Lost In That Hood Love #1

Lost In That Hood Love

Rate this book
After leaving the streets alone, Cage Andrews' life is perfect in his eyes. More money than he can spend in a lifetime and women at his beck and call. In less than twenty-four hours, Cage's priorities change with the birth of his son, which he wasn’t expecting, and a chance encounter with a woman who quickly piques his interest. They say you find what you need when you stop looking, and that is definitely the case when Cage crosses paths with Desai. Not to mention the fact that his twin brother is still heavily in the streets, placing Cage, in the middle of a situation that is threatening to pull him back into the life he promised to never return to. Can Cage learn to balance his new responsibilities and keep the drama at bay, or will he be forced to choose between responsibilities and love?

Crane Andrews is still deep in the streets and had no plans to quit living the fast life anytime soon. Although Crane loves and is very much dedicated to his fiance, he often finds himself sharing a bed with other women. Until now, he has always been able to keep that side of his life hidden. When paths cross, and his worlds collide, Crane has to do damage control. Chaos from the streets slithers into the mix of the drama in his personal life, and Crane quickly realizes that it might all be too much to handle on his own.

These twin brothers have always had each other's back, and nothing has changed for them other than the fact that there may be another Andrews who needs the same protection. Will they be able to maintain balance, or will the chaos of it all be too much and take them under?

Cage

It’s something about those twins baby! But Cage is definitely Bae for me! He can get it! He’s a good one . I’m going to need Crane to get his ish together seriously! I can’t wait for Smith sorry behind to get hers! Like really? I hope Shy & Desai tag her! Priest has got to go ASAP. I couldn’t get enough of this book! The 28th is so far😩. Outstanding

Hum,don't know how to feel but this is definitely not what I thought!!?

Hum, ok, not really what I thought it was going to be and am a little annoyed at how slow and not captivated as the story should be but it still was ok; it's a K.C mills story, so....
Cage is the level headed brother/twin who is acting much more mature than his brother. He is getting to be bae status except that he is boring or sounds boring truthfully.
Cane is the hot headed brother/twin and although he is hot headed he is as boring as Cage.
Desai, is supposed to be fun and loyal, and independent but she seemed to be naive and there is so much mystery surrounding her that it's mind boggling.
Shyneese "shy", is as independent, self employed, business oriented but very naive and not boss at all.
Now that said there are several things that got me heated and here are a few: 1) how did Desai got her living as such? House, car, and all under her name , and now a shop when she only worked at a bar; something doesn't add up. 2) and where or what happened to her family and how did she met up with Smith? 3) Qnd Why, why does she sound so weak but she supposed to be this smart, intelligent, independent boss lady, and yet she can't even get herself together, where are her families as well? 4) Cage, how do you tell Cane, he needed to drop Smith when you have not dropped Raykya? 5) and Cane, you are a boss, a kingpin, a street thug, yet you don't know what's happening to your blocks and when you do find out, you are not out here to handle it, chuips, that simply does not make sense.
I could keep on going and going but it truly was boring because Cage and Cane needed to step up to the gangster title that they have as well as the bosses of bosses. The only good Andrews that is all that and bae so far is Rakheem, oh yeah he is bae... Now let me go to part 2 and see if it's better...

Boring

Laaaawd, where was the action? Huh? This story has been dragged out way too long. I hate starting a book and not finishing it so believe me I was dying to finish this LITERALLY. I wanna read more about Rekeem than anything he seem like he don’t play that... any who I don’t see how Cage don’t understand why reynah feel the way she feels... it ain’t right but things like that happens and like she said she gone work on becoming better. He just gave up on her completely, I don’t even understand how he hated her for getting pregnant but go right on with the next woman. 💁🏾‍♀️ like boy gone.. she ain’t even do nothing that bad. Everybody saying how they don’t like her vibes but I don’t see where or why people don’t like Reyah.. Desai Issa dummy who needs to drop that best friend of hers... Crane Issa boring, only thing excited me about him is when he dropped those two traders. Shy Issa boring too. I’m done.

Yeah It's Good!

When I started this story it was with the notion that I would be getting the same thing, well this was not the case. What I got was a well rounded story about the lives of people trying to make it in whatever it is they are doing and not to mention coming home alive. The writer pulls us into the complex lives of Crane and Cage and they women they love and the family they care about.I love that we get a strong showing of sista's doing for themselves. The dialogue is good even if at times it gets a little stiff, not in a bad way just the way people do when the situation is awkward. The character development is good because you get the feeling you know these people or it could be you. This story is relatable because the story is dealing with real relationship problems. This is good writing and a enjoyable experience, but it ends on a cliffhanger and let me tell you I screamed! Until the next installment I will be sitting and waiting and wondering.

