I was informed this this book is a porn story, which cracks me up. The book I meant to review is the one by Sayara Murata. Hilarious take on normal. So unique it’s hard to describe. I loved this quirky little masterpiece.

Cute, short, sweet, and simple read. Reminiscent of “Flowers from Algernon” as a story that’s in the POV of a character with a form of developmental or learning disability. So much is learned through the context of the character’s interactions versus her actual reflections and understanding. Love the social commentary on societal expectations for women, and even men, when it comes to work and marriage. The expectations may look different superficially, but deep down it’s a timeless theme that spans across cultures. I recommend the book for a light read with a straight to the point philosophical commentary on society.
