A man with a past. A second chance at love. And a third overpowering earthquake. Heartbroken at the death of his fiancée, Bryce Poole vows revenge on Arianne’s brother, the man he holds responsible. Under the alias, Bob Rivers, he establishes himself as a rival keelboat captain and plans to ruin Sebastien. However, when he discovers the unexpected opportunity to travel to the future, he chooses a new life over continuing to persecute his enemy. Unknown to Bryce, Arianne didn’t actually die in 1805. Her magical crystal necklace transported her to the future where she has been working as a tour guide and raising her young daughter. She is happy, but still misses her daughter’s father even though she thinks he abandoned her. Bryce’s trip to the future reunites him with Arianne and the couple has a chance to reclaim their lost love. But Bryce’s arrival seems to have changed the timeline and endangered Arianne’s brother. If they return to the past to restore the timeline, will Bryce’s past actions return to haunt him? And can they survive the final major upheaval of the New Madrid fault? Time Rebound is the second book in the Blue Crystal Time Travel fantasy romance series. If you like action/adventure romance, time travel and a touch of magic, you’ll love the Blue Crystal historical fantasy books.
An enjoyable time travel romance with much frontier fun. I enjoyed the riverboat aspects especially from the past, a great sense of place (especially for a Brit as it's alien in many ways!). The main male character is a bit of a rough one, softened by his love for his lost wife who he finds again through time travel. It made me want to read the first one as there are call backs to that, but it can be read as a stand alone.
Three stars There is no love lost in this book.. Bryce find Ari in the future and has to adjust to being a father... They decide to go back in time and every one wants the necklace and It ends up with Bryce father the crook has control.. So so ending
Time Rebound by Cathy Peper Blue Crystal Time Travel Series Book Two Bryce Poole had done it. He'd made it to the twenty-first century with the necklace he took from Tori. He didn't think it would really work, but here he was in a strange, new world.
Arianne “Ari” La Roche aka Anne Rush had been living in the future for four years. She had Hannah, her daughter, to keep her company but she still felt lonely. Her friend Tori had disappeared after Ari gave her the necklace that had brought her to this century. And most likely send Tori back. All these conveniences were great, but at times Ari missed the simpler times. And her brother.
The author writes in such a way that I can almost feel how these characters do. The strange world around them when they come from the past to the present. And from the present to the past. Seeing the same towns two centuries later. Love this series! **Sexual content http://justjudysjumbles.blogspot.com/...
This book has so much adventure and suspense. The blue crystal brings temptation to everyone who sees or acquires it. I’m sure the 1800’s earthquake was a horrifying devastation to the people of the era. I can’t even imagine something like it happening with no hint or warning. What will happen with the stone in the next book? I can’t wait to read it. I recommend the series. It has to be read in order, if not, you loss the whole story and timeline.
time travel happens mysteriously and little can be controlled. There seem to be shady characters in every scene and both times. one detail I caught incorrect was when talking about researching the past with censuses for 1820,1830, and1840 details about women's names and those of children were found. everyone who does genealogy knows that members other than head of households were not listed before 1850.
Loved the characters, well developed and believable in their relationships. The author created a story with a lot of grey rather than being morally judgemental on what is good and bad
The story was good. It was not as good as the first story. I'm glad the two couples married at the end. They were ready to spend their lives on the nineteen hundreds. Nice read.
This book continues the journey. The main characters come together to journey through 1812 America while battling the natural disasters of the past. An unexpected encounter leads to an ending that allows for further adventures.
For a time travel story this one beats all of the other stories I’ve read. It’s definitely a page turner filled with excitement and mystery. Once you begin reading you can’t stop until the end. If you don’t read another book this year this is the one to read!
