There’s nothing traditional about Angel Wylde and the men in her life. She’s fallen for two brothers, Christian and Daniel Shore—a hot cop and a sexy doctor who provide her with more than just toe-curling sex. Then there’s Steve, an undercover cop who’s decided she needs his protection from Adrian, the crime boss who believes Angel has evidence that will bring down his lucrative empire.
After the death of her abusive ex, Angel must decide who to trust with the ledger she’s inherited. Handing it over to Adrian may save her life but his reign of terror on the city she loves will continue. Giving it to the police—who promise her protection she knows they can’t deliver on—won’t save her. Nor will it keep the two men she’s in love with in her life.
As the deadline for her decision looms Angel faces a choice that could ruin her life, or worse, end it.
Jan Graham is an author of Contemporary Romance and Romantic Suspense. Her stories contain erotic elements, with some including elements of BDSM. She has numerous published titles to her credit, with more to come once she overcomes her current bout of procrastination. Jan lives in Newcastle, Australia where she writes, reads, feeds her Netflix addiction and drinks coffee with friends. For those who enjoy labels and tags, as well as being an author, Jan is a submissive, an aunt, dyslexic, a lover of all things tempting and naughty (including chocolate), a participant in the BDSM community, a widow, an orphan, and sometimes, a wild child. In short, she is generally a bit of an eccentric who lives her life slightly left of center. You can find out more about Jan and her work by stalking her on the various social media sites where she occasionally hangs out.
I Love Angel, even more I understand Angel. Angel is a victim of the evil some people can inflict on others but she still holds onto the smallest amount of hope that not all people are just plain evil, she is no sappy whining women, she is stronger than she thinks and smart enough to save herself. Whilst she finds it so hard to trust anyone she must eventually be brave enough to trust the wonderful strong and protective Dom brothers she meets. I really enjoyed Angels journey, there is suspense enough to keep me turning the pages. There were laugh out loud moments and some tears, Twists and turns that I did not see coming, and I fell in love with many of the characters. Oh did I mention it is HOT? it is hot, fan yourself hot, The BDSM is not too confronting for me as a reader it is in fact very sexy. The crime in the novel is very believable. I am a big fan of a decent length book that I can read over a couple of days, that draws you in and holds your attention, I am a fan of well developed characters, who are sometimes a little flawed but also believable, this book delivered all this for me.
This book is so much more than what the summary describes. I'll be honest, when I first started to read Finding Angel I didn't expect to fall in love with all of the characters, main and secondary, but as the story went on I was sucked in and couldn't put it down.
I felt like there were two different books in one. Angel Wylde has been in an abusive relationship for the past five years (really, all of her life) and is dealing with the cops and an organized crime boss after his death. Christian and Daniel Shore are half-brothers who are Doms and like to share their women. When they first meet Angel they feel a soul connection to her, but she tells them she's not ready to get involved with anyone right now. Things happen, and she ends up staying at their house. This part of the book was pretty much just constant sex between the three MCs. I found much of the situation implausible There were a few episodes of some light bondage and discipline, but I was surprised at how little BDSM there was considering a) the book as put out as a BDSM book and b) the guys are supposed Doms who belong to a kink club and have been looking for a sub. I was close to putting this book down about midway through and not picking it up again, but then the story shifts to a real story. There is a lot of excitement and suspense due to Angel's ex's dealings and we get to know the characters much better. Once all this starts, there is very little sex in the book and any mention is very general - like it said previously, its like two different books or maybe two different authors wrote the different parts? The last third of the book made up for the beginning, so I'd rate this 3 stars.
How many villains is too much in your romance? This is a pretty sad example of a romance. Let me name the villains....Samuel, Adrian, Markham, Wylde brothers, Wylde father, and many more other abusive men. Was that enough nasty men for you? It certainly was enough for me. I don't even want to think of the awful sexually abusive acts that were done to the heroine and are mentioned in this book. Also, the book is thick with overlaid plots, there's hating brothers, a hating father, a hating villainous husband, also pimping husband, a mother with cancer, a car accident killing mothers of the Hs, abandonment of the h, selling of h to the aforementioned husband by the aforementioned father, stabbing the h in the neck when she tries to escape and other violence, bdsm heroes, menage of 2H brothers and the h, a long lost brother, a drug cartel villain who loves the h, a creepy detective, the wife of long lost brother has cancer...and it goes on and on and on. The only reason I give this book 2* is because of the father of the 2Hs, his part in the story was amusing, given that this is a romance it was a pretty sad example of that. Do not reccommend this one.
Angel has gone through a lot in her life, survived an evil that should only be imagined and still somehow looks for some kind of goodness instead of just giving up. I loved her to start, unfortunately she annoyed me in the end with some of her actions, thoughts, and feelings; I wanted to reach in and smack her upside the head. The brothers round each other out well and work well as a duo. Angel and Steve were a great read with how their relationship went from annoyance, anger, tears and sadness to laughter and understanding; it was VERY well written.
**UPDATE** After reading the other books, all the unexpected twists and turns now make more sense and make the book even better as a lot of this book sets up the rest of the series.
Blown away with this book. I wasn't expecting to be so drawn into the story but found I didn't want to put it down. I needed to know what was happening to Angel. She had such an awful life to date she needed to be cherished and looked after. The Shore brothers did that just fine, loved the twist with the baddie! This is going on my TBR again list....awesome