Onto Book 2

Ms. Mills you NEVER disappoint! And to think I've had this gem for this long and I'm just now getting to it. Okay so here goes.

Cage and Desai are so cute. Their connection has been there since the beginning. I'm glad they got each other the way they do.

Crane and Shy: Crane broke my boo sumn serious smh he was so selfish it don't make no sense. I hope it works out for them.

Smith: ain't no way I could've been her friend or associate because honestly that's what Desai and her are. She is way too trifling and had this sense of entitlement about her.

Keem and Leah: Keem really is a stand up guy. Leah is living a double life and ion feel bad for the wrath that Keen is about to unleash on her.

Mika: should've minded her business gift

Reyah: I'm glad she realized she needed help.

Engaging

This story was engaging from the beginning and flowed well. I also think the characters were well written. My favorites are Cage, Desai and Shy. Crane is going to have to be thought a lesson because he thinks Shy will always stick around.

I recommend this book because it will keep you entertained.

KC Mills Impressive as Always

Wow. This had me caught up from the first page. Those Andrews brothers are a force to be reckoned with. I would love to see all three of them together. Smith is one of those types of women that make my skin crawl. Crane was most definitely wrong for entertaining her but she should value herself more. I feel so bad for Cane's baby mama. She so wrapped up in the idea of being with that man that she can't be there for her baby. This is a prime example that having a baby does not keep a man. I love Desai's character. She is so laid back and easy going but she is not for the mess or drama. I can't wait to read part 2.

Great read

Where do I begin! Cage is bae and I hope he and and Desai continue to flourish because they are super cute together. Her friend Smith is nothing but the devil and I was hoping she got shot when the fun shots rang out because she deserved to be brought down a notch or two. I hope that Priest does her far worse than Crane ever did. Crane may have taken two steps back with Smith showing up at her event even though it wasn't his fault. Rakeem, Crane and Cage needs to put their differences aside and team up because together I think they would be lethal and not to mention sexy brothers equals triple baes! I can't wait til the next book drops!

Great book!!!

I loved this book, great read!!! I love Desai and Cage together. I hope Smith messy self didn’t mess it up for her. I did not like Mika and Smith: women that behave like that, messing with men that you already know in a relationship. I hope Shy and Crane stay together and work it out. I hope Keem don’t go kill nobody, he was pissed to the max. That Reyah was something crazy, I just hope she doesn’t try to do anything crazy cause Cage ain’t having it. Patiently waiting part 2.

Lawd have mercy....

First and foremost, Reyah needed to be kicked in the throat for treating Cannon like that. Cage shouldn’t have allowed it either. Even his momma sounded dumb...just do what’s necessary to make sure she can take care of her son. Heck nawl, that’s what Reyah unfit tail should have done automatically. Desai should exit stage left. They had too much going on. Crane was a dumbbell and deserved Smith, not Shy. And now Leah, dumber than dumb self is going to make Reem a single parent😳😳

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I knew I wasn’t going to like Smith, she ain’t 💩 She’s the worse kinda friend. I felt so bad for Shy, but also feel that if she knew what he was doing she should’ve left already🤷🏾‍♀️ Cage is bae😍 I love how even though he didn’t want children, he loved and took care of his baby boy. Reyah was pathetic. I don’t really know how I feel about Crane right now but at the moment he also ain’t 💩 🤣 I like Kadeem, o hope he get his baby girl with no problems. Can’t wait to see how this plays out.

Cage & Crane

Cage and Crane are like Day and Night literally! Crane the more level headed brother thinks Rationally Unlike Cage. Desai is a great person and is very passionate about her baking. However Smith is NOT her REAL friend 💁🏽‍♀️. Instead of being happy for her friend about a power move she just made, she’s upset because Crane doesn’t want her but Cage wants Desai. I think Smith messy & hateful and had something to do with Priest coming at them during the event. I can’t wait to read part two ☺️

Amazing

I always like reading from K.C Mills . Definitely love Desai and Shy two independent women trying to expand their business . Cage and crane going through two different problems in their life and crane have a war on the rise with his enemy priest . I’m glad cage step up to take care of his son . Crane deserve to sweat to see if shy stays with him but he continues to mess with Smith . I can’t stay Smith and she seems to think it’s ok playing second to another woman I do t care how hard life get I wouldn’t be a side chick . Can’t wait to see what happen next

I loved everything about this book! You are an excellent writer! That Smith...she needs to get whooped for sure! Sometimes you really can’t help who you are tied too...and in that case it’s Des...she needs to let Smith go. I LOVE Cage! I have a feeling is BM is going to try to stir up some problems in book 2! Priest is slick with it when it comes to Smith...he knows what he is doing. I hope the babysitter is not in on it too...Keem will definitely handle that! Man I can’t wait for part 2!

