The second story in the Moody & The Ghost series continues to hold my attention. The protagonist is strong-willed and I really like her, her cousin, and Carlos, her other employee. The ghost is all-important to her now, and it’s interesting to see how she handles questions about her sight with someone out to expose her. I’m looking forward to reading book three!

Drones, blogs and love

A good read but I'm not really sure were this is going. The plot was to find his body and let him move on but nothing in this book suggests that she is even trying to do so. The characters are great but for a self assured woman - why doesn't she admit she's blind and put her foot down on her mother's shenanigans. It is her house after all and her mother is a guest!
Getting her dog back has greatly lifted her depressed spirits especially after reading the blog that seems to be targeting her on a regular basis. Now all she has to do is clear up the unsettled ghost in the restaurant. Attempted murder, her mother causing havoc and more information from the ghost Caspian. Can she get the blogger of her case? Will she ever stand up to her mother? Will her powers ever return?

OMG I love this series so much. I just finished this book and I immediately bought the 3rd book in the series. Yes, there are cliff-hangers at the end of books 1 & 2 but I love these characters (except two) and am so glad that I got them. Ok, I got them and read them. Sometimes, ok, a lot of times I buy ebooks and I forget about them.

These I read and they make me so happy. I will start the 3rd book today and I have to know the answers to the mystery. How did the dashing Sea Captain die? What will happen with Bryn? Will Eve and Jimmy Big Ears start seeing each other? Will Hodor finally find Moonraker? It's such a fun, exciting story and I will have to read more from this author.

I enjoyed this second in the series. Moody is being targeted by someone who is trying to discredit her abilities and considering she is having trouble with her psychic abilities she is worried. This story also continues on with the history of the Captain whom she is trying to help, throw in her mother's unexpected stay, Moody has her hands full.
I will continue on with this story, I find it totally entertaining.

Book two picks up with Bryndle Moody telling her ghost guide, Caspian Cortez that they are leaving for a few days. Bryn and her team members, Eve and Carlos are heading to a job at the Eatery Restaurant to confront a ghost that the owner was having issues with. Bryn hopes that Caspian can meet her at the job. Also, Hodor was being excused early from the Guide Dog School, so he gets to come home.

Eve, Bryndle's cousin, informs Bryn that Bane Jackson, a skeptical paranormal blogger who sets out to debunk psychics has set his sights on Bryn. He posted footage of the three of them walking outside the home that Bryn has inherited. Bryn is hiding the fact that the accident that took her husband's life has left her blind.

They are able to make a connection with Mary, the ghost at the Eatery Restaurant, who has a very detailed message to give to Jim, the owner. Although, it's been filmed, Moody Investigations may not be able to use the footage, if what Mary has revealed is true.

Against Bryn's better judgment, she agrees to bring her mother, Rachel, back with her to Cove House, but as they arrive at the home, Rachel, gets very agitated informing Bryn, that they've been to the house before. Rachel believes that a ghost killed an Alive in the house. When Bryn refuses to leave, her mother decides to stick to Bryn, including sharing her bedroom.

It is both Rachel and Bryn who are surprised to learn, that not only is Caspian still haunting Cove House, but he can be seen and heard by Rachel. Problem is, the impression given is that Rachel and Caspian are very familiar with one another. The two, also; have a secret that neither will divulge to Bryn. Bryn, also, hides the fact from Rachel, whenever Caspian is in the same room with her that she can see.

In trying to find a way to get Bane Jackson off their back, Rachel does the unthinkable! While out with Eve, they bump into Bane, and Rachel invites him for dinner. Bryn has a dilemma on her hands, how will she act like a sighted person in front of Bane, but maintain she is blind to her mother?

There was so many laugh out loud parts! I love the banter between Rachel and Bryn, they have an interesting relationship. There's a nice twist at the end where I can't wait to start the third book! If you enjoy the paranormal genre, you'll want to read this series!!

