Not every chapter was something that I was interested in, but the ones I was, the content was awesome. I also really appreciate how well put together the book was. Attention to quality of print and design, makes sense I guess :)

Do you know the feeling that you get when you go to a conference and find out what all your peers have been working on? It's inspiring and overwhelming at the same time—Smashing Book #6 gave me this exact feeling.

There's great information on all sorts of aspects of working on the web, and I feel that I have a little more understanding of all of them now.

For example, I've been a little overwhelmed with understanding Progressive Web Apps, but now I have a good understanding of Service Workers—and that seems much more manageable of a route to research than PWAs in general. I also learned a lot about programming bots, and while I didn't program along with the examples, it did prompt me to look into my own Alexa whereupon I found users could program custom routines using the app.

Vitaly's chapter about bringing personality back to the web was also inspiring. These days it seems that every web page begins to look the same—how can we take a "signature" piece of our design and use it to spice up our pages?

Aside from the perfect score for all the informative content, I'd have to dock .5 star for the minimal, but noticeable, errors that appeared in the text and out-of-order/broken examples. (Read on SitePoint.)
