In the ART OF MOTHERHOOD, Karen Stubbs, teaches moms that they are not alone in their journey of motherhood. Our Children are like a painting, entering the world as a blank canvas. There is a Master Artist, God. Learn to walk alongside Master Artist as He teaches you how to develop, nurture and grow your children into a beautiful masterpiece. Learn to trust Him, hear His voice, and rest in His sovereign will for your children. Experience joy and peace like never before in parenting.
Short and sweet, but a good reminder that the Lord is the master artist when crafting our children and His grace covers our kids and us as mothers! Three starts because it was short, so I didn’t like that she repeated some points I hadn’t forgotten yet because it was just a few pages before that she said it the first time.
This is a very quick read, perfect for a busy mom. Each chapter is small enough to squeeze into that busy mom schedule. I found this very uplifting and encouraging. It refocused me on to who the real master is. I will be passing this on to another mom soon.
A conversation with Karen that reads easily. Filled with reminders of God’s grace and sovereignty. I got her illustration of the mural painting, as I’m not a good artist my self, some parts fell a little flat though. Karen is a great voice for moms to keep around for reminders of Truth.
So timely! With 3 teen sons, I’ve felt that this season of parenting has been the hardest and I’ve been failing. This encouragement reminded me what my role is and what our Master’s is! Plus, I loved the analogy because I’m not an “artist” either. 😉
Such an encouraging little book. Read it over my coffee this morning and felt uplifted and encouraged and ready to tackle the day of mommying. Will be passing this on to another mama.
I just love Karen Stubbs. What a great reminder— that “we are perfectly paired together by God” and God will continue to pursue our kids. Loved this book! Can’t wait for the Soar conference.
