Chasing Di'Maggio: Book 1 of the Chasing Di'Maggio Series

Matthew "Matty" Di’Maggio and Nicolette "Nico" Richards are thrown into a rather difficult situation. Their families want them to marry for the sake of Matty’s dying Grandma... Now it’s simple really; all they have to do is get married and pretend to be a couple in love. There goes that word “love.” The question at hand is do they love each other or is it one-sided? Matty’s problem is that he’s in love with Nico, and Nico’s problem is that she’s in love with Matty, so why is it so hard for them to believe that they have to go through with this? Because they are two people who are in love with each other but hiding it from one another, making their journey much more difficult than it should be. What do you get when you mix Nico’s vibrant, happy, smiling personality with Matty’s angry, annoyed, dominating personality? ... Let the chasing begin.

Poorly written

The whole book was long paragraphs of narrative. I selected this book because I liked the author Elizabeth. I see now this author is Elizabeth U. Initially I figured this might have been an early work, in any event the writing is bad, the story Stupid. If the Hero and Heroine simply had a conversation I would have been put out of my misery much faster. As it was I only read a few lines from each page. Do NOT waste your time.

Slow going

This book starts off slow and is really hard to get into because it’s so repetitive. I read it because I’ve read other books by her that were better. I think this was one of her earlier books and I’m glad that I read others first so that I can see that she is a good author. She got better which is always a good thing in life. We live and we learn. So I’ll read the next one too.

Nico and Matty - Paradise or Not

SPOILERS.
Great book! Loved Nico and Gabe. Matty…I had some issues with him and the way he was so closed off especially when Taylor entered the picture. How he jumped out of the car, with Nico in it, and ran to Taylor! Like what the H!!! I also thought it was strange that Matty had a condom in his pocket, that he used, when he had sex with his wife…He hadn’t used one before. Why now?

More Like Running From Di’Maggio...

Matty and Nick were a wonderfully frustrating couple to read about. They would have experienced less hurt and disappointment if they would have only admitted their true feelings in to one another. I am on to the second book to see how these two now fair that they now know how each other feels.
