined to give Harper all the time he needs. Harper has decided to end his days of pick ups and feels like he can’t trust in his feelings. I like the slow burn between the characters and the simple sweet plot.
Sweet story about opposites attracting in the best way. Cody is a cowboy and a dance instructor, Harper writes computer code, is afraid of horses and is convinced he has two left feet. But somehow, they just get each other. This story is low on angst, but high on the feels! Yum! Looking forward to Heath and Jordan's story!
With a decent editor, decent proofreader and some research this could have been a decent book. Unfortunately, it is riddled with errors which continually distracted me.
1.5 stars bumped up to 2 solely because I did like the characters.
This book was so super sweet, and I absolutely loved it. Harper has had enough with the hook up scene and decides that he is holding out for the right guy and a connection. When he meets Cody at a bar one night, there is instant attraction, but Harper doesn’t want to be tempted or deal with being shot down because he wants to go slow. Cody is intrigued by Harper, and wants to get to know Harper. They agree to getting to know each other and date with no sex. It was really refreshing seeing the characters get to know each other. Although they were dating, they really worked on building a friendship before moving to a physical relationship. It was very well written, and I fell in love with all of the main and secondary characters. I’m hoping we get some resolution to Heath and Jordan in future books. They seem like they deserve happiness.
I am voluntarily reviewing an ARC provided by LesCourt Author Services
Dance With Him is the first I've read by this author. It won't be the last. One thing before I go on... I have not been able to get the 1977 song "Dance With Me" by Orleans out of my head since I started reading this book. It's a good song though, so from me to you, fellow reader, you're welcome. lol With a minimum of words, the Colorado landscape, where the story is located, is easily envisioned: I could almost feel the crisp cold of the season and smell the different scents of the horses and barns as the characters moved from scene to scene. All of the characters are well fleshed out and interesting, not just the main characters. Even the one guy at the place that said the thing was interesting. (Oops, forgot about the lady who was the dance partner. There. That's the bad thing in this book. That one character is generic. Lol) Harper and Cody are a lovely couple who take their time getting to know each other rather than immediately acting on the desire they both feel. By learning about the other, they each appreciate the closeness they feel more than if they had just jumped into bed together. Their feelings are strong, their passion is real and intense, and their HEA is satisfying. I look forward to more from this author.
I liked this book. Cody and Harper are good guys that can't stop thinking of each other after one night of dancing. Cody wants more from the cute nerd that he met at a club, but as soon as he badly makes his attraction known, the cutie runs away. Harper is tired of doing the walk of shame and wants to find a guy that he has a connection with. He promised himself that there would be no more sex. He had to run before he broke his pact.
These guys are cute with how they meet again, explore different dates, and get to know each other. Harper hasn't felt a connection with anyone except his best friend, Jordan, and Jordan's older brother. He didn't know what to make of Cody, but he is going to give him a try. This might be the best or worst idea that he has had.
This is a really sweet book that is about the emotional connection between people. There is sex towards the end. Just saying.
I received an ARC of this book from LesCourt Author Services. This is my honest opinion and review.
This is the first book I have read by this author and it will not be my last as I really enjoyed it. It is a fun, sweet, romantic and entertaining story that kept me engaged until the end. Harper and Cody are amazing and I love both of them because they are so unique and intriguing in their own ways. Harper is determined to keep his vow of celibacy and Cody is just as determined to help him keep it while they take their time getting to know each other. Even though they come from very different backgrounds they are perfect for each other and the connection between them is smoking hot and well worth the wait. I like that their relationship develops slowly and how they introduce each other to the important people in their lives right away. The time they spend at the ranch is my favorite part of the story. The secondary characters are wonderful and I love the ending. I look forward to reading the next book in this new and exciting series.
You will want to curl up with a cup of Cocoa when you read Dance With Him! It is such an adorable story! A story about finding trust, finding that connection and finding your one! Harper is a gorgeous geek that has decided he is too old for one night stands anymore and he wants to find something meaningful. So when his pixie friend Jordan suggests going to the club, he doesn’t expect that his chance at finding these things will later happen when a gorgeous cowboy asks him to dance. Cody isn’t your typical cowboy. He is a dancer and teaches in his studio, but helps on his fathers ranch.
A slow burn love story, that will make you feel apart of their connection as we are taken on the journey of love, hope, courage and finding your HEA!
Hours after finishing this book and even sleeping on it before writing this review and I still can't figure out what to write. This book a great book.
I wish for a Cody of my own. His patience and understanding towards Harper and his request for no sex but to build a connection first is amazing. These 2 have completely different views on love but even when Harper has his freak outs, Cody is still there patiently waiting.
The author does a great job in joining us for the next book because I NEED to know what happens with Jordan and Heath!!
Again truly amazing book and a def read again story.
Harper has sworn off hookups and sexy romps, wanting to find a real connection instead. Then he meets gorgeous cowboy, Cody. But Cody scares Harper off and they think they will never see each other again. Fate has other plans. Soon they are starting a relationship... a slow burn relationship.
Adorable Harper is too cute. Cody is sweet and sexy. I love these guys. The slow burn of their romance was great, build up the connection before hot attraction took over. And I need to know more about Heath and Jordan!
I received this book as an advanced reader's copy and voluntarily am leaving my honest review and recommendation.
This book was such a sweet read. Harper and Cody took their time getting to know each other while dating. They were sweet together and Cody was so very patient because he understood by taking things slow he would be rewarded in the end.
We went on some pretty awesome dates with them and hung our with some awesome friends. The author has set up the next book in the series beautifully.
Read this book to see their special relationship , sweetness, and I think most importantly how well they communicated once things got rolling
I personally can’t wait for book 2and to catch up with these guys
This is a love story and about taking the time to fall in love. It's sweet, cute and a slow burn to the happy ending with well written multifaceted main characters who are fighting through fears and trying to not do things wrong to lose the connection they have found, it's secondary characters are just as involved and I do hope that we get Jordan's story as I think there is more to tell. I really enjoyed this book and recommend it. I was given an ARC for an honest review
This was my first time reading Winter’s and it definitely won’t be my last! This was an exceptionally sweet story and I loved the slow burn romance between Cody and Harper. It was nice to see them develop a relationship before having sexy times! I loved the minor characters and can’t wait to see what happens between Jordan and Heath.
Well I just found a new automatic buy author! I loved Dance With Him. This book was just what I needed. It is a fun, sweet, romantic read that I just got lost in.
I really enjoyed that the author allowed us the time to really get to know Harper and Cody. This added so much depth to the story.
Sometimes it takes an outsider looking in to make you realize what you’ve been looking for is right in front of you. Love is patient, love is kind and when those two things are found in someone you need to grab hold of them with both hands and not let go.
This was my first read from this author and I'm glad I took that chance. Dance With Him was beautiful slow burn love story, with little angst or drama. I loved reading the way Cody and Harper got to know each other and fall in love. I look forward to reading more.
Trust is an amazing quality to inspire in someone else. Being afraid that attraction to another is merely physical, one young man discovers what love is really all about.
