Madison is about to get intercepted by a man from her past. Luckily her guys have a good defense.
When I inherited a pro football team in Birmingham, Alabama, they were the worst in the league. And I was an even worse owner.
That was six weeks ago, at the beginning of preseason.
Since then, the team’s won some games, lost a coach (well, okay, I fired the jerk), and tied up a lot of loose ends.
Not all of them, though. I’m still seriously interested in three of the players—and they like me, even if I’m an idiot about football. But they—and their game—are subjects I’m willing to tackle. Three times over, if I can just get the chance.
And then my ex-boyfriend shows up, and he's got some seriously offensive plays. Too bad for him, I've learned a few of my own lately.

Second and Five was great addition to the series. I enjoyed seeing Madison grow and get back in touch with her creative businesses side. She’s starting to finally gain back confidence and overcome what her ex-boyfriend did to her. Madison and her team have come a long way. They still have a lot of trials to face but there’s hope they’ll come out on top. The ending made me a little sad but I’m optimistic about what’s going to happen in next book. I can’t wait for Third and Goal.
I really enjoyed getting back into the world of football and following around the newbie owner. I've really been enjoying how Madison has been handling everything and all her new ideas. I've also liked the fact that the guys haven't just fallen in line and made it all easy. I'm really enjoying the more realistic parts and also how the guys each have their own personalities. I'm really loving this series and I can't wait to see where these authors go with this story.
This is Second and Five, book 2 of the A Team Of Her Own series written by Erin Hayes and Margo Bond Collins. What’s better than having a huge hot football player as your boyfriend? How about having TWO of them? And maybe just. One. More?!?!! This is a great series and I’m dying too read Rodney’s story!
I am loving this story. Madison is definitely someone I would be friends with. We would bond over our bassets. I think her ex should have at least received a swift kick in the junk though.