This hood love story was nothing short of an endless yet not-too-abnormal rollercoaster ride of good versus evil. The twins were very different in their approaches to life and relationships, yet similar in others. They wanted love but the alluring call for money and power drowned that out... until they found "the one" who made sacrificing all worthwhile.

An unpredictable twist came in the form of them learning about, and later meeting, their long lost brother. Only to discover that he was working for the enemy. You can just about imagine how that worked out for them.

Keep your enemies close

This is such a good read and perfect example of keeping your enemies close. Priest, the name does nothing for him but in reality that name is everything to the Andrew brother's. The twins and Rakeem are blood brother's that's all but the one thing in common is the enemy priest. Smith, well she's a friend enemy to Desi and a nightmare to Cage or Crane, I can't keep the names apart but once Shy gets whin of the infidelity all heck breaks loose. Drama, crime and a sorry baby momma is in full affect with this series.

Totally Lost!

I can definitely agree with the title because when there is so much chaos around you all at once and your loved ones and significant others can't use any of there five senses to find you, then something is truly missing and that's Love. Whether it's camouflaged, unconditional or hood love, it is important in any situation. Hopefully it is found before it is too late. Staying encouraged for the next installment that all the characters get that love that is searched for. Great Read! ReneeG 👍

I loved the flow of this book and I need me a Cage in my life lol

I really like Cage and Desai together!! They make a perfect couple honestly. Crane is wrong for how he was doing Shy. I feel like Smith knew that Preist was going to retaliate at Shy's event. I can't wait to see what happens when their brother goes to get his daughter from his baby momma because she been doing some sneaky ish for sometime now! Can't wait for part 2

Cage and Crane are brothers who have a very close bond and protect each other at all cost. Cage us the rational brother while Crane is the crazy don't think before he makes decisions in his life and hurt those he love unintentionally. Shy is the love of his life but smith won't give up. Cage has finally found love in Desai but his baby mom can't handle it and it's causing her mental illness to appear and cause problems with her carrying for there son. Hurry up part 2.#770

Anxiously awaiting part 2!! Hoping Shy and Crane can work it out but I can see Smith being a problem. Especially with her new sponsor, side chicks never knowing how to stay in their lane, I digress. I love how Cage and Desai support one another, I hope that doesn't change with Reyah trying to reclaim her son... Speaking of which, Reyah needs to concentrate on being mom and co-parenting with Cage but I already see that's not going to happen. Another great book from an awesome author.

Two hot twins? Oh heck yeah!

Lost In That Hood Love, 5 stars and good to the very end. It’s not often that I don’t put a book down, but this book had me reading in the car, in the restroom, at the dinner table, while pretending to be in a conversation with my husband, while at my desk working 🤫.. do I need to say more?! Can’t wait to start book 2, just hate I have to wait until tomorrow 😢

This series is gonna be lit. I can’t wait to read book 2. There is a lot of chaos going on. But I know the twins and their baby brother is gonna come out on top. Shy needs to take a dirt nap she’s doing way to much for my liking but like her bestfriend said she’s gonna get her karma. Patting my feet while sipping on Pepsi and eating popcorn

Whew, so much is happening at once!!!!!!!!!!

What was supposed to be an evening of networking turned to chaos. Smith should of declined Desai invitation but when envy rears it’s ugly head it’s very hard to contain it. I just need Cage, Crane and Rakeem to come together because Preist is getting out of hand.....

A must read!!

K.C. Mills, this was good and I hate to wait a freaking week.. I know selfish.. lol but I just wanna say I love me some Cage. I wanted to fight Crane but he's paying for it. In part 2 I'm hoping that Shay kicks Smith's ass. And let's kill Priest. Ok that's it for now.

WOW

I fell in love with each character. I find it hard to read the crazy things women will do to get a man. As a woman you have to respect yourself or no one else will. Smith made me mad and she has her day coming. Crane and Cage are twins and both men are the real deal. This book was so good I could not put it down. Thank you KC, you have done it again!!!

Remarkable read

I enjoyed from beginning to end. Shy from the beginning seemed not to have a backbone and was just a pushover, Love does that🤦🏾‍♀️ Desai from the beginning was just straight forward can’t complain. I’m ready for the next installment because all the Andrews men are creating chaos including Rahkeem