Bryndle has psychic abilities or had until a tragic accident that killed her husband and took away her abilities, so she’s been faking it to all her viewers on YouTube and on top of that all of a sudden a man, Bane Jackson is now out to prove she’s a fake and a phony and wants to destroy her.. and he has his reasons why... when Bryn is in the presence of the Handsome Spanish sea captains ghost, Caspian Cortez she can see... and while in his presence she sees this rude Bane Jackson and is left speechless at what she sees... and now Spanish Ghost Caspian Cortez has his own little secret he needs to tell her... things are really getting heated up good and bad in the second book of Moody’s Ghost.... once I started reading I did not want to put it down but even more I was disappointed when it ended, I couldn’t believe I read it straight through, it’s that good but you’ve got to read the first book to see how they get to where they are in this one... this is becoming one of my all time favorite series... I can’t wait for the next one, it can’t come soon enough... Author Kim Hornsby is a very talented writer... all of her books leave you on the edge of your seat and wanting more... demanding more...... Needing more.... ❤️📚📚📚

If you enjoy a lighthearted mystery with a sexy Spanish captain, a blind paranormal investigator and a goofy dog that failed guide dog training, this is perfect for you. Bryndle and peers are continuing their work connecting to spirits in her inherited home, lots of questions for Caspian. A horrible blogger is trying to "out" Bryndle as a fake causing plenty of stress. While dealing with Rachel, the mom, you can't help but roll your eyes at her antics. The crew has great chemistry, our mystery is still a bit of work in progress, and we learned quite a lot about Caspian. I highly recommend reading the previous book for better background but Hornsby does a wonderful job of reminding readers. I received my copy early and voluntarily wrote this review.

Don't miss this series. I had to give it a four star, because I don't like cliff hangers. Actually isn't one; it concludes, but I NEED to know what happens next. It is just like the first in the series. The plot is very creative. Characters are real. As I have said before, a ghost in a story usually scares me, but in this series, the ghosts are unusual and while mean at times, they are just short of hilarious. In fact parts of the book are quite funny, especially how Moody interacts with her mother. It was a quick and very interesting read. One will enjoy this lighthearted book.

I want to read Book 3 in the series already!!!
Oh my god, this book just increased my satisfaction level from this series by a 1000-fold! I was high on adrenaline during the peak moments and as tensed as the character was probably. The author left the book on a cliffhanger and I cannot wait to read Book three! As is with Ms Kim Hornsby, this story has excellent writing, exactly suited to the mood of the scene, it gets you so involved in the book you can't come out of it until you finish the book.

It is very rare that I rate any book with 5 stars. I enjoyed the first book in the series so much that I just had to get the rest. This is the second book in the series. I was immediately drawn into the story. I don't know how to describe the writing, I just want to say it was so smooth that it drew me in and kept me captivated until the end of the book. I love the characters, the plot, the special twists and turns that the story takes. With these two books, I have become a huge fan of the author. I highly recommend this book.

What an incredible series. I could not put this book down. Kim Hornsby can certainly tell a paranormal story that has romance and mystery. The characters are so well defined that they come to life right before your eyes. Her descriptions are so clear that you forget you are reading a book, you enter the world she created. Plus, you may find your heart beating just a bit faster for a certain ghost.

It had many twists and turns and kept me guessing. It is very well written and funny it had me laughing out loud. Again this book like the first ends in a cliffhanger. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series. I really enjoyed this book it is a light hearted mystery.

Literally Seeing Ghosts

This was the second book in the MOODY MYSTERIES SERIES and I can't wait to read Book 3.
Author Kim Hornsby has created a very good story line that brings together Ghosts and Alive characters. BATTEN DOWN adds a challenge to the Paranormal Investigation team when a blogger questions their integrity. The characters are unique and the dialog is fast paced.

You’ll believe in ghosts after this

A fun, quick paced read that will keep you engaged from the first page. Bryndle Moody and crew are back for a second book and hunting more ghosts. Surprises are in store and that’s all I’ll say. You just have to read it for yourself.

Binge-worthy series!

If I wasn't quite hooked into Moody and the Ghost in book 1, I certainly am now. I'm fully in as a member of the crew! Fun read, mysteries to solve, characters to like and dislike, romance (sorta, but not sappy), and a dog!

Cliffhanger

Lovely story but stops abruptly and says "the end for now". This just makes me angry at the author. I do not recommend this book.
